    Room, lobby, dining ...

    Room, lobby, dining area Overall, it was a clean and beautiful Ryokan. The meals incorporated seasonal ingredients and were very delicious. It was quiet, allowing for a relaxing stay.

    It was a wonderful Ryokan.

    This was my first time staying here. The room was spacious, and the bathroom facilities were new, clean, and very convenient to use. Dinner was delicious, and having a private dining room allowed for a calm and relaxing experience. Due to our schedule, we had to leave early in the morning. After consulting in advance, they kindly prepared breakfast and arranged shuttle service to the station. During our stay, the staff shared information seamlessly among themselves, ensuring smooth communication and making our stay very comfortable. As this visit involved a rushed departure, I look forward to spending more time relaxing at this accommodation on my next visit.

    Integration

    We had a very relaxing and slow-paced time. As expected from Nishimuraya, we felt its excellence everywhere. Although we arrived a bit late, the response was extremely smooth. When we mentioned at the front desk that we wanted to enjoy the public bath and the main building's bath before dinner despite limited time, this request was promptly communicated to our Room attendant, and they kindly arranged for welcome drinks and other services to be provided after dinner. It’s a small gesture, but such thoughtfulness made us very happy. Thank you for your hospitality.

    The in-room dining was delicious, making it a relaxing trip. It would be appreciated if the number of buses for the public bath tour could be increased and basket bags or similar items could be provided for convenience.

    A wonderful Hotel.

    Every summer vacation, our family enjoys swimming at Takenohama Beach and spending time at Shogetsutei with its pool and Onsen. Even though we visit every year, the Rooms are even more beautifully designed than the previous year, and the staff's exceptional hospitality always ensures a comfortable stay. However, I feel that the kaiseki dinner portions are quite large, and the hamo dish as a palate cleanser might not be necessary. It would be better to serve cold dishes earlier in the course and include a small sorbet after the beef loin as a refreshing touch. That said, we thoroughly enjoyed all of the delicious dishes, including crab and the exquisite corn kamameshi at the end of our meal. Choosing a children's kaiseki instead of opting for a Family Plan for our elementary schooler was definitely a good decision. After checking out, we were able to enjoy playing in the pool again before relaxing in the Onsen one last time—truly making our stay at Shogetsutei unforgettable!

    Relax and unwind after the Expo

    Finally, my daughter’s long-awaited trip to Kinosaki Onsen! Due to family schedules, this time it was a mother-daughter trip. After spending two days at the Osaka Expo, we chose Shogetsutei for the final part of our journey, and it was absolutely the right choice. The room was very spacious and quiet, allowing us to relax comfortably. Meals were served in a private dining room with high-quality ingredients that were both visually delightful and delicious until the very last bite. The serving staff and other hotel staff impressed us with their warm smiles and professionalism despite being busy behind the scenes. The large public bath was almost like having it all to ourselves during our visit. With glass partitions between the indoor bath and open-air bath, we could enjoy a spacious and relaxing experience in either area. The changing rooms were well-maintained by attentive staff who frequently checked on cleanliness around sinks and trash bins. The hotel also offers a shuttle bus service, making it convenient for sightseeing or visiting other Onsen baths nearby. Since it was a hot season, we only managed to visit one external Onsen this time but would love to return as a family during cooler months when we can fully enjoy more of what Kinosaki has to offer! One night wasn’t enough!

    I stayed for one nig...

    I stayed for one night on a hot day. Passing through the entrance, the three-tiered waterfall visible from the lobby is always a breathtaking view, even after multiple stays. The beauty of the mountain stream was captivating. My room faced the garden, and I was soothed by the sparkle of the pool and the depth of the forest. Dinner was served in my room, and both the language and gestures of my room attendant were exemplary hospitality. The special dish from the head chef was also incredibly delicious. Breakfast had a different touch compared to my previous stay, showing thoughtful creativity. The forest pool was very comfortable. The smiles of all staff members and every detail provided complete relaxation for both body and mind. Next time, I would love to enjoy a multiple night stay!

    Luxury Solo Travel

    This was my first trip to Kinosaki Onsen, and I wanted to stay at a memorable and wonderful accommodation, so I chose this one. From the moment I stood at the front entrance, I was amazed! Stepping inside felt like entering a castle. I enjoyed a welcome drink in the lobby lounge while relaxing with the view through the glass windows. The guest room was a Natural Comfort twin room with a modern atmosphere that I loved. The spaciousness of the room is exceptional. On the 1st floor, I refreshed myself in "Tsuki no Yu." The gift shop "Sanpou Shogetsutei" on the 1st floor offers delicious local products and carefully selected items—I ended up buying many things! For dinner, we had Italian cuisine at Restaurant Ricca—it was incredibly delicious and highly recommended. At breakfast, don’t miss trying their Tajima Beef Curry; it’s fantastic! The Japanese side dishes are also worth trying. Before breakfast, we took a walk in the forest garden—it’s grand in scale and truly breathtaking. This is such an amazing accommodation that it became an unforgettable memory for me. The staff's hospitality is also outstanding. If you’re visiting Kinosaki Onsen, you should definitely stay here at least once!

    Sudden changes...

    We made a last-minute reservation the day before and stayed here. Although the Kinosaki Onsen area felt a bit quiet due to the off-season and many shops being closed, Shogetsutei provided such warm hospitality that we didn’t feel it at all. The meals were all delicious, perfectly paired with drinks. The onsen was not crowded, allowing us to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing soak. I also had an 80-minute spa treatment, which was handled with great care and left me feeling completely relaxed. I would love to stay here again when visiting Kinosaki Onsen!

    Meals

    The next dishes were served before finishing the current ones, making us rush to eat. Dessert was also brought out before we finished the last course of rice. It was very disappointing.

    Neither good nor bad.

    Positive Points: - Cleaning was thorough in every corner. - The bath was clean. - Floor heating was available. - The facility was quiet and peaceful. - At the breakfast area, there were walkers with trays for those who needed assistance, such as elderly guests or those using canes. - Plenty of towels and yukata were provided. Negative Points: - Free drinks in the room only included water for the number of guests staying. - Room snacks consisted of small rice crackers and dried plums for each guest, a small yokan in the fridge, and two drip coffee packs. - Cosmetic amenities were not individually packaged but refillable types instead. - The large public bath is located almost adjacent to the first-floor lobby area. - Bread at the breakfast buffet was not tasty. Although we stayed at a discounted rate by using points, I often stay at accommodations priced around 50,000 yen per person per night, and I felt this did not match its price point overall. However, dinner at Sanpou restaurant exceeded expectations with both service and taste being satisfying; on the other hand, dinner served by the hotel itself felt ordinary and disappointing. That said, enjoying an outing to visit external baths added fun memories to our trip! We hope for further improvements in future stays!

    As expected of Nishimuraya.

    The facility, amenities, and staff provided top-notch service. This is an accommodation I would love to visit again, including Nishimuraya Honkan. A good accommodation ensures excellent ventilation in the large communal bath, allowing for a relaxing and leisurely experience without feeling overheated. Breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, and the Italian cuisine was exceptional.

    Great hot springs

    The Onsen was great, the food was very delicious, and overall it was excellent. However, having industrial-use lotion and emulsion in the room at this Accommodation Fee is disappointing. The amenity set is also one of the things to look forward to.

    Full-course dining at the Onsen

    We stayed in a suite for three adults during our family trip to Kinosaki Onsen. The room had separate living and sleeping areas, each equipped with a large TV, and it was impeccably clean. It would have been perfect if there had been an open-air bath attached to the room. The public bath was excellent, featuring an open-air bath and a spacious sauna. Meals were French-Italian cuisine. Initially, we wondered about having a full-course meal at an Onsen, but the dishes were so exquisite that they alone would be worth the visit. The courses were delicately crafted with high-quality ingredients, perfectly paired with champagne. Our family was thoroughly satisfied!

    The meals and staff ...

    The meals and staff service were excellent, making for a relaxing stay. It was a bit disappointing that the open-air bath felt underwhelming compared to the sauna space. A checkout time of 11:00 AM would allow for a more leisurely departure. An interesting touch was the Japanese uniqueness of having a shrine facing opposite behind the cross in the forest chapel. The garden was beautiful, but the "Beware of Vipers" sign was intimidating.

    The courteous service made for a comfortable stay. The Hotel's Onsen was clean and pleasant. Although it is located a bit farther away, the shuttle bus made it easy to enjoy visiting other baths without any issues.

    It is a very good accommodation.

    From the initial Check Reservation to check-in, Shuttle Service, meals, Room, and check-out, everything was well-prepared and very satisfying. Although it is located at the far end of Kinosaki Onsen, you can walk to the center in about 20 minutes along the riverside promenade. Additionally, there is a Hotel shuttle bus available, so this is not an issue (in fact, it's nice to take a leisurely walk). Meals were served in a private room on the second floor with tables. This setup prevents any lingering odors in the Room and is quite pleasant. The price is on the higher side but worth it for the satisfaction provided.

    After 18 Years: A Return to Nishimuraya Shogetsutei

    We stayed here in February for a couple's trip after 18 years, enjoying the snowy scenery. Thank you for providing us with such a pleasant and wonderful time. We stayed in the "Keigetsu" Room with an open-air bath and enjoyed a full-course meal featuring Matsuba crab. The rock bath open-air hot spring was incredibly relaxing, especially with the snowy view. The cuisine exceeded our expectations and was absolutely delicious. The Facility was also well-equipped, including a large public bath with a sauna, cold bath, and open-air bath that were all excellent. In the lobby lounge, we could relax while admiring the garden with its flowing waterfall. Above all else, we were deeply touched by the warm hospitality of all staff members, which truly reflects why this place is so popular. Although it was honestly quite an expensive stay for us as a couple, on our way home we found ourselves saying how nice it would be to return next year... Thank you very much!

    Crab Travel

    After two years, we visited during the crab season. We have been to Kinosaki Onsen about 20 times, and have stayed at Nishimuraya Shogetsutei 3 or 4 times. Both my husband and I really like it. Next year, I would like to try the spa once. Thank you for the wonderful time.

    It was excellent!

    We stayed here for a family trip to celebrate our parents' 30th wedding anniversary. The hospitality, service, rooms, and meals were all excellent. We would love to stay here again if we have the chance to visit Kinosaki.

    After all, this is the place to stay in Kinosaki!

    As expected, this is a truly satisfying Property. The staff's brisk and efficient movements reflect thorough employee training. The meals were delicious, and I was able to enjoy a relaxing time. I will continue to use this Property in the future.

    Satisfied with the delicious Matsuba crab.

    This was my second visit to Kinosaki Onsen, and choosing Shogetsutei, which I had wanted to stay at for a long time, turned out to be the perfect decision. I am grateful for the hospitality of not only the front desk and restaurant staff but also the staff I encountered throughout the facility. The Matsuba crab was not only as delicious as expected but also plentiful, leaving me completely satisfied. Thanks to the snow that had fallen until the day before, the garden view from the lobby lounge was also beautiful. With the Diamond Member benefit of late check-out, I was able to enjoy a relaxed morning. I am truly thankful for the wonderful time spent at Kinosaki Onsen.     Warm hospitality

    A highly satisfying Onsen trip

    Since it is away from the Onsen town, I was a bit concerned, but with the shuttle bus, we were able to enjoy visiting the public baths and strolling around the Onsen town. It started to drizzle, but the driver kindly provided us with umbrellas, so there was no problem at all. Dinner was a feast with crab, Tajima beef, and other dishes, and the service from the staff was excellent, allowing us to have a wonderful time. The crab with sansho and Tajima beef shigure-ni that we bought as souvenirs were also delicious. It turned out to be a very satisfying trip. Thank you very much.

    It was a very satisfying stay. The live crab dinner at Sanpou, with its outstanding atmosphere, was complemented by the sommelier's courteous explanations, maintaining an appropriate distance. The breakfast offered a wide variety of vegetables and dressings with names that left us spoilt for choice... I can't write it all down. The quality of the hot spring water truly warms you up, and even after two days, you still feel cozy. I felt that all the staff members were multi-talented and well-trained.     A luxury Ryokan with a well-balanced high satisfaction level

    I stayed after the 9-day New Year holiday. The crab dinner, onsen facility, equipment, amenities, and shuttle service were all top-notch and very satisfying. If I had to point out one thing, it would be that the price was a bit high due to the fate of traveling alone. Even so, it was a ryokan that made me want to visit again.

    The dinner was excellent.

    The Snow Pine Course with live Matsuba crab and Tajima beef charcoal grill at Sanpou Nishimuraya Honten was just the right amount, with the crab cooked perfectly and the seasoning spot on. I wished for a bit more crab miso, but it couldn't be helped. It was my first time trying Tajima beef charcoal grill, and it was tender and very delicious. The staff were all smiles, and it felt like a great workplace. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.
