    Is this supposed to be a luxury Hotel?

    The location is excellent, as it is directly connected to Tennoji Station. The view is also open and beautiful since there are no tall buildings nearby. The front desk and lobby also feel refined, as the Hotel is only a little over 10 years old. However, the Room itself is a serious problem. First of all, the TV is far too old. How long are you going to keep using a TV that can’t even run apps from 12 years ago? Even if I wanted to use a Fire TV Stick, the TV was completely fixed in place so I couldn’t connect it. If you call yourselves a luxury Hotel, please replace it once it’s fully depreciated. I stayed in a Room with a view bath, but when I got out and used the bath towel, it smelled terrible. This is unacceptable. The air conditioning was also an issue: when I raised the temperature, there was an intense sweaty—meaning moldy—odor. It was bad enough that I had to set it around 20°C and wrap myself in the duvet. On top of that, when I mentioned these issues to the staff member handling checkout at the end, they brushed me off with something like “Sorry—we’ll pass it along.” That was honestly the biggest problem. You shouldn’t have someone like that at checkout. Breakfast was the only saving grace: perhaps a female trainee? She worked extremely hard and left a very positive impression. In any case, I will never stay here again. If you’re considering this property at this price point, I recommend choosing The St. Regis Osaka, InterContinental Osaka, or Four Seasons Hotel instead. If you can stretch your budget slightly more, Conrad Osaka or Waldorf Astoria Osaka are recommended.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    We stayed on the club floor for two nights. The club lounge was spacious, with a wide variety of drinks and food, and everything felt high quality. (I love fruit, so I was especially happy that there was plenty of it.) Even over two nights, the menu changed, which we really appreciated. Compared with club lounges at other hotels, our overall satisfaction was very high. As it was the Obon holiday period, there were many families with children. However, children were only allowed to use the lounge until early evening and this rule was properly observed, so we were able to spend the later evening hours in a quiet atmosphere. Due to Obon, there was a time limit during cocktail hour; next time we would like to visit when there is no time restriction and relax longer. All staff members were polite and pleasant. Thank you very much.

    A Hotel You'll Want to Visit Again

    Because it was the Obon holiday, the lounge was crowded, and it stated that use would be limited to about 60 minutes. This happens at other Hotels as well. Some Hotels even come over to tell you when your time is up, but that did not happen here. Most guests seemed to understand when their time was nearly up and left on their own. I really appreciated being able to spend time comfortably without being warned or pressured.

    This is the only place I’ll stay!

    Whenever I visit Osaka, I always stay here. The meals (especially breakfast) are outstanding. The amenities are great as well, and the staff’s attentiveness and courteous service are truly excellent. I will definitely stay here again next time!

    Club Floor

    I visited because I heard the club lounge had been renovated, and it was very comfortable. I checked in after having lunch at ZK, so it was a bit early, but they kindly let me into my Room. The check-in procedure at the 19th-floor counter was smooth and not crowded, so it was stress-free. At checkout, while I was waiting in line, a foreign guest stepped up to the counter from the side and I felt a bit confused. A concierge who happened to be nearby immediately handled my checkout at the next booth. I was impressed by their quick attentiveness. Not only the facilities but also the service were excellent, and I had a very pleasant stay.

    Definitely coming back!

    I’ve stayed at many Hotels, but this was the best one ever! The staff’s service was excellent, and I only used the breakfast buffet, but there was a great variety and everything was delicious. Not a single complaint! I definitely want to stay here again the next time I visit Osaka!

    This was my third st...

    This was my third stay. My first impression was: breathtaking views, and service that felt about average. The view is so amazing that I came back for a second stay. At the front desk, there was a woman who seemed to be training someone, and it felt like things had improved. For my third stay, I came with my mother. I wanted to show her the spectacular view—like living at an observation deck—and she was truly delighted. At the front desk, a male staff member guided us efficiently, which made us feel at ease. The location is convenient, and even one night is enough to feel refreshed. We used the club lounge. They cleared empty dishes right away, so we could enjoy our meal comfortably. I also appreciated the Osaka sweets provided in the Room.

    Amazing views from the upper floors.

    We stayed on the 42nd floor this time. Check-in was on the 19th floor, and it took us a while to find our way there—we got lost several times. However, there was a direct elevator down to the basement level of Kintetsu Department Store, which made it very convenient for buying souvenirs. Breakfast also offered a wide variety of options, and we were satisfied.

    The Facility was great.

    The location, Facility, and cleanliness of the Room were all excellent. When I tried to use my Diamond member drink ticket in the lounge, I mistakenly thought I had left it in my Room (though I actually had it) and was searching for it at the entrance. A female staff member quickly and matter-of-factly told me, “Please go back to your Room to get it. However, by the time you return, I think we’ll already be closed.” I was stunned—was this really a five-star Hotel? Well, rules are rules. These days, perhaps guiding guests is sometimes considered necessary rather than focusing on service. At the very least, I wish she had said something like, “Please note that if you return late, we may not be able to admit you.” The front desk staff were very pleasant.

    Breathtaking Views

    I stayed here with an acquaintance visiting from China. They were thrilled by the beautiful views and said they wanted to stay again even before check-in (lol). It was a great change of pace, and I personally enjoyed it too.

    All the staff were kind, and with checkout at 12:00, our stay was comfortable. However, the Room air conditioning wasn’t very effective, and it was disappointing to see black mold? dust? around the air vent from the bed.

    Truly a sky-high Hotel

    I love high-rise views, so I sometimes stay at high-rise Hotels. This one was perfect for enjoying the Hotel experience. The 55th floor where I stayed felt like an observation deck, and I truly enjoyed the view morning and night. These days, many Hotels have seen a decline in the quality of food on club floors, but I was able to enjoy it here. It would be even better if there were more opportunities to enjoy the outside scenery. I would definitely like to stay again.

    We enjoyed the unique atmosphere.

    We requested a high-floor room, and the view was outstanding. It happened to be a day with fireworks, so we were able to watch them launched below. With IKYU perks, we enjoyed a drink at the bar while listening to music, which was wonderful. We were able to enjoy a relaxing Hotel stay. Thank you very much.

    Check-in and check-out are…

    I’m truly satisfied. It’s rare for a complainer like me to feel it was almost perfect. But check-in and check-out? This is not acceptable!! On the 2:00 PM check-in plan, I got in line at 2:10 PM and didn’t get into my Room until just before 3:00 PM. Each guest takes far too long to process. The Club Floor used to have its own check-in/check-out on the 38th floor, but that system is gone and you’re forced to stand in line… Waiting in line is one thing, but why is the processing so slow? Only three counters is also an issue. (There was a table next to them, though.) They disappear into the back “to process something,” come back out, then do something else again. And when it was finally my turn, they suddenly asked for a deposit. If I’ve already paid via IKYU, isn’t that unnecessary? Also, being told to pay the Accommodation Tax at check-out—just let me pay it now!!! Then at check-out I had to line up because the Accommodation Tax hadn’t been paid. How long are you going to make people wait!! If you’re going to make guests line up over 1,000 yen, please just let us pay it!!! Why did I have to wait more than 15 minutes even though I was first in line?

    The night view was beautiful.

    The views were wonderful, and the staff were amazing as well. When I gave my Room number in the lounge, I was surprised they even remembered my name. It was the female staff member who checked me in. I was amazed she remembered me among so many guests. Everyone was truly excellent. This Hotel is now one of the places I’d like to stay at again.

    A small oversight

    1) It would be helpful to have a bath mat for drying your feet when you step out of the bathroom. 2) The TV remote control batteries are running low.

    Wonderful

    It was an oasis in the city. We stayed in a Room with lounge access, and my son and his wife were with us; they said both the lounge and the Room were excellent. We would definitely like to stay again.

    The staff are very kind!

    We planned to visit the observation deck and called the front desk a little after 6:00 to check how crowded it was, as the reception hours had already ended. A staff member kindly went to the observation deck to confirm for us and told us the wait time was about five minutes, so we headed there right away. It was a great help. All of the staff were friendly, and we had a very comfortable stay. Thank you very much.

    Everything is excellent.

    It was such a comfortable stay that I can’t think of a single complaint, even if asked to name one. We’ll definitely come again next time with the whole family.

    I stay here often, but I’m not good at handling problems.

    During my recent stay, my car battery died and I was in trouble, but the Hotel flatly refused to help at all. Also, during my stay I asked the concierge to make a Reservation for the tea lounge. However, when I went down to the tea lounge, they told me there was no Reservation. I contacted the concierge again, but they said they didn’t know what had been reserved. It made me want to ask if this is really a third-rate Hotel. Fortunately, the tea lounge staff were considerate and accommodated me. There were also an excessive number of staff at the front desk, and I couldn’t understand what they were doing. If this were an inexpensive Hotel it might be understandable, but for a Marriott-level property I expect better service.

    You can relax and unwind.

    This was our second stay, and it was just as comfortable as last time. The view from the Room was wonderful, and the Room layout was slightly different from when I stayed with my daughter before, which felt fresh and made it easy to relax. It’s a shame I always forget to take photos and can’t share them. Harukas was also amazing, and my husband especially enjoyed being able to savor the afterglow of the night view from the observatory while relaxing in the Room with a cup of coffee. The light snacks in the lounge and breakfast were delicious as well—we were satisfied with everything. Thank you very much.

    A bit disappointing...

    This is my favorite Hotel in Osaka. I’ve stayed here twice with my husband, once with my daughter, and about four times on solo trips. The night view is wonderful, and because it’s on a high floor, I can relax without worrying about being seen. It’s also convenient to shop at the department store downstairs, and it’s close to the nearest station—so it has everything I look for. However, the TV doesn’t support streaming services like Netflix. One disappointing moment this time was at checkout: even though a female staff member was at the front desk counter, she kept writing something and ignored me, then walked away. Shouldn’t guests waiting right in front of you be prioritized? Thankfully, a bell staff member noticed and helped by taking my key card (I had already paid in advance), which really saved me because my reserved limited express train was about to depart.

    This was my first stay. The view from the high floor, the Room, the meals, and the service were all excellent. This is a Hotel I would definitely like to visit again.

    The view is stunning no matter how many times you visit.

    I stay here a few times a year. This time, I also dined at ZK. ZK offers great food and stunning views, and I’m impressed every time I visit. As for the Room, I love not only the view but also the spacious bathtub and the separate two-piece pajamas. I will be back again. Thank you very much for this stay.

    The view from the Hotel is breathtaking.

    Since our Room was on the 51st floor, we enjoyed a powerful view you can’t experience at a low-rise Hotel. The weather wasn’t perfect, but it was still great. The amenities were all presented in nice boxes, and there were even bath salts provided, so I could relax in the bath and unwind. It would have been even better if there had been a shower cap. Also, the bathroom floor felt a bit slippery, so I think older guests should be especially careful. The Room TV had Amazon Prime Video, U-NEXT, and Netflix built in, so we could enjoy our usual subscription shows. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet. I was surprised that you could customize your omelet—adding cheese or vegetables and so on. It was also memorable that they had takoyaki (maybe for international guests?).

    I’d been wanting to ...

    I’d been wanting to stay here for a long time, but I always ended up choosing somewhere around Umeda, so I never had the chance—until now. I didn’t realize it was such a comfortable Hotel. I only wish I’d come sooner. The view was wonderful, and the Room was compact yet very comfortable thanks to the practical furniture layout. The café lounge on the lobby floor with its high ceiling was also cozy, and I enjoyed tea there with a sense of excitement. On top of that, the staff’s hospitality was outstanding everywhere—kind, polished in both speech and manner—which made for a truly relaxing stay. I booked a Plan with access to the club lounge, and I was very satisfied: there was a wide variety of light snacks, all delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Club lounges are often crowded and not very relaxing, but this one is spacious with plenty of distance between seats, which was great. The cake shop also had savarin—a happy find for someone who loves savarin. I enjoyed my stay so much that I ended up joining Miyako Hotel’s membership program.

    Highly recommended.

    We chose this Hotel to fully enjoy Abeno Harukas for the first time at my daughter’s request. I was a bit anxious about finding my way to the front desk, but the staff were very kind and made us feel at ease. Since the upper floors were being renovated, we made a Reservation on a regular floor, but the Room was spacious, with a wonderful view from the large windows. The bathroom also had a separate washing area and was conveniently divided by a door, making it easy to use. The Hotel’s loan items were well stocked and very helpful. We also used the lounge; although the outside view wasn’t as open as we expected, it had such a great atmosphere that it hardly felt like we were on the 38th floor, and it was very comfortable. There was also an excellent variety of food during cocktail time, and after we both enjoyed it thoroughly, we re-entered the observatory using our Harukas one-day pass—seeing a completely different mood and scenery from daytime was truly breathtaking. I’m really glad we chose Marriott. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    It became a wonderful memory.

    I was disappointed last time, but this time you read my comments and made things so much better. (It really had improved.) This time I stayed in a Corner Twin Room. (Last time, I stayed in a Deluxe Twin Room with club lounge access.) The Corner Twin Room had a wonderful night view, felt very open, and was spacious. You also beautifully arranged the Room to match our anniversary. I’m extremely satisfied! Thank you to all the staff in charge of Accommodation! It became a wonderful memory. If you’re staying here, I highly recommend the Corner Twin Room! It was so good that I went ahead and made another Reservation. In August it will be my husband’s birthday, and we’d like to stay in one of the renovated Rooms. Since I’m a Miyako Hotel member, I can stay in a renovated Room with club lounge access at nearly half price (floors 51–53). If you live in the Kinki region, I recommend becoming a Miyako Hotel member and making your Reservation through the official website (valid for stays from Sunday to Friday until August 31; I don’t think this price comes up often). This offer is limited to residents of the Kinki region. We’re looking forward to visiting again in August. Thank you again.

    Explanation of the key card...

    At check-in, there was no explanation that there are two different key cards: one for the Room and one for the club lounge. After visiting the lounge, I got into the elevator. Thinking I was using my Room key card, I tapped it but couldn’t even access my floor, and I had to go back to the front desk without knowing why. When I was standing around in front of the elevator, a staff member spoke to me, but even after I explained the situation, they did not help.
