    I had a relaxing time.

    Stay in Kumamoto After a Long Time As expected from a historic hotel, it had a nostalgic atmosphere and you could truly feel the accumulated history. The room was renovated, very clean, and provided a comfortable space to relax. The large windows added an open feeling, offering a great view of Kumamoto city! I will definitely stay here again when I visit Kumamoto!

    A historic Hotel

    This Hotel preserves the traditional charm and atmosphere of Kumamoto, which is truly appreciated. The courteous service is also very pleasant. However, while maintaining tradition, some aspects of the Facility feel outdated or inconvenient. As the airport and station are a bit far, it would be helpful if breakfast could start a little earlier.

    Night View of Kumamoto Castle

    The highlight of choosing this Hotel was being able to see the beautifully lit-up Kumamoto Castle up close from the Room window, and it truly was stunning. While the building is slightly old, giving the Room a somewhat dated feel, amenities like a Nespresso machine, a humidifying air purifier, and bathrobes were well-provided. The "Handmade Nearby Restaurant List" placed in the Room was excellent; we visited the recommended Yokobachi and found it to be an outstanding restaurant with great taste, atmosphere, and value for money. Thank you!

    Functional and Stylish Room

    Stayed after hearing about the renovation's reputation. The space was stylish, functional, and relaxing. Recently, I've been touring renovated long-established hotels, and this one is highly recommended. The design of the room wear was adorable and extremely comfortable to wear. As I am considering rebuilding my home, I found it inspiring. On the day of my stay, it was unseasonably hot, but the air conditioning was weak. Thank you for your hospitality.

    I chose a spacious R...

    I chose a spacious Room rather than one with a view. The Room was clean and comfortable. The view was not great as it faced away from Kumamoto Castle, but it was sufficient for enjoying the Hotel life. I stayed in a Room on the 3rd floor, which had a balcony outside (though inaccessible), and I was surprised to see staff members there, possibly for work purposes. It couldn't be helped due to their work, but I was confused as it happened just when I intended to take a quick look outside.

    Repeat is a must.

    This was my third stay, and it was indeed a wonderful experience. This time, I stayed in a newly renovated and beautiful room, which made for an extremely comfortable stay. Breakfast is definitely best with the Japanese-style option. It's nice to be able to choose between porridge or regular rice. I am always soothed by the hospitality of the staff.

    The location, Room, and restaurant are all excellent at the Hotel.

    I stayed for sightseeing. The exterior felt like a hotel representing Kumamoto, and inside, it had a solid and wonderful atmosphere. The staff had the dignity of a long-established property and provided very reassuring and warm hospitality. We used the Chinese restaurant at night, and they were very kind to the children. The guest room was a newly renovated room, and we were able to spend our time very cleanly and comfortably. There was a raised floor, and since there was a walk-in closet at the entrance, we could put the stroller in as it was, and it was a very grateful design for those with children as we could also put in coats. The bed was large enough for three people to roll around, and it was comfortable, allowing us to wake up pleasantly in the morning. The bath and toilet were separate, and everything, including the dressing room, could be partitioned with doors, and the fact that the water from the sink didn't splash back was excellent. The Chinese restaurant, Togen (Tougen), was incredibly delicious no matter what we ate, especially the chili sauce prawns and Chen Mapo Tofu, which were particularly excellent. Thanks to Castle Hotel, we were able to spend a wonderful and comfortable time. Thank you very much. It was a hotel that made me want to come back again! I will visit again.

    Although it is far from the station,

    True to its name, it was a prestigious Hotel. The Chinese restaurant in the basement is also recommended. Of course, Kumamoto Castle, which looks like it's framed through the window, was very beautiful. Good luck!

    A classic Hotel representing Kumamoto

    I visit Kumamoto more than once a month, and I always choose this place for the sense of security it provides. The Japanese-style breakfast is highly recommended. The pre-renovation Room has a classic and nostalgic charm, with a truly melancholic and tasteful atmosphere. The post-renovation Room is modern and comfortable. Both are wonderful in their own way. The staff are smart and efficient, which I notice every time I check in. It's also reassuring to see staff present even at night. It's convenient for both sightseeing and business, and there are many stylish shops in the surrounding area. I plan to continue staying here in the future.

    A classic Hotel at the foot of Kumamoto Castle

    A location right in front of Kumamoto Castle, excellent hospitality, prestigious Chinese cuisine, a lovely authentic bar, and a wonderful Hotel reminiscent of the Imperial Hotel. If there were residences, I would definitely want to live there!

    Due to the change in management,

    This hotel, which is also my hometown, was a traditional hotel that offered warmth and a comfortable atmosphere with just the right temperature from the staff, so I was very attached to it. Of course, it still follows that tradition, and I think it is properly managed as a city hotel, but after staying there at the end of last year and in January this year, I feel that the warmth and kindness have slightly changed to a sense of "indifference." I understand that the management has changed, and that efficiency and unnecessary services have been streamlined, and that increasing revenue is prioritized, but I no longer feel the familiarity of "Welcome back" that I used to experience despite using it many times. Nevertheless, there is no change in the cleanliness and stability as a hotel, and the cost performance is good, so I believe the location and reliable service are guaranteed for staying.

    I had a very comfort...

    I had a very comfortable stay. The breakfast was delicious, and the service was excellent. It is within walking distance to Kumamoto Castle, making it an ideal hotel for sightseeing. Thank you very much.

    Recommended for a trip to Kumamoto

    You can see the castle, which is lit up at night, from the Room right next to Kumamoto Castle. We had Chinese cuisine in the basement. Everything was delicious and satisfying. The menu is also abundant, so next time I would like to try different dishes. If you are going to Kumamoto, I recommend it!

    Hotel with a panoramic view of Kumamoto Castle

    It was my first stay, but it was a stay where I could fully feel Kumamoto! It takes about 10 minutes by taxi from Kumamoto Station, and the access is excellent even by the charming streetcar! From arrival to during the stay, the staff were overflowing with a sense of welcome. From the Room, you can see Kumamoto Castle at an extremely close distance, allowing you to fully experience Kumamoto. The authentic Chinese cuisine was also superb! This Hotel is highly recommended for both sightseeing and business use in Kumamoto! I will definitely repeat my stay!

    Disappointed

    The Japanese dinner on January 1st and the Japanese breakfast (Osechi cuisine) on January 2nd were exactly the same, making me think they were leftovers from the previous day. I was disappointed from the New Year as I had high expectations from a long-established Hotel, especially since I could have chosen Western cuisine if it had been displayed.↓

    As it was a New Year...

    As it was a New Year's menu, breakfast was a set Western-style Osechi meal. I was surprised that the room slippers were made of vinyl, like those used in the toilet. I don't think I'll be repeating my stay.

    Year-end and New Year

    I was able to spend a relaxing time at the end of the year. The downtown area was just a short walk away, allowing for leisurely shopping. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

    It was a comfortable Hotel. There were three TVs, one of which was in the bathroom, allowing you to watch while soaking in the bathtub. It felt like a privilege of a suite room. My companion was working while glancing at Kumamoto Castle (Kumamoto-jō). It was beautiful at night as well. It was a satisfying stay, but it was disappointing that there was no option for an omelet in the morning Western-style set.

    Kumamoto Sightseeing

    I used it for sightseeing in Kumamoto. The Room was a connecting Room. It was a spacious and clean Room with no complaints about the amenities. Although it was far from the station, it was near Kumamoto Castle, and there were many restaurants in the area, so I was able to walk to popular local shops. I think it's very good for sightseeing at Kumamoto Castle.

    A renowned Hotel representing Kumamoto

    I checked in late at night, but I was warmly welcomed, which gave me a great sense of security, and I felt it was indeed a renowned Hotel. The guest room was spacious and comfortable, and the view of Kumamoto Castle right in front of me was an experience that is hard to find elsewhere, making it feel quite luxurious. Breakfast is served individually rather than as a buffet. I chose Japanese cuisine, and with a large variety of dishes, the quality was very high, making me feel very relaxed and elegant from the morning.

    Family trip stay

    There are not many Rooms where you take off your shoes, so I was able to relax. It was unfortunate that I could hear construction noises even at night, but the front desk staff and the parking lot guide were kind. I would like to repeat this Hotel.

    Wonderful.

    The room was very clean, and I felt that the cleaning was thorough. The bath was also spacious, and I was able to use it at my leisure. I also had a Japanese breakfast. It was very filling and delicious. The service at check-in and check-out was also courteous. I think it's a very nice hotel. I would like to stay again when I visit Kumamoto.

    A wonderful stay in Kumamoto

    Location: Very good since it is just the opposite of the castle Food: Provide different choice (Western/Japanese) breakfast and quite good. Will try their Chinese cuisine (chuuka ryouri) next time Rooms: Very good since we choose the new room type (Deluxe King Twin) which is very nice. Service: Very detail-minded and polite staff. Always try the best and serve us Improvement: 1. Refill in humidifier if they know customer use it

    I regularly stay here.

    Since it is located near Kumamoto Castle, it is very suitable for staying for sightseeing or business. As it is an established Property, the service is very pleasant, and this time I stayed in a new Room, which was very comfortable.

    This time, I stayed in a renovated room, and the room was comfortable and very relaxing! It's easy to get around by car, and since Kumamoto Castle and the bar district are nearby, I always use this property!

    The location was good, and the service was also excellent.

    I used it for business, and although the building is a bit old, it was well cleaned and the service and breakfast were very good. It is definitely a cut above other Business Hotels.

    I was able to relax in a spacious room that offered attentive hospitality. Since I didn't expect much of a view from the renovated third floor on the street side, it was not an issue. I was very satisfied with the stay just for refreshment. The small Shodai-yaki dishes for the Japanese breakfast were nice, but the meal content could use a little improvement. Overall, it was a hotel I would like to revisit. Thank you for your hospitality.

    As expected of a long-established Hotel

    The Room was renovated, spacious, and clean. As expected from a Hotel with history, the staff provided pleasant service. If I may add, it would have been nice to have multiple dining options for around ¥3,000 for dinner.

    Location and Excellent Hospitality

    Thank you for taking care of us for four days. It was a memorable Hotel where we used it for a family engagement ceremony over ten years ago, and it was deeply moving. The Room was spacious, accommodating for children, and conveniently located, allowing us to have a comfortable stay. We would like to use it again when we visit Kumamoto.
