    Thank you for hosting us again after a long time.

    I first stayed here over 15 years ago and had been hoping to return, so I was very happy to be able to visit again. I was glad that both the high-quality Onsen and the delicious meals were just as wonderful as I remembered. The Room also had everything we needed—a semi-open-air bath with a washing area, a sofa, a bed, and underfloor heating—so we could truly relax. Thank you as well for being so considerate after we rolled a 1 on the dice. One disappointing point was that our dining area was at counter seating (the seats overlooked the garden and were nicely partitioned with noren curtains into semi-private spaces), but due to the location, we could clearly hear voices from what seemed like the kitchen or service area. At dinner, there were calls for drink orders and instructions about dishes, which felt like normal lively chatter and didn’t bother me much. However, at breakfast we could hear what sounded like an argument between staff members, which really shocked me. An older female staff member was telling a younger woman that there were too few employees for the number of guests with Reservations, and her tone felt clearly harassing. I heard remarks such as “If you can do it then you should do it yourselves,” and “Do you think you can get it done while sitting around dawdling?”—it was painful to listen to. The staff member being spoken to couldn’t talk back, and I felt sorry for her. It put me in a bad mood from the morning. Even if her point was valid, there is still an appropriate way to speak. I still vividly remember the attendant who served our meals 15 years ago—she mentioned she had come to help from an affiliated Ryokan in Wakura—and she left such a strong impression as someone truly wonderful. Thinking of that made me feel sad that things may have changed. This is such a great Accommodation overall, so I hope it will be even better by the time I visit again.

    I want to support you, but…

    This was my third stay. The last time I stayed was in summer, but a large number of frogs—something I’m not comfortable with—showed up in the open-air bath in the Room, so I couldn’t use it. After that, I didn’t return for about two years. This time it was winter, so I assumed there wouldn’t be any frogs and made a Reservation for the first time in a while. After filling out the guest register, a staff member asked, “Is this your first time staying with us?” I had read in someone else’s Review that they remembered their previous stay, so this made me feel uneasy. Up until my last visit, I remember dining in private rooms at the restaurant, but this time the dining area was set up using a standard guest Room. Everyone at the Accommodation was kind and always smiling, but perhaps they were short-staffed: it took quite a long time for our first toast drink to arrive, and the timing of each dish being served also tended to be delayed—we ended up waiting quite a bit. Also, the toilet lock in that Room was broken. Even though it was just us using it, it still bothered me, so we had no choice but to walk to a restroom far away. I also remember all of the food being delicious on my previous stays, but this time nothing stood out in particular. Since I had been looking forward to the meal experience, that was disappointing. Back in our Room when I went to remove my contact lenses and tried to operate the stopper mechanism on the sink faucet drain plug area (the part used to close it), that too was broken and wouldn’t seal. With no other option, I used several tissues as a makeshift stopper. The parent company is a Ryokan in Noto that has been affected by earthquakes. I truly want to support them; however, overall this stay left me less than satisfied as we headed home.

    This was my first stay here. The Room, open-air bath, meals, and service were all excellent. I also added a massage, and it was very good. My mother was happy as well. I would love to stay again.

    Highly rated Accommodation

    This was our second stay this year. This time, I stayed with my husband, who couldn’t make it last time. We were told the Room would be assigned on the day, but thank you for your thoughtful consideration in so many ways. From our previous stay, we already knew how wonderful the baths, cuisine, staff hospitality, and overall service were, but this time was even more comfortable and satisfying. The open-air bath at the large public bath with a waterfall view is great, but we also loved that the bath in our Room is an Onsen, so we could soak whenever we wanted—we enjoyed it many times. Both dinner and breakfast were served in a private dining room, featuring an abundance of Hokuriku specialties that were also a delight to look at. The staff are friendly yet professional, and conversations with them are enjoyable as well. Everywhere in the Accommodation is clean and spacious; even just admiring the furnishings here and there was a treat for the eyes. A drink in the lounge after bathing was exceptional. We also had fun looking for books in the library collection. My husband loved it too and said one night wasn’t enough—he wished we had stayed two nights. Next time, we would definitely like to stay for two nights and enjoy an even more relaxing visit.

    The hospitality was excellent.

    We enjoyed an amazing view with snow still remaining. The staff also provided excellent service. (Some of the shop staff felt a bit unfriendly... Even though we bought souvenirs, they didn’t put them in a bag.) Being able to enjoy the Onsen anytime in the Room makes this Accommodation perfect for a relaxing stay. The meals fell slightly short of our expectations, but were acceptable. Ishikawa Prefecture has many great Accommodations. Thank you very much.

    Highly rated accommodation

    I stayed for two nights as a solo traveler, and this Accommodation exceeded my expectations for the price. The assigned Room, the dinner selection and flavors, and the attentive service from the experienced staff were all excellent. I also personally appreciated the wide range of sake price options. In addition, the open-air bath where you can soak in the Onsen while viewing a waterfall was wonderful and very relaxing. When I visit Kanazawa again, this is an Accommodation I would like to return to.

    A Wonderful Space

    A quiet Ryokan surrounded by nature, located a little away from the city. It is about 30 minutes by bus from Kanazawa Station, making it close yet offering a completely different atmosphere. The warm welcome from the Ryokan staff, the delicious meals, the relaxing bath, and enjoying warm tea in the detached lounge while listening to the flow of the river all helped relieve daily fatigue and left a lasting impression. The Room was also surrounded by greenery, providing a very relaxing experience. Many guests seem to return here repeatedly, which is understandable. Lastly, despite an issue on our part during our stay, they kindly handled it with great care and allowed us to leave feeling satisfied. The staff training is truly commendable. We are filled with gratitude for this wonderful experience.

    Your First Stay at Takitei

    Thank you very much for everything. The bed was spacious and extremely comfortable, and the in-Room bath was a wonderfully smooth semi-open-air bath that made me want to stay in it forever. All of the staff were pleasant, and it felt like their training was thorough down to the smallest details. This is a Ryokan I would love to stay at again.

    Satisfied with everything

    Every time we visit, Takitei has been upgraded in various ways, so we always discover something new and feel excited. Above all, the hospitality is attentive and outstanding. We were completely satisfied with this meal menu. Thank you very much for your truly thoughtful care, including a birthday gift and a letter that arrived after we returned home. We will definitely visit again.

    This is a high-end Accommodation.

    On the way back from the Accommodation, you can receive taxi vouchers to Kanazawa Station and Kenrokuen Garden, so it’s better to head there by taxi after sightseeing. It’s quite a walk from the bus stop. It’s a very quiet Accommodation, and there’s a waterfall next door, so you can enjoy the footbath or open-air bath while listening to the sound of running water. The amenities are great, and the hair dryer is ReFa. The room also comes with a Bluetooth speaker. The food is delicious, and the Onsen is not crowded with excellent water quality. Everything was completely satisfying. The history is long, but the facilities are new—I can’t believe this price. In Kaga Onsenkyo, I think it would cost about twice as much. Thank you very much. I’ll definitely be back.

    It was a wonderful accommodation!

    This is a wonderful Accommodation. The Accommodation’s policy of hospitality was evident everywhere. Not only the meals, but also the bath, the Room, the temperature throughout the building, and the atmosphere in the dining area—together with the sincere and heartwarming service from all staff—felt genuinely natural and comfortable. My spouse and I truly enjoyed an exceptional time throughout our stay. Thank you so much to everyone at the Accommodation. We promise we will return again—next time with more members in our party!

    Autumn for the second year in a row

    I first visited Takitei last November and was captivated by how wonderful the Accommodation was and how delicious the cuisine was, so I returned again this year. Since November is also the start of crab season, I made my Reservation hoping to enjoy it again as part of dinner. Last year, perhaps due to the extreme summer heat, the trees around the Accommodation were slow to change color. This year, however, we enjoyed beautiful autumn foliage and even saw winter cherry blossoms in the courtyard—and of course, both nodoguro and kobako crab were excellent. This year there were also some great additions: new samue loungewear was provided, and a tote bag was prepared in place of a bath basket—and we were even told that each guest could take one home. This time we chose a Room with a private open-air bath in a detached building. The large open-air bath felt wonderful; I ended up soaking many times because both the view and the temperature were so relaxing. If possible, I’d love to make this my regular Accommodation for autumn trips. Thank you again for your hospitality—I look forward to staying with you again.

    An Accommodation You’ll Want to Visit Again and Again

    This was my second stay. So far, the only Accommodations I’ve visited twice are an Onsen Ryokan in Matsumoto, a local hidden hot-spring Accommodation, and this one. All the staff members I spoke with already knew it was my second visit, which made me very happy. They had also taken on board my suggestion from last time—something I thought would be nice to have—and even made it available to take home, which truly impressed me. I’d love to visit again in a different season. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    An Accommodation You’ll Want to Visit Again

    If I had to describe this Accommodation in one word, it’s a place you’ll want to visit in every season. We stayed in a detached Room. The view from the open, expansive windows was truly like a painting. From the relaxation room designed for taking in that scenery at leisure, the beautiful colors of the four seasons brought comfort and gentleness to both mind and body. In the open-air bath in our Room, we could enjoy the stunning view with our eyes while the lovely songs of birds softly accompanied us. It was such a wonderful open-air bath that we completely lost track of time. When talking about this Accommodation, the meals are not to be missed. Each dish showcased Kanazawa’s finest ingredients, cooking techniques, visually pleasing presentation, and flavor. With heartfelt hospitality, both our stomachs and hearts were truly satisfied. Everywhere in the Accommodation was impeccably clean. In addition to the Room, there is also a relaxation room where you can enjoy unlimited drinks and alcohol while taking in the scenery. This is a wonderful Accommodation where adults can truly unwind. We visited in autumn, but it made us want to return for cherry blossoms, fresh greenery, and even snowy season as well. Everything was excellent, but above all else, I believe the most outstanding part was the staff’s attentive hospitality. Thank you for such a wonderful time.

    It was an excellent Accommodation in every way.

    I visited with my family as a way of showing appreciation to my parents. You might wonder, “Is there really an Accommodation in a place like this?”—it’s tucked away in such a spot. It was quiet and peaceful, with only the sound of the river. The other guests were calm as well, so we were able to relax even in shared areas such as the lounge, public bath, and footbath. My parents also said it was the best Accommodation they have ever stayed at. We chose the plan with nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch), and both dinner and breakfast were wonderfully rich and truly delicious. The other dishes were also delicately prepared with gentle seasoning, and we were very satisfied. The Room was spacious and comfortably designed, with nothing missing in terms of amenities. We could truly unwind, which we greatly appreciated. The lounge and book corner were beautifully arranged—rather than sightseeing, it made us want to set aside time just to fully enjoy this Accommodation. We also gratefully enjoyed the complimentary tea snacks while relaxing and taking in the view. The open-air bath attached to our Room felt a bit cold at this time of year, so I thought some additional wind protection such as blinds would be nice; however, bathing in the morning with an open view was very refreshing. All staff members provided pleasant service. We were especially surprised by how thoughtfully they saw us off—right up until our car disappeared from sight. We will definitely return. Thank you very much for everything during our stay.

    It was a relaxing holiday.

    I visited on a Kanazawa trip I planned for my long-awaited summer vacation. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I thought it was wonderful—and my intuition was right. The Room was modern and stylish, with plenty of amenities and welcome sweets, making it extremely comfortable. The in-room Onsen, the large public bath, and the open-air bath all had excellent water quality and views, and I ended up soaking for a long time each time. The meals featured an abundance of seasonal ingredients; they were so generous that I thought I couldn’t finish them, yet they were so delicious that I somehow ate everything—an unforgettable experience. The staff’s smiles and thoughtful attention were truly professional, and I was deeply impressed by what genuine hospitality looks like. I made a Reservation hoping to unwind from my busy days, but it exceeded my expectations. This is an Accommodation I would especially recommend to someone important—and I will definitely return myself. Thank you very much.

    To celebrate my uncle’s 80th birthday

    We stayed here to celebrate my uncle’s 80th birthday. When I mentioned this at the time of booking, they prepared a gold celebratory vest for him and even gave us a bottle of wine as a gift. We also brought a separate present for my uncle! The hospitality, meals, Room, and baths were all wonderful—we had a truly satisfying time.     Third stay for a small alumni reunion.

    This Accommodation was recommended by a local (Kanazawa City) friend, and we have stayed here every autumn; this year marked our third visit. The setting and atmosphere offer a wonderful escape from everyday life, and it is easy to see why it is so popular. Local ingredients are prepared with great care, and the authentic kaiseki Japanese cuisine likely leaves overseas guests with a strong impression of Japanese culture. The portions were more than sufficient and very satisfying, and in particular, the staff’s explanations of the ingredients and their service were polished and attentive. One small point of criticism: the newspapers in the lobby were still from the previous day even the next morning. We were also pleased with the Onsen and drink service, and we plan to return every year.

    The Room was spacious and the location was great, so we were very satisfied.

    The Ryokan staff were very courteous and made us feel welcome. The Onsen was wonderful, especially the open-air bath. Our Room also had an open-air bath, so we enjoyed it both at night and in the morning while taking in the view. The Room also had a massage chair—nothing to complain about. The meals were very delicious, but for us seniors the portions were quite large. If it were possible to request smaller portions in advance, we could have finished everything without leaving any. We were more satisfied than we expected.

    The hospitality, cuisine, and facilities were all outstanding at this Accommodation!

    We stayed here to celebrate my partner’s birthday. I had been interested in this Accommodation for a long time because of its high Reviews and ratings, so I was really looking forward to our stay. As expected, the staff’s hospitality was outstanding, and I was deeply moved by their attentive care and thoughtful words. Even though the Accommodation is located in a spacious area surrounded by nature, the interior was very clean and beautifully maintained. Every dish was delicious, and I was especially happy to enjoy Kanazawa specialties and seasonal flavors in a spacious private dining room. The lounge also featured beautifully designed tableware, along with a wide variety of sweets, which truly delighted me. During our stay, we used it many times. Although we even received a birthday gift, there was also a small miscommunication between us and the Accommodation that didn’t feel like a big deal on my end—yet they still offered an apology and gave us an additional gift to take home. Thanks to their impeccable service and attention to detail, it became a truly heartwarming stay. Next time, I’d love to visit for my parents’ wedding anniversary. If I had one small request, I’d be happy if the glasses for alcoholic drinks were a bit larger (maybe you keep them smaller so guests don’t get too tipsy…). Thanks to all of the staff members, we were able to make wonderful memories. We are sincerely grateful.

    We were extremely satisfied.

    I stayed here with my girlfriend for my 30th birthday. They prepared the Japanese-style Room I had requested in advance, and it was very clean—I was completely satisfied. Both dinner and breakfast were even better than expected, and the dishes featuring local ingredients were especially memorable. In addition, the staff coordinated with my girlfriend to arrange a birthday surprise, which became a wonderful memory. I truly appreciate their warm hospitality. This is an Accommodation I would definitely like to stay at again when visiting Kanazawa.

    The Ultimate Solo Getaway

    I have stayed here several times in the past, but this was my first time traveling solo and enjoying a two-night Multiple Night Stay. Among Onsen Accommodations of Takitei’s caliber, I can’t think of many that so warmly welcome solo guests. Visiting again, I was once more impressed by your hospitality. You prepared a Room with an Onsen for a solo guest and arranged private dining, and I truly felt your generosity and willingness to go the extra mile. Both the Onsen and the meals were outstanding. The Onsen leaves your skin silky-smooth and warms you through. The food was excellent—not only the fish and meat (Noto beef), but also the vegetables, all wonderfully fresh. The grilled fish and dried fish had crisp, fragrant skin while the flesh stayed moist and plump, never dried out, and even came cleanly off the bones. The sashimi selection offered small portions of many varieties; as someone who loves lightly seared fish and kombu-cured sashimi, it made me incredibly happy. This may sound modest, but I especially liked the simmered goby—pleasantly savory rather than sweet. The shiokara (salted seafood), simmered wasabi stems, and plum pickles that weren’t overly sweet were also perfect with delicious white rice. Traveling alone meant I didn’t have to worry about anyone else—I could enjoy exactly what I wanted, whenever I wanted. I had a wonderful time. From the in-room bath to the large public bath, gallery, library/archive room collection area,, lounge,, etc., there is always something to enjoy at any hour during your stay.. Even just walking one loop around around corridor-style hallway lets you encounter various artworksworks pieces pieces art objects objects art displays displays art exhibits exhibits artworks works works works works? Sorry. I honestly want to give five stars across everything.. Please let me visit again.. It was deeply relaxing—thank you very much..

    We had a great time.

    Someone I met on my travels told me, “If you’re staying in Kanazawa, choose Takitei,” and it truly lived up to that recommendation. The building, the hospitality, the baths, and the meals—everything was excellent. I’d love to visit again in a different season. We came by rental car, but first-time visitors may find the route a bit confusing. It may have been because the car navigation system was different from what I’m used to; coming from Kanazawa, I missed the right turn. Taking your time is best.

    Excellent hospitality

    As other Reviews have mentioned, the Facility and amenities are great, but the biggest appeal is the hospitality. Warm, high-quality service is consistently provided, and it didn’t just enhance our trip—I even found myself wanting to visit again just for this Ryokan.

    It was so relaxing!

    We stayed here on the last day of our Hokuriku trip. From welcome to farewell, we felt thoughtful attention in every detail. The meals were excellent—the dashi was delicious, beautifully presented in lovely tableware, and everything was carefully prepared to bring out the flavors. The lounge also offered a great selection of complimentary drinks and snacks, and we honestly wished we could have enjoyed a Multiple Night Stay. If I had to mention anything, it would be perfect if there were an environment where we could watch internet TV, and if the wash towels were a bit higher quality. Even so, we felt exceptional hospitality throughout—thank you for a wonderful day.

    This is an Accommodation I’d love to stay at again.

    The staff’s service is outstanding, and their especially courteous greetings left a lasting impression. The meals and baths were wonderful, and the separate lounge is calm and relaxing. With such a well-stocked library, it would be great for a Multiple Night Stay. Considering the price, it offers excellent value and we were extremely satisfied. When we come to Kanazawa again, we would love to stay here. This is an Accommodation we can confidently recommend to others.

    We stayed for two nights, and the staff’s hospitality was truly outstanding. The meals were also delicious. The open-air bath was the best we’ve ever experienced, with a wonderful Onsen. My husband and I are already talking about coming back in winter, so we look forward to staying again.

    It was a wonderful Accommodation filled with warm hospitality!

    Cute handcrafted items were displayed everywhere—from the Room to the large public bath—and everything was kept impeccably clean! The in-Accommodation drinks and amenities were also well stocked, so if you’re not particular about specific items, you could probably stay without bringing anything! Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious! If you don’t drink alcohol, dinner might feel a little light, but breakfast had a solid variety of dishes, so it balanced out perfectly! Above all, the hospitality from everyone working there was outstanding—their polite language and thoughtful care were truly kind and pleasant, making for an extremely comfortable stay!

    A famed waterfall, cloaked in lush greenery, resounds loudly.

    A short walk downhill from the downtown street, the Accommodation sits on flat land surrounded by rice fields and farmland, with a river and mountainside nearby. When you pull into the drop-off area, staff will carry your luggage. Everyone is kind and greets you with a smile without exception. Matcha tea is served in the lobby lounge overlooking the garden. With an easy-to-understand floor map, you can move around the property smoothly. Various activities and pleasures are prepared for guests during their stay. The Room we stayed in featured large-scale, substantial materials, fittings, and furnishings—genuinely solid and impressive. There was a large bed, a big TV above the fireplace, and a spacious sunroom. With double-glazed windows it was bright and quiet. The scenic-view bath opens toward the greenery on the mountainside; it is large enough for a family to soak up to their shoulders together, with water kept at a comfortable temperature around the clock. The washing area is separated by glass doors, but there is no indoor bath, so it may feel cold in winter. The Room refrigerator is empty; beer after bathing is available from vending machines or via room service. There seem to be several types of dining venues; we ate in a small private tatami room with sunken seating (horigotatsu). Each dish was served at just the right time with attentive service. Portions were slightly generous. Surprisingly, plum wine paired very well. Breakfast was also delicious. The send-off felt heartfelt as well.
