    Thank you for your patronage.

    I understood why this place, with its history of therapeutic hot springs, is so peaceful. Here are some points that would have been very helpful: ① There is only one shuttle bus after check-out, so it would be helpful to have an additional service for later departures. ② Since there are no convenience stores nearby, it would be helpful to have light snacks and sweets available (sold at the shop). Thank you for taking care of us during our one-night stay.

    The Joy of Blending the Old and New

    Thank you very much for your hospitality. Both the Ryokan section and the healing section, where we could fully enjoy the Showa-era atmosphere, and the new venture, the separate villa "Kokoro no Koku Ichigatsu," were both very good. We had our meals at the separate villa, and we were able to enjoy dishes that made the most of the quality ingredients from Iwate Prefecture for both breakfast and dinner. It was very delicious. We were also soothed by the heartfelt service of all the staff.

    There were some areas that were not well attended to.

    About ten years ago, I visited the Shirouma no Yu for a day trip. I was looking forward to it as it was a new style of property called Juusan-gatsu. The facility and the food were wonderful, but there was a noticeable lint ball in the shower booth, which was disappointing. Since it is a private bath that others use every day, I hope the cleaning is done thoroughly.

    Review and stay

    I stayed with high expectations due to the excellent reviews. The hospitality service was good, but the foreign staff member's broken Japanese was hard to understand. Also, despite the continued hot days in October, the room had the heating on. When I inquired at the front desk, I was told that it was switched to heating because it gets cold in the mornings and evenings, and the entire property could only do heating and ventilation, so it couldn't be switched to cooling. The dressing rooms for the open-air baths also had heating on and were hot. The onsen itself was from a hot spring, and the water temperature was very hot, so it was uncomfortable even after returning to the room. I slept almost naked at night. It was nice to stay in a room with an onsen and be able to bathe anytime, but the shower room was full of mold and lacked hygiene. The inability to spend comfortably was a negative factor. The meals were delicious. I won't be repeating... It's a nice ryokan, so I hope they thoroughly maintain the room's hygiene.

    It was good.

    Room with Onsen! I had a very luxurious time. The food was also elaborately prepared and was wonderful. The disappointing part was that the air conditioning didn't work, and I couldn't stop sweating after the onsen. There was no shop, so I couldn't buy souvenirs to take home. Nevertheless, the service was attentive, and it was a satisfying stay.

    Onsen and gourmet cuisine, the ultimate luxury.

    Thank you very much for the other day. It was my first visit, and I was amazed by the spacious room and the semi-open-air bath in the guestroom, which exceeded my expectations. The sound of the river flowing outside the room was soothing. I was also delighted to be able to enjoy Fujisan Onsen. The meals were excellent, and the kind and clear communication from the hotel staff made my stay very pleasant.

    The room was too modern...

    I was delighted to receive polite words of thanks from the landlady and staff when I brought souvenirs. All the staff were full of hospitality. The room with a free-flowing hot spring bath was lovely, but it was a bit too modern for us. The traditional and charming hot spring was wonderful.

    The food is delicious, but the room is still uncomfortable.

    As the reviews mentioned, the room is indeed flashy and unsettling. Some people have described it as a love hotel, and I would agree. However, there are works by artists representing Japan, and I think the owner might have been involved, but it's difficult to say. It seems to be a matter of personal taste. The strange smell when opening the door was also concerning. The bed creaked, the springs were uncomfortable, and the pillows didn't suit me. The towels and the bath in the room were good, but the drainage in the washing area seemed to be a structural flaw or perhaps the pipes weren't cleaned, causing a blockage and accumulation of dirty water, which was unpleasant. I called the front desk at 11 PM, but there was no answer at all. I felt that if something happened, I wouldn't be able to get help here. The dining area also had an unsettling atmosphere and flashy tableware, which felt out of place. The food was truly delicious, and the tuna and fruits were fresh. The pot was cute, and the crab was prepared in a way that made it easy to eat, which was a shame. I thought the desserts could be sold here. I just want to eat the food. (No need to stay) And the Fuji San Ryokan connected by the corridor is something else. Being a lead hot spring and a healing place, there are rooms without keys, and some rooms have just a thin piece of cloth hanging on the door, which is quite astonishing. There are many mixed bathing times, and since there are gentlemen who stay until the very last minute of the changeover time, it's better to go with a little leeway in time. The standing height of 125 cm is interesting, but mixed bathing... I couldn't imagine entering this large bath, so I went during the women's time.

    The hot spring is excellent.

    This was my first time staying here. The room was modern and clean, and the open-air bath was a natural hot spring, so I could enter it freely at any time, and the quality of the spring was very good! Additionally, I could use the main building's hot spring, and the Shirazaru no Yu was especially excellent! The quality of the spring was the best I've experienced compared to other hot springs. In terms of service, the lounge, both in the main building and here, was disappointing. In the main building's lounge, there was a wide variety of draft beer and sake, but it was a shame that the delicious sake was served at room temperature. It would be better if they could transfer it to a decanter or something and keep it in the refrigerator instead of using a large bottle. Also, the lounge here only had wine and coffee, which was disappointing. The main building's lounge was crowded and didn't feel relaxing, so I hope they enhance the lounge here more! As for the food, I chose the best course since it was a special occasion, but overall, the flavors were strong and lacked sophistication. The ingredients were good, but I think the cooking methods need to be more refined to match the price. The soup at breakfast, on the other hand, had no taste or broth flavor... It was supposed to be local cuisine, but it was poor. The food was not great, but the room and hot springs were very good. Also, I think the staff were good too.

    Cost performance

    If the hot springs at Fujimi Ryokan are unavailable, there was a review online that likened it to a luxury love hotel, and I could see why from the room's appearance. Even though it was a Western-style room, I wished it had a bit more warmth. The dark brown tile felt cold. It's fine to employ foreigners for service and dining, but there were moments when communication didn't work. It's not just about being proficient in Japanese. The meals were ordinary for the price of the stay. We left a bit early, but there was no send-off. Despite the good facilities, live Clavinova performances, the luxurious semi-open-air bath in the room, large TV, and cleanliness, the cost performance was unsatisfactory. It might be suitable for young couples, but I don't think it's suitable for the elderly. I believe it's a matter of concept.

    I feel it's unbalanced.

    Did I expect too much? The reviews from everyone were good, so I decided on this inn. The meals were impeccable, both in taste and quantity, and I was very satisfied. However, while I understand the desire to be stylish, the balance with the main building was poor, and overall it was not a comfortable space. Moreover, the bath was lukewarm, and when I asked to make it hotter, an employee came from the front desk, removed the floor tiles, and released the hot water. Naturally, during this time, I couldn't use it, and the employee was in the room... I felt it was just a name to say it had an open-air bath. The trip was ruined.
