    Good Hotel

    I chose the one-night stay with two meals, and the food was excellent. The dried fish for breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the large public bath provided a perfect way to relax.

    It was a lovely Hotel with a clean and fresh atmosphere.

    We stayed here for a family trip. The staff were very kind and attentive, even to our elementary school-aged child. Their hospitality was excellent and made us feel very comfortable. The Room and the public bath were exceptionally clean, providing a sense of cleanliness and security. The breakfast featured Kyoto-style dishes and was incredibly delicious. We would love to stay here again!

    Repeat booking: Done.

    I stayed for the first time as there was a great plan on IKYU. I was worried about the lack of parking at the hotel, but there was a 24-hour flat-rate parking lot right in front. The hotel is small and cozy, with a great location, making my stay comfortable. There are many small restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was delicious as well. The staff's service was excellent, and I’ve decided to return. Although I was provided with a spacious room, there wasn’t any storage space, so I’ll need to think of some solutions for my next stay.

    Thank you for your patronage.

    I stayed for one night. The service at the front desk was excellent. Although check-in was at 3:00 PM, I arrived at the front desk at 1:00 PM and was informed that the Room would be ready shortly, allowing me to check in early. The Room was reasonably spacious, providing a comfortable stay. It would have been better if the coffee service at the front desk had been more extensive. Thank you very much!

    The service and room...

    The service and rooms were excellent. The bed was clean and very comfortable. Staff provided kind guidance when I needed help and greeted me warmly. However, the next morning at breakfast, people who arrived after me were seated first. When I was finally seated, there were food crumbs left on the table, which was very unpleasant. The dishes served were disappointing; for example, the mentaiko still had its skin on with black threads attached, making it unappetizing. The shrimp was soggy and inedible as well. I had been looking forward to breakfast so much, but it turned out to be a terrible experience...

    Due to the influence of Japan-China relations, accommodation prices have become more affordable, as mentioned on TV. I searched for a place with breakfast included for a trip to see autumn leaves. It was inexpensive, conveniently located, had many delicious restaurants nearby, and the breakfast was excellent. The staff provided polite and attentive service. I found no faults and would rate it 5 out of 5. My wife felt uncomfortable due to the behavior of some guests in the public bath, but I don't think that's the hotel's fault.

    This type of Hotel unusually features a large public bath, providing a very comfortable bathing experience. The Facility was well-maintained, as expected from the Mitsui group. However, the limited space in the breakfast area, menu seemingly tailored for inbound guests, and staff shortages were noticeable. With further improvements, there is great potential for growth. We look forward to your future development!

    Relaxing Accommodation

    We were able to check into the Room early as it was ready. The checkout time was 12:00, allowing us to relax and enjoy our stay. Since our trip was centered around visiting a bakery, the location and atmosphere were perfect, making it a satisfying journey. Additionally, the service of delivering luggage to a Hotel near Kyoto Station for 500 yen per item was very convenient. We would love to use this service again!

    The meals are not very satisfying.

    The Hotel is well-made, but if I had to point out a downside, the meals were not very impressive. For breakfast, a buffet style would be better for this type of Hotel. You choose a main dish, but there was nothing I wanted to select. The menu seemed entirely tailored for tourists from China. It was disappointing.

    It was excellent!

    Convenient access to taxis in the city, and all the staff were kind and cheerful, making our stay very pleasant! We stayed for 3 nights, and the Room cleaning was thorough and satisfactory. The breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious and hygienic options. One minor point is that the pajamas were one-size-fits-all, so the V-neck felt a bit too open, which made me slightly nervous when returning from the public bath via elevator. The souvenirs were excellent as well! However, there was something I wanted to drink on the first day but missed out on—next time I'll make sure to go on the first day! I will definitely stay here again! It became a wonderful trip with my daughter. Thank you so much!!

    The large public bath features a carbonated spring.

    A very nice Machiya Hotel with a large public bath featuring carbonated hot springs. Conveniently located near subway stations and bus stops, making it easy for sightseeing. There are also restaurants nearby, offering a good Machiya atmosphere and relatively affordable options.

    A Hotel with Outstanding Service

    It was a clean Hotel with excellent service. They offered various activities and services, such as a quiz rally and gift vouchers, which made our stay enjoyable. You can also check how crowded the large public bath is on the TV, so we were able to use it when it was less busy, and the carbonated bath was very relaxing. Everything at breakfast was delicious, and we were able to enjoy it at a leisurely pace. We also appreciated the 12:00 checkout time.

    The bathroom is disappointing.

    In the public bath, some international travelers entered the bathtub without washing their bodies. Thinking about how it might be during Kyoto's peak season in autumn... The breakfast was a buffet, but it didn't have much of a Kyoto feel to it. The staff's service was satisfactory. There was also a paid service to send luggage to an affiliated Hotel near Kyoto Station, which was convenient.

    I stayed for 3 night...

    I stayed for 3 nights and 4 days this time. Once again, I had a comfortable stay thanks to the thoughtful and wonderful hospitality. During a Multiple Night Stay, I usually arrange my belongings (such as documents or books) in my preferred spots, and after cleaning the next day, they remain in those positions—this level of consideration is common among many Hotels. However, what stood out was how towels were arranged according to my preferences. I truly appreciate the keen observation and flexible response that acknowledged my intentions. Such detailed care doubles the joy of a Multiple Night Stay. My gratitude goes out to all the unseen staff members as well. Thank you very much!

    Completely satisfied with everything!

    My mother and her friend decided to take a trip to Kyoto as birthday gifts for each other and stayed at this accommodation. According to them, everything was excellent. They chose a plan that included both breakfast and dinner. For dinner, there were many varieties of dishes, all very delicious and generously portioned. My mother managed to finish everything, but her friend couldn't eat it all due to the large portions. Breakfast allowed them to choose a main dish while the rest was served buffet-style, which they also found very tasty. Beyond the meals, they were deeply impressed by the staff's hospitality. Both being elderly, they appreciated how clearly and kindly everything was explained to them and expressed their gratitude for such thoughtful service. When I asked about their experience afterward, they had no negative comments at all. As the one who made the reservation on their behalf, I had mentioned in my booking comment that it was for a birthday celebration. I thought there might be some kind of surprise service provided for this occasion; however, it seems there wasn’t any special gesture in that regard. As someone who recommended this hotel and made the reservation myself, I did feel it would have been nice if some surprise service had been offered. Overall though, both of them were extremely satisfied with their stay. Thank you so much to all staff members for providing such wonderful services during their visit. I now feel like staying here myself someday!

    Warm and welcoming atmosphere

    The front desk staff kindly recommended a nearby café, but it seemed to be closed. They went out of their way to catch up with me and introduced another café. It was a young gentleman, and I was deeply impressed by his kindness. The toilet and bath were separate, which was great. Breakfast was very delicious with a gentle flavor, leaving me completely satisfied. I visit Kyoto every year during this season, and from now on, I will make this my regular accommodation. I had an amazing experience at Mitsui Garden in Toyosu as well, so I look forward to staying at their accommodations across the whole country in the future. Thank you very much! Although that gentleman wasn’t present when I departed, if possible, I would appreciate it if you could convey my gratitude through this message space.

    Midweek of Golden Week

    The Room was ready upon check-in, and the staff kindly allowed us to enter early, which was very thoughtful! The Room, a standard twin, was more spacious than expected, clean, and comfortable. The large public bath on the first floor was also clean, and we enjoyed it twice in the morning and evening. Shinmachi Street was pleasant for a walk and conveniently close to Nijo Castle. This is a Hotel I would love to visit again.

    Considering the pric...

    Considering the price, I didn't have high expectations, but the system was similar to a Business Hotel. The front desk staff had excellent manners, and while costs were kept low, it was covered with a touch of urban sophistication. The large public bath was not crowded and very relaxing. However, what stood out the most was the breakfast buffet—it alone made me want to return. There are also casual izakayas nearby that are easy to enter. When I'm not staying at a luxury Ryokan, I would like to come back here again and perhaps upgrade my Room slightly next time.

    A wonderful Hotel where you can escape the hustle and bustle and refresh.

    This was my first time staying here for a business trip, and I was very satisfied. Located on a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle of the main road, it made me forget I was on a work trip. The bath was refreshing and enjoyable. I also appreciated being able to choose the main dish for breakfast. I would love to stay here again!

    Breakfast was disappointing.

    This was my first stay. The location, room, and bath were excellent. However, one disappointing aspect was the breakfast at the restaurant. It was a half-buffet where you choose one main dish from four options, but none of the main dishes stood out and lacked a sense of Kyoto's uniqueness. The buffet-style side dishes were also quite cheap-looking and not very appetizing. Additionally, the staff serving seemed to be part-time workers as they wandered around aimlessly near the tables, which I found quite bothersome.

    The staff promptly arranged a taxi for us, which was very helpful. The breakfast was excellent and offered a wide variety of options. Its close proximity to Minami-za makes it a convenient choice, and I would love to stay here again when attending performances.

    I always have a relaxing stay here. Thank you, and I’m looking forward to my next visit. The front desk staff is very considerate (such as offering an umbrella before it rains or handling luggage with care), and these small gestures are truly appreciated. The idea of choosing the main dish for breakfast is wonderful, but I gave it a 4 because I feel there could be a bit more creativity in combinations (like sea bream rice porridge with shrimp tempura).

    We were initially assigned a Room on the 5th floor, but upon asking if it was the floor with the ice machine, we were promptly moved to the 4th floor. We always enjoy dinner at Sanga Ono and find the quality to be exceptionally high. However, there seem to be fewer guests during dinner hours. With more promotion, I believe you could significantly increase customer numbers.

    Mitsui is indeed excellent.

    I had always wanted to stay at this Hotel since its opening, and finally, the opportunity came. It is a moderately sized Hotel, and most of the guests were foreigners, but it was not overly noisy, and I was able to enjoy the large public bath comfortably. In the morning, I went out for breakfast at a café near Nishiki Market, and while walking, I enjoyed the pleasant aroma of morning preparations and the beautiful streets of Kyoto. Above all, I think the staff at the Hotels in the Mitsui group are excellent. During the busy seasons in Kyoto, it has become challenging for Japanese people to find accommodations at Hotels, but I am glad I stayed here. Thank you for your hospitality.

    The Room was a bit small. I enjoyed a relaxing bath in the large public bath. Above all, the breakfast was excellent. I could choose the main dish and enjoy various dishes in a buffet style. When I asked for a taxi on my way back, I was pleasantly sent off outside the entrance.
