Customer service is
The service provided by the staff varies greatly. It is disappointing, especially since this is not an ordinary Ryokan but a high-class Property under Relais & Châteaux. The female staff at check-in and the staff during breakfast and dinner provided very pleasant service. Thank you. The Shuttle Service staff, however, were different on the way to and from the Property, but their responses were curt even when spoken to, which was disappointing. I asked an older male staff member to take a photo, but he seemed unable to operate the smartphone properly, only took one picture, and returned the phone with a slightly irritated demeanor, which was intimidating. Moreover, the photo had a finger in it and was blurry. The atmosphere did not allow me to ask for a retake, so the family photo we were looking forward to turned out disappointing. It’s a wonderful Property, so it feels like a missed opportunity. Other than that, I think it’s an excellent Property, and I would like to visit again.

It was the best Stays.
The view of Tanigawa-dake from the Stays, the large room bath, the perfect temperature of the water, the after-dinner drinks and late-night snacks service were excellent. The building is beautiful, allowing for a luxurious time. This is a property I can recommend to anyone. I will visit again.

It was extremely comfortable!
The communication for confirming the Shuttle Service and other details in advance was smooth. The guidance on the day was also courteous, making it very comfortable. The dinner was seasonal and delightful. ...I got carried away and ended up drinking a few glasses of plum wine. Sleeping on a futon for the first time in a while was comfortable, as I had specified the firmness of the mattress, making it feel as comfortable as a bed. The breakfast was a classic Japanese meal, and the rice was so good that I had three servings. The service was courteous until the end, making it very comfortable. I would like to stay again next time.

Luxurious time
We stayed to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary and birthday. We were able to enjoy the attentive service, delicious meals, and onsen, allowing us to spend a luxurious time. The meals took into account the allergies and preferences we communicated in advance, and the temperature of the open-air bath in the room was adjusted immediately, providing impeccable service. However, the path to the open-air bath in the large public bath was cold due to the snow, which was unfortunate for me as I have poor circulation. With a 1 PM check-in, we were able to relax at the property. There were also igloos and a library on the premises, where we could enjoy tea and apples in a resting hut or take a walk on the snowy paths. From the welcome drink to the farewell, the service was attentive. We would like to use it again.

Thank you for the courteous service. Although I was informed that the men's bath was out of order, it was still disappointing. The renovation of the shop was supposed to be completed, but that was also not the case. Aside from these points, I was very satisfied. I would like to stay again once the renovations are completed.

Travel for Wedding Anniversary
We used this for our 5th wedding anniversary trip. As expected from a luxury Ryokan! The expansive courtyard offers a breathtaking view of Mt. Tanigawa! Drinks at the gazebo are all-you-can-drink. The garden view from the curved corridor was also wonderful! The indoor open-air bath is quite spacious, enough to accommodate about six people comfortably. The cuisine was kaiseki, very elegant and delicious! We truly had a wonderful and meaningful time! Thank you very much!

Relax in an artistic building.
First, you will be overwhelmed by the artistically magnificent building. Then, you can enjoy the finest relaxation time with the attentive hospitality of the staff, the Onsen, and the delicate meals. One of the large public baths was under construction, but there was an open-air bath in the Room, which was enjoyable enough. I definitely want to repeat my visit.

This is the fourth time this year, I believe.
The view of Mount Tanigawa from this lobby is stunning. Meals can be enjoyed quietly in private rooms, making it perfect for relaxation. However, the sauna in the morning is a mist sauna—having a dry sauna option would make it even better.

It was a wonderful Stays.
I had a pleasant stay from arrival to departure. It was quiet and relaxing. The private sauna is definitely worth experiencing!! Even my friend, who isn't fond of saunas, was very relaxed. The labels on the cosmetics in the large public bath were a bit hard to read... It was difficult to tell which one was the lotion due to my presbyopia. I will definitely visit again.

Dream Stays
A long-awaited stay after a year. A wonderful garden and a high-ceilinged corridor overlooking it, I was finally able to walk through. It would have been even more wonderful if the weather had been better. The dome-shaped tent area was a bit disappointing.

A Moment of Relaxation
From the moment of arrival, we received a very pleasant welcome, making it a wonderful start to our journey. We were soothed by the autumn leaves, the snowy scenery of Tanigawadake, and the magnificent gardens and landscapes. It was clear that all the staff cherished the property, which led to warm communication, and made us want to stay again in a different season. We took a leisurely walk, enjoyed delicious apples and coffee, and felt refreshed. The meals were also delicious. Thank you for the feast. We are grateful for the very comfortable stay. A property you'll want to visit repeatedly.
This was our second visit. We relaxed in two rooms with our family of six. Senjuan is a wonderful property surrounded by nature with a great environment. After checking in early, there are plenty of activities such as walking around the spacious grounds, enjoying the charming communal bath, and the open-air bath in the room. The Japanese-style Room S is our favorite, with a spacious room, open-air bath, and deck. It was adorable to see mountain birds dropping blue chestnuts on the deck. The other room was a Western-style room with beds, which was a quiet and elegant room. The cuisine was a sophisticated kaiseki course with a sense of the season, very delicious, and the service was attentive, allowing us to be completely satisfied. The family members who joined for the first time also became big fans of this property. We would definitely like to use this property again.

We were able to enjoy the garden and scenery at just the right time for the autumn leaves. Both dinner and breakfast were very satisfying in terms of taste and quantity. We enjoyed delicious drinks during the free drink service at night. We were also able to relax in the bath.

I have repeated the most at the Ryokan in Japan.
Every time is very wonderful. The contrast between the autumn leaves of the nearby low mountains and the rocks and sand of the distant high mountains is beautiful. Both the large public bath and the open-air bath are clean, smooth, and pleasant. At night, watching the starry sky from the open-air bath in the room, it's almost a shame to go to sleep. I saw Capella in the constellation Auriga for the first time in my life. The meals, with four meals and two late-night snacks over two nights, were all delicious and very satisfying. I definitely want to visit again next year. Thank you all for your kindness.

I was soothed by the best hospitality.
I visited for the first time to celebrate my mother's 77th birthday. The property and garden are well-maintained, and not only was it comfortable to stay, but I was also impressed by the staff's attentive care. Meals are served in a private room, allowing for a leisurely and private time. During dinner, as a celebration of my mother's 77th birthday, we received a complimentary drink, a dessert with a congratulatory message plate, and a Senjuan original Imabari hand towel as a gift, which delighted my mother. Dinner was a seasonal kaiseki, and breakfast included fresh juice and salad, with a choice of fish and rice (white rice, porridge, or fermented brown rice) for the Japanese meal. The croissant for the Western meal was exquisite, ranking among the best I've ever had, and when I asked where I could purchase it, I was told it was imported from France and baked at the property. The meals here are carefully crafted with attention to all ingredients, providing a feast for the eyes and nourishment for the body and soul. I am eager to stay for a multiple night stay next time to enjoy both Japanese and Western meals. The onsen water warms the body and improves skin condition. I was soothed by the sound of the river and the view from the open-air bath in the large public bath. The footbath also offers a great view and is calming, so I recommend it. In the reading room, from 3 PM, the staff serves drinks, and they also provided a handmade fig snack coated with white chocolate, which was delicious. I thought that individually packaged amenities like cosmetics and shampoos would allow even those concerned about hygiene to stay with peace of mind. Although it was a one-night stay this time, I was thoroughly healed by the excellent hospitality, the view of Mt. Tanigawa, nature, meals, and onsen. I'm glad to have found a property I want to visit each season.

The stay was comfortable.
The stay was enjoyable with luxurious Room arrangements on a spacious site. However, I was disappointed with the rude pre-arrival phone service and the excuse that it was due to the phone system. I made multiple calls, and others responded properly, so was the poor response from just one person really due to the phone system? It's a strange logic. When I visited, there was no direct apology, and I thought it was an unprofessional management. I will not use it again in the future.

The aging of the Facility cannot be hidden, but the Onsen is excellent. The garden is also very beautiful. Additionally, the meals were delicious and very satisfying.

Wonderful Stays.
No matter how many times we visit, the location and service are wonderful at this Stays. The meals are delicious, but it feels like the atmosphere of the dishes has changed since we last visited. Has the head chef changed? Or have we just gotten older? Nonetheless, we would like to come again.

Monthly Couple's Trip
This time, we stayed at Minakami Onsen Bettei Senjuan. We were blessed with great weather and the atmosphere was perfect. We chose this property after seeing it on TV and made a reservation. The TV show praised it highly, so I thought we must go! I immediately made a reservation. I thought it would be difficult to get a reservation after the TV show, but perhaps because it was three months in advance, I got it right away. Check-in was at 1 PM, which was early. We received an email from the property saying we could relax until dinner, and there was already service available. Indeed, the property had plenty of facilities and services, allowing us to relax and enjoy our time. We checked in while enjoying a welcome drink of sparkling wine. Each staff member greeted us with "Please enjoy your stay." We could relax not only physically but also mentally. The open-air bath (onsen) in the room was excellent. We entered it many times during our stay, and our skin felt smooth. The drinks in the room were free. This time, we also enjoyed a walk in the spacious garden. It was a fulfilling 1-night, 2-day trip as a couple. Another good memory was made, and this property will remain on our travel list. Thank you very much. We will visit again.

Anniversary Services Available
During our last stay, it was my wife's birthday, so I requested three surprises at the property, but only one was executed. This time, I informed them in advance that I would be visiting for my own birthday, but there wasn't even a "congratulations." I wonder if there are people who stretch their budget to stay at such a luxury property for a special occasion. Additionally, there was a noticeable lack of communication between the staff, and I often found myself asking "why?" which is quite disappointing for a luxury property. However, in terms of appearance and customer service, I think it was outstanding to the point where there is nothing to complain about. The person who took care of our meals (Nakaisan?) was particularly wonderful, and I actually intended to make this my regular property, requesting the same person each time, but since it was a bit different from what I expected, I probably won't be returning.

Great satisfaction
As always, I was rejuvenated both physically and mentally at this Property, where warm hospitality is extended. It is certainly not cheap, but I definitely want to visit again. This time, it was the season for new rice, and the combination with grilled salmon at breakfast was superb. Although it was a one-night, two-day stay, it was a sufficiently relaxing and happy time.

I was healed.
My husband and I stayed as a gift from our children to celebrate each of our special occasions. We were able to spend meaningful time before dinner by strolling through the vast garden and enjoying the open-air bath in our room, as check-in was as early as 1 PM. The moss on the approach to the entrance was so beautiful that it left me enchanted. I have stayed at other Relais & Châteaux accommodations several times, but the decor, food, and hot springs were all wonderful, making it one of the places I definitely want to revisit. The smiles and service of the staff were also excellent, making it a truly healing stay. Check-in is at 1 PM and check-out is at 11 AM. During that time, I felt that the efforts of the staff to keep the vast grounds and the interior clean must be tremendous. We will definitely visit again. Thank you very much.

A hospitable inn
Everywhere, I could feel the hospitality intended for the guests, and I had a pleasant stay. Check-in was at 1 PM, and I was able to leisurely stroll through the vast garden, take a relaxing bath, and spend time at ease until dinner. After dinner, I enjoyed a digestif in the lounge. Then, I took a dip in the open-air bath and looked up to see a sky full of stars, experiencing the best feeling. At check-out at 11 AM, there was a drink service while waiting for the bill! Also, the chilled water given as a souvenir was delicious. The hospitality from check-in to check-out was the best I've experienced at any inn I've stayed at before. I definitely want to stay again. Parent-child trip
The staff and the food were absolutely wonderful, making it a very satisfying one-night stay. However, there were some incidents such as stone tiles from the open-air bath in the room falling into the tub, towels left behind during cleaning, and the absence of toothpaste, but these were minor enough to be considered charming. I definitely want to visit this inn again. Thank you for the extraordinary experience.

I wanted to repeat my stay.
I stayed here for my birthday. It was my first time staying, and I spent one night in a special room. It's a wonderful place. The inn has an attractive design like an art museum. The tatami in the room was clean, and the bath was very spacious. Personally, having a stone sauna was a big plus. The food was delicious throughout, and the service was wonderful. Thank you for making it a wonderful day!
