    Universal Studios Japan (USJ)

    After spending the day out, it was a huge help that the park was so close. The Room was spacious, and we were able to relax. It was really nice to be able to enjoy a welcome drink in the lobby right after arrival. The only disappointing thing was that a group in another Room was being too loud, and their voices bothered us.

    It was great.

    I stayed on a Plan where the Room type is assigned by the Accommodation. It was a short stay, but I was able to relax. Since there were also international guests, many of them were probably going to Universal Studios, and some left the restaurant before 8:00 when breakfast started, so it seemed like they were moving according to the park’s opening time. Unexpectedly, watching that scene was quite enjoyable. Thank you very much.

    We ordered an optional cake, and they prepared it for us! They accommodated our requests, and every staff member was courteous. The Room was clean, the view was wonderful, and it made for an amazing trip!

    More of a spacious business hotel than a resort.

    The location is excellent, and the staff are kind and courteous. The Room is spacious for the price, but not very user-friendly. There is no desk or chair—only something more like a bench than a sofa. There are no bottled water, tea, or other amenities in the Room, so using the convenience store inside the Hotel is essential. The bathroom and toilet are separate and easy to use, which is good. However, the parking fee is far too expensive. Even a long-established 5-star Hotel in Nakanoshima charges 1,500 yen per night, but here it’s 3,500 yen. This is my first time paying over 2,000 yen per night in Osaka. Since I stayed for three nights, it easily exceeded 10,000 yen. Also, if you exceed the 24-hour period starting from 13:00, an additional 500 yen per 30 minutes will be charged. Normally there’s no extra charge before or after your stay. So overall, don’t expect much hospitality—this place feels more like a Business Hotel just for sleeping.

    It was quiet and comfortable.

    We won USJ tickets, and since it was a great opportunity, we decided to stay overnight and chose this Hotel. For us, tired from walking all day, having a Hotel right in front of the park was truly a lifesaver! The staff were all very kind and friendly, creating a welcoming, homey atmosphere that made our stay comfortable. The Room was also easy to use, with the toilet and bath separated. Above all, it was convenient that each floor had washing machines, an ice machine, and a water dispenser. It was so nice being able to grab ice without taking the elevator that I ended up going many times. Breakfast was delicious too—I ate so much that I didn’t even need lunch. My favorites were the coconut water, poke bowl, and fried pineapple! It was a wonderful Accommodation where I’d love to stay again.

    A disappointing Hotel that wasn’t guest-first

    I checked in at a reasonably early hour since I didn’t stay at the park until closing, but the Room I had reserved was not ready. After completing check-in and right before handing me the key, I was told, “We’re sorry for our convenience, but this Room has been set up with three beds.” This Hotel has plenty of small, inexpensive Rooms. I specifically chose a larger Room because I didn’t want a cramped one. Normally, you would either move us to a higher-grade Room or, at the very least, say something like: “The Room is currently set up with three beds; we will reset it for you—could we have a little time?” Instead of taking the trouble to remove the extra bed themselves, they forced us to accept it “as is” and simply put up with it. I stay more than 10 nights a year both in Japan and abroad, and this was the first time I’ve experienced service like this. I was so stunned that I had no words.

    It feels like only the exterior and lobby are luxurious...

    Because it was a budget Plan, I can’t complain too much, but if there were plenty of Rooms available, I wish we had been upgraded as well. It made me wonder if this Hotel gives preferential treatment only to foreign guests. We became friendly with a foreign guest who spoke quite good Japanese, and while talking we found out that even though we were staying for about the same price, we were assigned a Room on the 4th floor while they were upgraded to the 25th floor. That was very disappointing. They also said they did not pay any additional fee. As for our Room, when we opened the curtains there was a fence right in front of us, with overgrown weeds beyond it—no view at all. Even though we stayed at an official Universal Studios hotel, it felt like being in a Business Hotel. In hindsight, I regret not choosing another official hotel at the same price with a park-view Room on floors 15–22. If this is how guests are treated, then it’s just close to the park and has a stylish exterior and lobby—nothing more. I won’t use it again.

    Once a year, I visit...

    Once a year, I visit Universal with my daughter’s family. We stay at Park Front Hotel. It’s very spacious for two families, which we really like. We look forward to staying again next time.

    Be aware that it may be difficult to find dinner nearby.

    We planned to stay at USJ until closing, so we made a Reservation at this Hotel, the closest to USJ. Our ticket entry time was 14:00, so we arrived at the Hotel around 13:00. At first, we assumed we would use coin lockers for our luggage, but the 안내 said, “Please speak to the front desk to use the coin lockers.” When we asked at the front desk, they checked us in right away and told us they would bring our luggage to our Room once it was ready. (This kind of service is subtly convenient and really nice.) We enjoyed USJ from 14:00, but by 21:30 our feet were hurting, so we went back to the Hotel once to drop off souvenirs in the Room before going out for dinner. However, most restaurants in Universal City had last orders by 21:30. The restaurants and bar inside the Hotel also closed by 22:00, so we ended up going to the convenience store attached to the Hotel for dinner. What I learned is that it’s fine if you eat at USJ—but many places there require a Reservation—so if you don’t eat (or can’t) and return to the Hotel late, you may unexpectedly struggle to find dinner options. (Even around 22:00, though, the convenience store selection was excellent—so it’s not an issue if that works for you.) After dinner from the convenience store, we wanted a massage for our tired feet after all that walking. It’s rare these days to find a Hotel where you can request massages; however, when we tried making a Reservation after returning to the Hotel, they told us it was fully booked. It seems best to book your massage in advance before heading out to USJ. (The staff kindly adjusted things for us and we were able to get massages somehow—but I think it depends on availability.) Thanks to the massage my legs felt much better and I slept very well that night. (I’m truly grateful to everyone at this Hotel who helped arrange it.) Lastly—breakfast: since we chose a Plan with breakfast included this time, we ate at the restaurant on the 3rd floor. It was a standard buffet style meal; surprisingly (and happily), there was an excellent selection of Japanese dishes as well. The food tasted great too—if you stay at this Hotel I recommend choosing an option with meals included. Overall satisfaction was very high; if I visit USJ again next time, I will definitely stay at this same Hotel again.

    Is there room for improvement in the breakfast buffet?

    The Hotel is on the left as you exit the station and head toward the park, and it’s the closest one to the gate—an unbeatable location. Since we stayed on a Friday during spring break, there were quite a lot of guests, but the front desk staff were very kind and courteous. We booked with breakfast this time, and as expected (or even more than expected), it was extremely crowded. Even the elevator to the restaurant felt like a local train—coming down from the 27th floor, it stopped at every floor. The restaurant capacity also felt quite small for the number of Rooms. The overflow area we were shown to when it was full had a cafeteria-style layout clearly meant for large groups. That area also filled up very early, and a long line formed in the hallway outside. To ease congestion, they really need measures such as assigning time slots (e.g., three seating periods) or providing a separate restaurant for higher floors—some level of entry control seems necessary. It was disappointing that even staying on an upper floor lost its premium feel because of breakfast in the morning. That said, both Room size and amenities were excellent, and the shower pressure was strong and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the view—the flow of people below, lights from the park, and even faintly seeing part of Mount Rokko in the distance. Checkout was easy as well: since we had paid in advance on IKYU’s website, we just dropped off our key. We were able to leave without lining up at all. Overall satisfaction was high. That’s why how disappointing breakfast was stood out even more.

    It wasn’t what I expected.

    I expected a luxury Hotel based on the photos and price, but it felt more like a large family-oriented Hotel. With the holiday crowds, we had to wait for everything. The staff seemed used to handling large numbers of guests, but it didn’t feel particularly welcoming. Also, the Facility is outdated. On the plus side, it was close to USJ, and the bathroom with a separate washing area was nice. Since many recent Business Hotels are excellent and I had high expectations for the price, I was a bit disappointed.

    We stayed here to celebrate our 1-year anniversary as a couple. - The staff member who handled our check-in was very polite, quickly corrected any mistakes, and double-checked everything. Their smile was wonderful too, which made us feel at ease! - The silver balloon decorations looked exactly like the photos and were so cute—perfect for pictures. - The walls, floors, mirrors, glass, and bathtub were all spotless and sparkling. (Even when we filled the tub and the glass window fogged up, no handprints or marks appeared—everything had been polished incredibly well!) - The pool bath was very spacious and doesn’t trap heat, so it’s easy to enjoy a long soak! - The towels were fluffy. - I made a surprise Reservation through the Hotel’s official website—the “White & Red Strawberry Cake” was absolutely delicious! I couldn’t stop eating the strawberries. - The staff member who brought the cake also had a lovely smile and kindly asked, “Would you like me to take a photo?” Such thoughtful service! - We had a park view with large glass windows, so the view was amazing! We watched Universal Studios Japan from the day before, and we couldn’t contain our excitement! - A female restaurant staff member explained everything clearly and politely. - They timed the surprise plate perfectly—flawless timing. This time we requested Room decorations as well as a cake, sparkling cider (non-alcoholic), and plates at the restaurant. Everything was just like in the photos—cute and delicious. The staff’s smiles and kind words were also wonderful. We’ve stayed at this Hotel whenever we visit Universal Studios Japan for some time now—everything is unbelievably clean! It’s always spotless no matter when we come. The staff are consistently polite and kind—I can’t imagine staying anywhere else. Thank you as always! We’re off to enjoy Universal Studios Japan!!!!!!!

    Not thoroughly cleaned.

    The breakfast restaurant food was delicious, but the restaurant was not well cleaned. Dust had built up on the window sills, and I found it strange that they weren’t cleaned even though it’s a place where people eat. Several times, I found hair caught in the towels in my room, which left me feeling uncomfortable. It looked clean at first glance, which made it all the more disappointing.

    The USJ Official Hotel in the Best Location

    Just steps from the main entrance of USJ, with Universal CityWalk right in front. Among the park’s official Hotels, it boasts an unbeatable No. 1 location. There’s also a convenience store inside the Hotel, making it extremely convenient. With Wolfgang’s pizza concept and Tully’s Coffee on-site as well, you’ll have everything you need during your stay. The interior is full of USJ flair. Familiar globe displays and a large clock sculpture let you stay immersed in the USJ atmosphere even outside the park. The elevators were especially memorable, featuring a large rotating ceiling clock and humorous floor indicators. Compared with the public areas, the guest rooms feel fairly standard. This may be because we stayed in a standard room type, but there is a noticeable gap compared to the common spaces. As it has been about 10 years since opening, some areas may feel slightly dated. There is also a wide open space with minimal furniture, making it easy to spread out your suitcase. Breakfast is served buffet-style. It gets very crowded, and if you don’t arrive right at opening time you may be seated in an overflow banquet room. While the buffet menu is basically the same, many items are only available in the main dining area, which makes getting around a bit inconvenient. The selection and flavors were both classic and straightforward.

    Universal Studios Japan (USJ)

    I stayed at this Hotel again to visit USJ. The large chandelier right at the entrance lifted my spirits, I could buy tickets inside the Hotel, the breakfast buffet was delicious, and the strawberry-themed decoration area was adorable.

    Perhaps you remember...

    Perhaps you remembered the request I wrote when I stayed the time before last, because the Room I used on the first day this time was comfortable and quiet with no noise carrying through. On the second day, after changing Rooms, there was loud thumping noise until late at night, but that really comes down to other guests’ manners. I always ask for an extra set of the travel-size toner because if I use it at night, there isn’t any left for the next morning. It would be helpful if there were enough provided from the start for both nighttime and the following morning. It’s my favorite Hotel, and I’ll be staying again around June. Thank you very much.

    Overall, it is good.

    I would like to stay here again. The Facility may be old, but it is well cleaned, so the age did not bother me. What I liked - The staff were very helpful, which made me feel at ease. - Late checkout time. - From the Room, you can check how crowded the entrance gate is. - Separate bath and toilet, with good water pressure. - To reduce congestion, they settle the Accommodation Tax at check-in and provide coin lockers for guests on a different floor instead of storing luggage at the front desk, which made everything smooth. What could be improved - There was only one power outlet by the bed; having two would have been better. The outlet on the TV stand was also loose and hard to use for charging. - No complimentary water. It’s just a service, but most Hotels provide it, so it was a bit disappointing. - When I chose “amenities replacement only” for Room cleaning, my trash was not collected; it would have been nice to have an option to request trash pickup as well.

    The best Hotel for visiting Universal Studios!!

    Whenever I go to Universal Studios Japan from Tokyo, I always stay here. Since I’m not familiar with Osaka at all, staying here the night before gives me peace of mind—USJ is just a 5-minute trip the next morning. The Hotel’s gorgeous interior really gets you in the mood for USJ. Best of all, I could even see the USJ entrance from my Room window! The street where the Hotel is located is lined with restaurants and convenience stores, and the flashy neon lights are fun—almost like being in Las Vegas. I’d love to stay again.

    The Room offers a fu...

    The Room offers a full view of the park, and we were able to relax until midday, which was great for recovering from the previous day’s fun. Since the Room is spacious, it would be nice to have a few more bedside tables or small tables for personal items. The breakfast area is divided into sections with a wide variety of options and health-focused choices, so clearer signage would be helpful. (The sections are connected and you can access both, but it’s hard to tell.)

    It was comfortable.

    The bathroom and toilet were a bit old, but they were kept very clean, so it didn’t feel unpleasant. The parking fee was expensive, which is probably unavoidable given the location. However, unlike the tight parking lots you often find at Hotels in the city center, it was spacious enough that even a slightly larger car was no problem. Other than that, the view was great, and above all it was convenient with USJ and the dining area nearby. The restaurant (the strawberry buffet dinner) was also very delicious, and we were satisfied.

    The location is excellent.

    The Hotel’s location is perfect for spending time at USJ. The Facility was great as well, with the bath and toilet separate, so we could relax in the bath. The Room was spacious enough for three of us (a parent and child) to stay comfortably. However, I’m not sure if it was from the guests on the floor above, but there were extremely loud noises—like jumping—late at night and early in the morning that echoed into our Room, and it was disappointing that we couldn’t sleep well. This issue was due to other guests, and there was absolutely no fault on the Hotel’s side. Other than that, we were satisfied. We would like to stay here again when we visit USJ.

    Ideal for families

    We stayed for two nights as a family (adults only). The Room was spacious enough, and since we had a park-front corner Room, we could relax while looking down at Universal Studios. It was our first time visiting Universal Studios, and the Hotel was very close. The on-site restaurant (Wolfgang) was excellent and the service was great, so we ate there two days in a row. All of the Hotel staff were pleasant as well, so we decided to come back—and we’ve already completed another Reservation for a few months from now. Overall, it’s a great Hotel. The only thing that bothered us was that the walls and door of the separate toilet are quite thin, so sounds carry completely when someone is using it. If you’re staying with friends, it could feel pretty awkward. That’s the one downside for us—you’d need to be considerate by turning up the TV volume or similar.

    In reality, it is different from the photos shown.

    I booked the Room expecting it to match the photos, but honestly I was disappointed as soon as I walked in. When I filled the bath, the glass stayed fogged up, so I couldn’t enjoy"the night view. In addition, I left an item behind during a two-night stay at the Hotel, but it was never found. I also can’t recommend the breakfast. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

    Highly satisfied

    We stayed in a luxury room with a guaranteed 3 m pool bath. I was able to successfully surprise my girlfriend for her birthday, and it was amazing. The anniversary options were a great touch. I’d love to stay again.

    Although this was my first stay, I was completely satisfied with everything—the location, the staff’s hospitality, the comfort of the Room, and the quality of breakfast! I’ll definitely stay here again next time I visit USJ.

    This was my first time using it.

    It was very convenient, right in front of USJ. Since we were a family of five, the Room was spacious and wonderful, with a separate toilet and a bathroom with a washing area (with a view of USJ), and my family was very satisfied! There was an ice machine, water dispenser, and laundry facilities in the hallway, which was great. The Room also had a humidifier, glasses, kettle, coffee maker, refrigerator, pajamas, bath towels, bathrobe, and amenities—very well equipped. However, it was disappointing that dust was noticeable. We arrived at the Hotel around 1:00 PM. There were plenty of parking spaces. However, at check-in there were about 60 groups in line that day but only three staff members at the front desk. We waited an hour to finally check in. Even then we were told it was still too early for check-in time, so we only left our luggage and did not receive our room key. After enjoying USJ and returning to the Hotel later, we checked in again and received the room key. We had booked a Plan with breakfast included but did not receive any breakfast vouchers; I assumed they would confirm by room number on the day. After waiting 30 minutes at the breakfast venue line up front desk insisted that without breakfast vouchers it would not be allowed. I went back to the Room to look for them but couldn’t find any; when I called from the Room phone I was told it was because the Hotel had forgotten to issue them. Both coffee servers at restaurant were out of order as well; even so staff said “Please go to that server,” without guiding us there or checking that both machines were broken—maybe they were too busy. Regarding parking payment as well: when checking out I asked at reception whether I could pay in advance if leaving by 1:00 PM; I was told advance payment wasn’t possible unless I exited immediately. They also said payment machines accepted cash or credit cards but it turned out cash only worked. The Hotel itself was very nice. I hope customer service and cleaning will improve.

    I was very pleased with the room upgrade and had a comfortable and enjoyable stay! The individually packaged skincare set provided as amenities saved me the trouble of bringing my own, which was incredibly convenient. We stayed as a pair, and while there was one set per person, there weren’t enough for the next morning. However, when I asked the staff, they promptly brought more, which was very helpful. I plan to visit again in March. Since it’s close to my birthday, I decided on this accommodation without hesitation as a treat for myself. I’m already looking forward to it!

    The view and the bath are excellent, but the luxury floor lacks a sense of exclusivity.

    A high-floor room with a view of Universal Studios and a comfortable bath pool. The room itself was excellent. I would like to stay again. However, I had two complaints: 1. The sense of exclusivity for the luxury floor. Apart from "check-in being at a separate counter instead of the main front desk," there didn’t seem to be any other special treatment. I wish the elevator had been exclusive for this floor, as it was inconvenient to stop multiple times before reaching the front desk level. It would have been nice if there were additional perks, such as offering welcome drinks at a drink bar or providing something unique for guests on the luxury floor. 2. As others have mentioned, cleaning issues? The paint on the edge near the window in the bath area was peeling significantly, and debris from it had accumulated in the drain... It should have been cleaned up properly, and leaving it unrepaired seems careless. It's unfortunate because it's such a great room. That said, when I called prior to my stay regarding some inquiries, their phone service was excellent!
