    Perfect Hotel for Kanazawa Sightseeing

    We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days in Kanazawa to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hospitality-filled services made our stay very comfortable. Personally, I highly recommend the cold bath in the large public bath—it was ice-cold and perfect for sauna enthusiasts! (Haha) This is the best Hotel for sightseeing in Kanazawa!

    Taisho Roman Hotel

    The room was spacious and nice, it was very good! I tried Kaga cuisine Mahoroba, but I wasn't very satisfied... The fish was cold, even though I ordered something warm, they just reheated the half-eaten fish... This is my first time experiencing this. However, overall it's a good hotel with a nice environment. The Onsen was also good.

    It was a wonderful Hotel!!

    The service was kind, and the Room was very clean! The Airweave bed was excellent. The breakfast featured local Kanazawa dishes and was very delicious. It was my first time in Kanazawa, and it was during the middle of winter, but thanks to this Hotel, I had a very enjoyable trip. I definitely want to stay here again!

    In case of heavy snow,

    Stayed during heavy snow. Took a shuttle bus from Kanazawa Station to the hotel. The onsen was nice. Chose a Japanese-style room... The window divided by shoji had no curtains, only bamboo blinds, even in winter... The top of the shoji was open, so the room got quite cold. The ventilation fan in the washroom was too strong... The most inconvenient part was the lack of power outlets. Since it was a Japanese-style room, there were no slippers inside, and the floor in the washroom and toilet was cold.

    It was a good vacation.

    Previously, I stayed at THE HOTEL SANRAKU KANAZAWA, but since it didn't have an Onsen, I decided to stay at "Kanazawa Hakuchoro Hotel Sanraku" this time because I was interested in their Onsen. The retro feel from the lobby to the room was so charming, and the bath water I was curious about was a nice, smooth Onsen. (The post-bath Yakult and ice cream were the best.) The room had lovely cups and teacups, and even a duck and umbrella in the room's bath, which made me feel at ease with the hospitality in various places. Also, when I was taking photos in the lobby on my way out, I was kindly asked, "Would you like me to take a photo for you?" Thank you for that. This time, I couldn't have a meal as it was a sudden decision, but I look forward to it next time. Just one thing, it was a bit difficult to enter with a large car due to the large tiled pillars at the entrance of the parking lot, and the parking was somewhat difficult! Was it the line markings?

    First, the building is slightly old but comfortable. It's not cold. Inside the Room, there was 1.5 liters of water, and all the drinks in the refrigerator were available to consume, which was very comfortable. The location is also good, and they lent us an umbrella, which was very satisfying. I felt that I would be happy to stay again. Furthermore, bath towels and such are available in the large public bath, so there was no need to bring them from the Room, which was very convenient.

    Compact and convenient for sightseeing

    A compact Hotel adjacent to Kanazawa Castle, away from the hustle and bustle of the station area. Close to Kenrokuen Garden, ideal for first-time visitors to Kanazawa. Shuttle bus service available to Kanazawa Station. The Onsen does not have an open-air bath but includes a sauna, and complimentary post-bath drinks (Yakult) are exceptional. The Room's refrigerator is stocked with free drinks including water, tea, and even beer, with thoughtfully selected amenities. Both the Room (stayed on the top 6th floor) and the lounge on the 1st floor have a classical atmosphere offering a sense of calmness.

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

    I had always wanted to stay here, and I finally had the opportunity to do so. The onsen, breakfast, and all the staff left a good impression, allowing me to have a pleasant time. They took care of my luggage before check-in, and with attractions like Kenrokuen and Kanazawa Castle nearby, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It has become a property I would like to stay at again. The lobby was lovely.

    The staff's response...

    The staff's response was excellent, and the food was delicious. The view from the Room was creatively covered with stained glass, which was nice. The piano performance at night and the drink service in the refrigerator were also good. The drink in the bath comes out automatically, so it might be better to have it manually like at breakfast. The main tourist areas are within walking distance, so I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

    Overall satisfied, but...

    I used it for the first time. I chose it because I could enjoy a crab kaiseki meal and the breakfast had a good reputation. The stained glass and Kutani ware were very interesting, and the stained glass had a different impression in the morning and evening light, which was very pleasant. There was a large public bath, with a dedicated direct elevator and drinks were served, which I thought was nice. Personally, I would prefer it a bit hotter, but it might be good for a long, relaxing soak. The crab kaiseki was very delicious, as it was the season, but I was expecting a whole crab to be cooked as I had experienced at another place before, so I felt a bit different about the course meal. The staff's response was also good. When I took a taxi to go there, the driver mistook it for another Hotel Sanraku, and said he would understand if I mentioned the town name, which was confusing for someone from another prefecture. It's not the Hotel's fault, but I thought there are various drivers, and it seemed that I didn't pronounce Hakuchouro (Hakuchouro) correctly, so it wasn't conveyed to the driver (it's my fault for not pronouncing it correctly... I mentioned it was on the Kanazawa Castle side, but I didn't expect to stumble there).

    I stayed at this property because I was attracted by its historical charm. It is within walking distance from the station, located in a quiet environment, and is a calm stay. Although it is a hotel, it has an onsen, and it is convenient to take a dedicated elevator from the room to the onsen in a yukata. The room was clean and had stylish decor. During my stay, from check-in to check-out, I often felt "?" about the staff's language. I hope they will be properly educated and trained to use polite language towards guests. When I left something in the room and inquired at the front desk, they called the cleaning staff on the intercom right in front of us, saying, "Can I have them go get it now?" I was surprised by the lack of consideration for guests. I hope they will educate and develop personnel who can respond to guests with beautiful language. Despite having many guests from overseas, there were no staff who could speak English properly, and at the front desk, they repeatedly said "OK? OK?" to guests' questions, which was concerning. Also, in the large public bath, there were many people with poor manners, using the shower while standing and splashing water around, which was surprising. Both overseas and domestic guests were using it in that manner. Wouldn't it be necessary to improve by explaining briefly at check-in or posting easy-to-understand notices so that everyone can enjoy the onsen comfortably? Please consider this.

    I was satisfied.

    The location was excellent, and the room, meals, and Onsen were all satisfactory. If I have the opportunity to come to Kanazawa, I would like to use this hotel again.

    It was very good.

    The overall calm atmosphere was nice, and the Room was clean. We opted for the basic course for dinner as we preferred something light. It was great that we managed to finish the meal as it was served promptly. The customer service was excellent, with everyone providing wonderful service and lovely smiles. Then, the bath. The temperature was just right, allowing for a long soak. It was also helpful that there was a ReFa hairdryer, so I didn't need to bring my own. Since the building is quite old, there were a few minor concerns, but it was well-maintained, so I think there was no problem. The taxi driver mentioned, "It's rare these days, as I mostly take people to the new Hotel (Sanraku-san's)," but when I replied, "I deliberately chose the older one because I'm looking forward to the interior," he responded, "Ah, that's a good place." Hearing that it had a good reputation, I had high expectations even before arriving, and it was indeed very good. The wonderful Hotel made our Kanazawa trip a memorable one. Thank you very much.

    My husband participated in the Kanazawa Marathon, so we stayed again at Kanazawa Hakuchoro Sanraku, where we were satisfied last year. At the front desk, they recognized it was our second time, which is surprisingly pleasant as a guest. This time, we chose the Roman Luxury Room, and like last time, the drinks in the refrigerator were free. There was also a 2-liter bottle of water, which was appreciated! There are bathrobes and yukata in the room, but it would be even better if there were bottoms like samue. I felt glad to have brought pajamas. The onsen in the large public bath was lukewarm and pleasant, and from this year, the women's bath had ReFa shower heads and hairdryers, which was exciting. However, some older guests seemed to have trouble using the hairdryer, and I ended up teaching them how to use it. It might be complicated for some depending on their age. One disappointment was that I wanted to hang my wet clothes after the marathon, but the laundry rope above the bathtub was broken and unusable, which was inconvenient. It's a minor detail, but I wish it had been checked. At Kaga Cuisine Mahoroba, not only was the food delicious, but the dishes were beautiful and enjoyable to look at. The curry at the breakfast buffet was hearty and tasty. The natto was also large and delicious. I recommend it! Overall, it's old, but it matches well with the stained glass and furnishings, creating a nice atmosphere. The staff at the front desk, restaurant, and cleaning were all smiling and pleasant.     100% Satisfaction

    We used two twin rooms for our biannual trip with four women. The building felt a bit old, but the spacious rooms were beautifully renovated, and the two rooms were connected by a door in the middle, making it convenient and comfortable. The beds by Airweave and the shower heads and hairdryers in the large public bath were by ReFa, making the amenities luxurious. Dinner incorporated Kanazawa specialties and was delicious, and the breakfast buffet had a wide variety, with items being replenished quickly when they ran low. Although the natural Onsen in the central area close to Kenrokuen and Kanazawa Castle Park was a deciding factor, the attentive hospitality and service were impeccable. Additionally, the path along the stream next to the Hotel, dotted with bronze sculptures, was a picturesque route perfect for walking to Kenrokuen. It was a Hotel that made me want to stay again if I ever visit Kanazawa again.

    I would like to use it again.

    Overall, it was very good. Regarding the public bath: I can't say for certain as I didn't see the whole body clearly, but there was someone who appeared to be male (perhaps identifying as female?) using the women's bath. If that is the case, my honest opinion is that I would prefer the public bath to be used according to the gender assigned at birth, rather than gender identity. It's a difficult issue, though.

    The building has a historical charm, but the facilities are customer-oriented, making it easy to access by car, and overall, it was extremely comfortable. The breakfast fruit was not replenished quickly, so I missed out on it. However, the taste was very delicious.

    Unfortunately, it was Kanazawa. I couldn't imagine having dinner in the room. The smell in the room made me feel like throwing up. This is an accommodation that doesn't belong in the Reiwa era.
