    First stay since it became a Marriott

    It’s a very convenient location, close to Kobe Station and within walking distance of Mosaic and other attractions. I have stayed here every year since it was Crown Palace. In the past, the in-room facilities felt a bit outdated, and I was especially concerned about the plumbing. This time, with the change in management, the facilities have been renewed and I was able to stay comfortably. I usually choose a Plan that includes breakfast, but this time I also had dinner once at the on-site restaurant. Since it has only been about six months since the management change, they seemed short-staffed, and the service felt somewhat lacking. We had dinner as a group of 10, but they said they couldn’t prepare course menus for everyone, so we ordered à la carte instead. The food was very delicious. Breakfast on both mornings was a buffet at the same restaurant, but I felt the selection was slightly limited. The omelet made by the chef was excellent. I would like to stay again next time as well, so I hope to see further improvements going forward.

    Around Kobe Station

    The Room was compact, but we enjoyed the club lounge. The lounge wasn’t very large, but it offered a great selection of drinks and light snacks. Many of the staff were from overseas and were very kind. Breakfast was also delicious. THE CLUB & SPA was pleasantly quiet, but it would be even better if it were available in the morning as well. Next time, I hope I can use THE CLUB & SPA in the morning too.

    Great location.

    It’s conveniently located just a short walk from the station, and being able to leave our luggage before check-in made getting around much easier. Because we used the breakfast buffet at a later time, items like milk and strawberries ran out even though it was still within service hours, which was very disappointing.

    A super convenient Hotel directly connected to the station.

    The Accommodation was reasonably priced, and all the staff provided pleasant service. In particular, the female staff member at the spa who seemed to be in her 40s or 50s was exceptionally courteous and wonderful. When I visit Kobe, I would like to stay here again.

    A Hotel with Staff You’ll Want to Visit Again

    At check-in, I was told that the public bath could only be used once, and the safe in the Room wouldn't close, which dampened my mood. However, the response afterward was swift. Additionally, when I went to the public bath, I was comforted by a kind and attentive receptionist. Having visited numerous Hotels, this felt like the best hospitality I've ever experienced. Furthermore, during the breakfast buffet, I was impressed by a staff member making omelets who remained kind and attentive despite being busy and even remembered guests' faces while serving them. For me, this has become a "Hotel with staff worth visiting again." However, my one dissatisfaction is that it wasn't possible to use the public bath on the following morning.

    It was comfortable.

    The bathroom with a washing area, the variety of amenities, and the clean and tidy room were all very satisfying, making for a comfortable stay. If I may suggest, the volume of the hallway BGM could be slightly lower. I would like to stay here again when visiting Kobe.

    It has become very beautiful, but...

    The Room has been renovated and looks beautiful, making the stay very pleasant. However, is the design of the bathroom door correct? If not a sliding door, opening inward might pose a risk of hitting someone using the toilet or washing hands inside. The service, cleanliness, and amenities are all excellent, and despite the renovation, there hasn’t been much price increase—this is wonderful! But it’s unfortunate that only the inward-opening bathroom door remains an issue. Oh, and the shower pressure has improved too—it’s very comfortable!

    Great value for money, with excellent food and service at the top-floor restaurant.

    Directly connected to JR Kobe Station via an underground passage, just a few minutes' walk away, offering excellent accessibility. While the building is older, it is well-maintained with clean accommodations and spacious rooms at great value. Enjoy breakfast and dinner at the top-floor restaurant. Dinner is à la carte; follow the waitress's recommendations for selections. Every dish was delicious with excellent presentation and reasonably priced. Overall, very satisfying. The only downside was the inability to adjust the air conditioning temperature, but using the bed cover ensured a comfortable night's sleep. I plan to make this my regular accommodation in Kobe.

    If No Meals Included

    Considering the location and price, it's acceptable, but the age of the Facility cannot be overlooked. Having a coin laundry would be helpful. Also, it was disappointing that there were few power outlets.

    Delicious

    The twin room had semi-double beds, providing a spacious area where Child Sharing Existing Bedding could be done comfortably. The breakfast was delicious and satisfying. There was parking available, and the access to Harborland was convenient, making shopping and enjoying the stay easy.

    Great value

    I initially reserved a smoking room as it was the only option available, but I mentioned in my request that I preferred a non-smoking room. Fortunately, they informed me that a non-smoking room became available and accommodated my request, which I greatly appreciated. The room itself seemed slightly outdated, with minor issues like water dripping from the faucet even when closed and noticeable stains on the carpet, but these were not significant concerns for me. It was great to stay at an affordable rate with a buffet breakfast included. The spa facilities, including the large public bath and jacuzzi sauna (available for an additional fee), were excellent. Especially on weekdays when prices are lower, I highly recommend using them during your stay.

    Hotel Crown Palais Kobe

    Check-in was quite late after work. The Room felt a bit old, but it was clean, so I had no complaints. The water facilities showed some signs of aging, but it seemed acceptable. When leaving, I left my luggage at the front desk, but there was a long line of people checking in, making it seem like retrieving my luggage would take a lot of time. Since I had a flight to catch, I spoke up and they assisted me quickly; however, I think some improvements could be made. For a stay costing around 7,000 yen, it's acceptable overall but not the quality that would make it my first choice for either service or facilities.

    Excellent!!

    The location is excellent, directly connected to Kobe Station and Harborland, and within walking distance to Motomachi and Sannomiya. We stayed for two nights after visiting Awaji Island by car, and the accommodation provided parking for just 1,000 yen per day. It was very convenient that we could extend parking after check-out for the same price of 1,000 yen. Although the water-related facilities were a bit dated, everything was thoroughly cleaned and comfortable. The breakfast was also fantastic. It had been a while since our last trip to Kobe, but we’ve become fans of the city again and would love to stay at Hotel Crown Palais Kobe in the future. Thank you so much!

    The Room was cold.

    I use this hotel for a Multiple Night Stay every year during this season to visit the graves. In the past, there have been minor issues such as no hot water in the bath or toilet overflow due to drainage problems. Since it is an old building, I understand these things happen, and they have always addressed them properly each time. This time, due to unstable outdoor temperatures, the air conditioning was turned off, and the Room was cold on the first night. When I informed the front desk about it the next day, they provided a heater which made it slightly better. I had included a request message when making my Reservation in advance but did not receive any response until my arrival, which made me a bit anxious. However, it seems that my request was acknowledged. In the past, I always received a reply to such messages; I would appreciate if this could continue in future Reservations as well. I chose a breakfast buffet plan but found the menu slightly lacking. Considering pricing factors, I understand; however, enhancing egg dishes would be appreciated. The night view from my Room remains as beautiful as ever.

    I would like to use it again.

    Located in front of Kobe Station, making it very convenient for travel. For this price near the station, it's perfect. As mentioned in reviews, there were no amenities like lotion for women, and the large public bath required an additional fee. However, I brought my own lotion and cream, and since my partner dislikes public baths, we saved 800 yen by not using it. The bathroom in the room was luxurious with marble design, and the spacious room was clean with a great view—making our stay very pleasant. The women's large public bath is long and narrow like two lanes of a 25-meter pool; I had it all to myself but felt a bit lonely. There were blinds on the big windows with a note saying "Opening them makes you visible from outside." Since I was alone, I opened them just slightly to enjoy views of Mount Rokko and the moon while warming up (of course, I closed them afterward). You don't need to bring towels from your room; you can rent large and small towels at reception by paying cash or charging it to your room bill. The sink area after bathing had makeup remover as well as lotion and cream available for use. They also provided re-entry tickets. If I visit Kobe again, I'd love to stay here!

    Best value for money

    The location is excellent, allowing access from JR Kobe Station without getting wet in the rain. It was convenient to enter the room directly via an elevator from the underground. The room, being a base grade, was average with no major pros or cons. However, the carpet stains were noticeable. The additional fee spa had an amazing sauna. Offering the artificial onsen to all guests could enhance its value. Overall, it was a cost-effective hotel.

    Support for Senior Guests

    Last year, I embarked on my first solo trip as a senior citizen. Feeling a bit lonely since my friends no longer joined me on trips, I was deeply touched by the kindness of the staff during breakfast. When I tried to place salad on my plate, a staff member immediately assisted me, which was incredibly helpful. I expressed my gratitude to him directly, but his thoughtful gesture truly stood out—this is the essence of Japanese hospitality. Having visited many Hotels both domestically and internationally since my youth, such genuine care has become rare these days. I look forward to seeing his continued success. The breakfast dishes also conveyed the heartfelt effort of their creators rather than focusing solely on quantity.

    The flexibility to extend the accommodation period at the last minute, store luggage, and handle even privacy-related matters with exceptional care was truly impressive. To anyone reading this, I want to say that this hotel is outstanding. The staff's adaptability and high level of experience were a great learning experience for me. Although my stay was primarily for business purposes this time, whether my destination is Nishinomiya, Sannomiya, or Himeji, I will always choose to stay here (especially since the express train stops nearby, making it convenient to go anywhere). I travel across the whole country for work trips, but in this region, this hotel is my only choice. If you prioritize new facilities or fully equipped amenities above all else, you might find some dissatisfaction. However, more than those aspects, their personalized and flexible service tailored to each guest's needs was incredibly comfortable and even contributed positively to my performance at work the next day. Thank you very much. I will definitely choose this place again. Looking forward to staying here next time!

    Bathroom drainage

    The bath and toilet were in the same place, and when I filled the bathtub with water and then pulled out the drain cap upon leaving, it seemed like a lot of hair was clogged. The area under the toilet and my feet became flooded, causing the bath mat and slippers to float around, which was a terrible experience. In any case, there was dirty water at my feet! It wasn't hygienic and felt unpleasant. I contacted the front desk, who helped with removing hair and wiping the floor. However, since it was a rather expensive room, I thought they could have offered some discount for this trouble.

    Even if you pay 800 yen, the large public bath is recommended. The Room's bath has old tiles and doesn't really make you want to enter, but the women's large public bath has a 100m long bathtub that is spacious and beautifully decorated, and it was extremely pleasant to have it all to myself at certain times. The Room was relatively spacious with a large mirror and bright lighting, making it easy to work. Breakfast had variety but the taste was average. The floor leading to the breakfast venue and the wall decorations inside were lovely. I was satisfied because I could take my time due to the late checkout.

    Direct underground a...

    Direct underground access to the station is very convenient. It was disappointing that breakfast was moved to the banquet hall as the top-floor restaurant was under renovation. I used the spa, and it was spacious, clean, and pleasant. The Room was clean, but I think it might be time for a renovation.

    Good access.

    A long-awaited trip to Kobe. The primary purpose was to visit the Luminarie, so the convenient access was great. Strolling around Motomachi and Nankinmachi was also enjoyable. Above all, I was delighted to be able to use the spa! After an evening walk, it was wonderful to warm up. Being directly connected to Kobe Station made it easy to plan the checkout time. I will definitely use this place again.

    This is my second st...

    This is my second stay. It is conveniently located just a short walk from Kobe Station. Additionally, tourist spots like Meriken Park are easily accessible within a 15-minute walk from this Hotel. During my first stay, I chose the sea-facing side, and this time I tried the mountain-facing side, but I would recommend the sea-facing side. At night, I had dinner at the Chinatown in Motomachi, took a leisurely stroll through the shopping street, and returned to the Hotel in about 15 minutes.

    I used a date-limited Plan. We stayed in a triple Room with friends and bought dinner to enjoy in the Room. There was something we wanted to heat in the microwave, and when we asked the front desk, they kindly obliged. Thank you very much. Breakfast was included for free, which was a great deal. Next time, I would like to visit the spa.

    It is always a reliable Hotel.

    This Hotel is an old building, but it is well-cleaned and you can stay with peace of mind. First of all, the staff are really kind, and I don't want to stay anywhere else in Kobe. Those who like new Hotels might think it's a bit different, but as you get older, a "Hotel where you feel kindness" is the best. There is no body towel in the amenities, so I always bring one that I used at another Hotel. There were children's toothbrushes at the front desk. I'm sure those with children will be happy too.
