    Children are delighted.

    For our first trip to Hokuriku, we decided to stay in Kanazawa and chose Sainoniwa. Thank you for your hospitality. The hotel was new, stylish, and the Room was spacious and comfortable—absolutely perfect! Our child was so happy and kept saying they didn’t want to leave until the very end. The calm atmosphere and kind service were also much appreciated. The breakfast buffet offered a variety of colorful dishes and adorable sweets, making it an enjoyable meal. Even our picky eater found something they liked, which made them happy too. Seeing our child so delighted brought us joy as parents as well. If we visit Kanazawa again, we would definitely love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

    A Hotel You Must Stay at When Visiting Kanazawa

    Stayed at the accommodation for the first time in three years. I was delighted to be greeted at the front desk and once again impressed by the delicious breakfast. This is definitely a hotel I want to visit again.

    Excellent Stay!!!

    This was my second stay at your hotel, this time for six nights. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, the room was spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable, and the breakfast each morning was delicious. Your hotel shuttle bus service added great convenience to my trips to and from the station. I especially appreciated a staff member who kindly came outside during the fireworks event around 21:00 to guide me when I was struggling to find a parking space. Her thoughtfulness left a deep impression on me—thank you so much for your help! The hotel delivers service with heart, and I will definitely return again and recommend it to others.

    I would love to stay here again.

    It was an amazing Hotel that truly deserves its high ratings! Honestly, I would love to visit again! With the increase in international tourists across various regions, prices have risen, making it harder to use such services. However, I sincerely hope that "Sainoniwa Hotel" will continue to maintain its excellent cost-performance for years to come.

    Long-Awaited Kanazawa

    I had always wanted to visit Kanazawa. This time, I visited for the first time on a 2-night, 3-day trip as my husband attended his school reunion. I stayed at the Hotel on the second night while spending the first night separately from my husband. First of all, the Hotel's view, courtyard, and Room were absolutely beautiful, allowing me to enjoy a truly happy and relaxing time. The breakfast that I had been looking forward to due to its great reputation exceeded expectations. Every dish made with local ingredients was delicious, and my husband mentioned it was the best buffet he has ever had. Both the bus driver and Hotel staff were incredibly kind and left us with wonderful memories. Although it may be difficult to visit frequently from Fukuoka, I hope to return during another season someday. Thank you very much!

    Safe and welcoming for families with small children!

    This is a wonderful hotel, especially suitable for families with children. ~Highlights~ 1. Rooms where you take off your shoes, which was helpful for our crawling daughter. 2. Staff helped carry our luggage from the parking lot to the room despite having many bags. 3. The corners of the room's luggage rack or table were rounded for safety. 4. Each floor has a rental room with items like bath toys available. 5. The bathroom in the room was spacious enough to accommodate two adults and two children comfortably, including the bathtub area. 6. We stayed in a "Separate Deluxe" room, and its Japanese-style layout was very comfortable—no steps except at the shoe-removal area made it easy to move around barefooted or in socks. 7. There were picture books available, and my son enjoyed going back and forth between our room and the book corner. 8. While there’s no dinner service within the hotel, they provide delivery menu options in their guide materials with plenty of choices available! We opted for takeout from Kanazawa Station instead but found this option convenient for those who prefer staying in while their kids nap. ~Areas for Improvement~ (These are minor suggestions as everything else was excellent!) 1. The kids' play area on the first floor is not very large; it might get crowded during weekends or busy times. 2. Parking can be slightly confusing as it’s located next to another company’s parking lot despite clear arrows pointing directions. 3. While breakfast includes a kids’ section, there aren’t too many options specifically catered toward them. 4 If designed with families in mind further consideration could include selling essentials like milk or diapers onsite. We didn’t use facilities like public baths but had an overall satisfying stay at this hotel! Definitely planning to return when visiting Kanazawa again! Also worth mentioning—the staff were fantastic; they even interacted kindly with my son which we greatly appreciated!

    The staff are friendly.

    The staff, including the phone operators and access bus drivers, were all very pleasant. The Hotel is located in a residential-like area. Although it says 15 minutes on foot from Kanazawa Station, the distance feels too far to walk when taking the bus. However, since the access buses run relatively frequently, it might not be much of an inconvenience. The Room itself has no particular standout features. If shoes are prohibited indoors, perhaps higher-quality slippers would be appreciated. The large public bath is not an Onsen and does not have an open-air bath either, so it doesn't provide a relaxing soak experience. A sauna would have been nice to have as well. Breakfast was enjoyable; each dish was sufficiently delicious. The colorful wafer for the ice cream monaka was also fun to see and eat! Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

    Dinner is excellent.

    Not only was the highly-rated breakfast delicious, but the dinner was also enjoyable. I tried to burn off the extra calories in the training room, but it might have been a futile effort. Dinner had a designated time slot, so I could sit without waiting; however, breakfast did not have a set time, leading to overlapping schedules and about a 10-minute wait to enter the dining area. I regret not knowing which staff member writes such thoughtful replies to reviews. I haven't written reviews recently, but I decided to write this one hoping for a reply (and curious about what kind of response I'd receive). The free charging for electric vehicles was also appreciated. Thank you for your warm hospitality and smiles!

    I stayed here for my first solo trip to Kanazawa. Although I arrived much later than the check-in time I had informed in advance due to meeting an old friend living in Kanazawa, both the hotel staff and the shuttle service from Kanazawa Station were incredibly kind when I called to inform them, for which I am very grateful. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the well-maintained garden, lobby, hallways, and other shared facilities provided a sense of comfort and cleanliness. During my two-night stay, breakfast menus differed each day. Not only could I enjoy seasonal ingredients from Ishikawa Prefecture, but also the creative combinations of cooking methods and ingredients sparked curiosity—I even wanted to buy some as souvenirs and try recreating them at home! Above all else, what made me happiest was the warm hospitality and friendly smiles of the wonderful hotel staff. As Kanazawa gains increasing attention as a tourist destination in recent years with many visitors coming through, I'm sure there are both joys and challenges involved. While located slightly away from downtown areas, this adds a sense of tranquility that appeals to travelers seeking such an atmosphere. The thoughtful elements catering to these needs made my stay truly valuable here. Thank you very much!

    Onsen

    There is no open-air bath, so air circulation is almost impossible. The ventilation fan is small, and just entering the bath makes the heat overwhelming. If the bath is that hot, it needs proper air exchange; otherwise, it could be a harmful environment for people with heart conditions. It might be fine when multiple people are present, but I felt it could be dangerous when no one else is around. Other than that, there’s nothing in particular to mention.

    It was relaxing.

    I stayed here to attend an artist's live performance, and it exceeded my expectations. The space was sophisticated, like being in an art museum. The Room was also excellent. It happened to be my birthday, and the thoughtful service was very pleasant. This was my first trip to Kanazawa, but I plan to stay here again. It became a truly wonderful memory.     The view was not very impressive.

    When taking the elevator from the room to the bath, it opens on the front desk side. The staff greets you, which is appreciated but a bit nerve-wracking. The hotel seems to pride itself on its courtyard, but due to construction starting at 9 AM the next morning, protective sheets were placed on the windows. During breakfast, workers entered with ladders and tools, making it hard to relax or take a walk after eating. Ended up staying in the room. Couldn’t this have been scheduled during less busy hours? Starting early Sunday morning felt like being pulled back into reality. While this was explained at check-in, if it had been mentioned as a "special condition" during reservation, I would have avoided booking. Since it's located next to residential areas, views from the room included locals exercising, running, or hanging laundry—again pulling me back into reality. Came for Kaga Hyakumangoku Festival but couldn’t fully relax. The food was delicious though!

    The Shuttle Service ...

    The Shuttle Service and lockers were convenient and excellent. The Room was clean and functional. Breakfast was delicious. The service was very attentive, which impressed me greatly.

    Third stay

    I decided to travel to Kanazawa with a friend and chose "Sai no Niwa Hotel" without hesitation. This was my third stay at this accommodation. Kanazawa is a place I always want to visit again, and this hotel is the same—it's a hotel I definitely want to stay at again. I was deeply impressed by their response when my friend, who stayed with me, accidentally left something behind at the hotel. Everything about this hotel is truly wonderful. I am so satisfied that I even recommend it to my friends whenever they plan a trip to Kanazawa. I would love to stay here again in the future! Thank you for taking care of us during our stay!

    Solo Travel

    The view is of a residential area, which is not ideal, but the breakfast and service are excellent. It would have been even better if blue cheese and smoked king salmon were available for breakfast. The bath is not an Onsen, but it is clean.

    Recommended for those who don't mind being a bit farther from the station.

    Located in a quiet residential area. There is some distance to the nearest convenience store. The only challenge is access from Kanazawa Station, but there are about two shuttle buses per hour, and the ride takes less than 10 minutes. While delivery options are available, I chose to pick up dinner at Kanazawa Station before boarding the bus. Near the shuttle bus stop, next to Hyatt Centric, there are restaurants and a store similar to Seijo Ishii that operates until 8 PM, making it convenient for various purchases. The hospitality was exceptional, making my stay truly pleasant. Each floor is equipped with water dispensers, microwaves, plastic wrap, glasses, ice machines, irons, blankets—everything you might need during your stay. It was very quiet with comfortable beds for a relaxing experience. The 12 PM checkout time was also appreciated. From the shuttle bus driver to the reception staff who saw me off at departure—everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. Thank you for making my birthday trip such a wonderful memory!

    We joined the Hotel's original bus tour. We toured Kanazawa's famous spots in a luxury bus over half a day. With a guide (a foreign woman), we enjoyed sightseeing.

    From the moment I arrived at the hotel entrance, the check-in staff was very helpful, providing clear parking instructions that made my experience convenient. The hotel is modern and new, offering excellent facilities such as a shuttle bus to Kanazawa Station, an onsen, and a fitting room for travelers. The check-in staff was warm and welcoming, clearly explaining the hotel layout and making us feel at home. My room was spacious with floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing a stunning city view. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was perfect for a relaxing bath. Breakfast was one of the highlights of my stay. The hotel offered various ingredients from Ishikawa Prefecture, making it an unforgettable experience. The famous egg omelet is not to be missed! Don’t forget your camera! I truly enjoyed my stay and will definitely return on my next trip.

    When staying with four classmates, my daughter surprised us with a gift and a cake. It was a memorable trip for my 60th birthday, and we were deeply moved to find the gift and cake prepared at the accommodation, shedding tears of joy together. Later, I heard from my daughter that the hotel staff went out to buy the cake for us—thank you so much. It became an unforgettable and precious day in my life.

    We chose this accommodation for our first trip with a child while visiting Kanazawa. Although we may have caused some inconvenience, the staff were incredibly kind and provided excellent service, making our stay very comfortable. We are truly grateful. The location is opposite the main tourist area, but with the shuttle service available, it was not inconvenient at all. The staff were also very helpful during bus boarding and alighting. The type of room we wanted to stay in was not available for two consecutive nights, so we had to move rooms and luggage during our stay; however, the staff took care of everything for us, which was a great help. We appreciated having access to amenities like a diaper disposal bin, detergent, baby soap, and a baby crib (¥2,000 per night). We also made use of the washing machine, dryer, and drying rack provided. While there were many requests we made regarding the room due to traveling with a child who was sleeping at times—making it difficult to communicate everything—we were quite surprised by how dirty the bathtub in one room was; it had black grime stuck on it that required scrubbing with shampoo and towels before use. This aspect was disappointing compared to an otherwise clean experience (the bathtub on our first night’s stay was spotless). For future guests' sake—and though it's uncomfortable mentioning this—we hope such cleaning issues won’t be overlooked again. Aside from that minor issue (and despite us causing some trouble ourselves like staining sheets), everything else about this accommodation exceeded expectations! While not an Onsen facility itself—the public bath felt refreshing nonetheless. Highly recommended if you're visiting Kanazawa with children!

    This is a highly recommended Hotel.

    Compact yet clean and functional, the stay was very comfortable. The vendor area offered a range of items such as a microwave, rental goods (blankets, glasses, children's toys), making it incredibly convenient. Breakfast featured a variety of ingredients and creative preparation methods, both visually appealing and delicious—truly satisfying. Passing through the entrance several times, I noticed staff diligently sweeping up fallen leaves with brooms each time. The well-maintained environment made for an exceptionally pleasant experience.

    I stayed for two nig...

    I stayed for two nights with my sister, also celebrating my birthday. My stay started on April 21st, my birthday, and I was surprised to find that our room number was 421—what a coincidence! The room had a double-door design with a sliding door and an inner door that needed unlocking. Perhaps because of this thoughtful design, the room was very quiet and comfortable. The spacious and clean interior made it a delightful place to stay. I was particularly impressed by the well-thought-out layout. The large public bath provided both bath towels and face towels, so there was no need to bring towels from the room—a very convenient touch. The courtyard was beautiful, and on the first floor, there were drinks available at all times for guests to enjoy freely. Each floor also had library spaces stocked with Kanazawa magazines where you could sit down anytime—a wonderful feature that added extra charm. Breakfast was served buffet-style and felt luxurious; I especially enjoyed the porridge and Kanazawa curry—they were delicious! The shuttle service between the station and hotel ran frequently, which made transportation easy. All staff members—from front desk personnel to shuttle drivers to housekeeping staff—were friendly, professional, and welcoming with their smiles. Their hospitality truly warmed my heart. I’m so glad I chose this hotel for my stay—it exceeded expectations in every way! When I visit Kanazawa again in the future, this will definitely be my accommodation of choice at such an outstanding hotel!

    A clean, simple style.

    It was quiet because it’s a little away from the city center. After check-in, the staff were pleasantly unobtrusive—available when needed but not intrusive—so I could relax and enjoy my stay. When I visit Kanazawa again, I’d like to stay here again. I really liked it.

    It was a wonderful experience. Thank you very much. The shuttle service driver was polite, and I was delighted to be greeted at the hotel entrance. The room was clean, and both the bathroom and dressing area were tidy and comfortable. The complimentary ice cream after bathing was also a nice touch. Although it was April, the day we stayed was windy, rainy, and cold. Unfortunately, the air conditioning's heating function wasn't available initially, but the front desk staff kindly enabled it for us upon request. Since it's centrally controlled, it would be great if adjustments could be made based on daily temperatures. Breakfast was delicious; the omelet was outstanding! I look forward to staying here again during my next trip to Kanazawa!

    I would like to stay at this Hotel again.

    As soon as I entered the Hotel, I was soothed by the organic fragrance. The attention to detail was impressive, and I truly enjoyed my stay. The amenities were well-curated and abundant. I was delighted to find a bathhouse available. The shuttle bus service to Kanazawa Station was very convenient and much appreciated. The staff were attentive, observant, and thoughtful in their interactions with guests. Breakfast was exceptionally delicious. When leaving the Room, I took a photo of the delicately displayed origami crane as a keepsake of this memorable Hotel experience. Thank you very much!

    Birthday gift for my son and his wife

    I gifted a stay at this hotel to celebrate an important anniversary for the two of them. When they entered the room, they were surprised to find a congratulatory message and a gift prepared for them. I even received a message from my daughter-in-law saying the breakfast was absolutely wonderful. In February, my spouse and I stayed here and were highly satisfied, so despite it being far away in Kanazawa, we decided to gift this experience to our son and his wife.
