    Great location

    The Hotel was excellent with a great location. The staff had a high level of hospitality. I enjoyed an elegant stay with a view of Kumamoto Castle. It was convenient as the airport bus departed from the bus stop in front of the Hotel.

    Stable and reliable comfort

    The group accommodation is available across the whole country, and while I have stayed at other Nikko Hotels before, this was my first time staying in Kumamoto. I have visited for meals several times but never for accommodation. The location is excellent, and the consistently high level of service ensures a comfortable stay. This time, I stayed here to complete procedures at Kumamoto City Hall. However, I was surprised to find that the hotel did not provide its original stationery or envelopes in the room, which I had assumed would be standard in any hotel. This caused some inconvenience as they were necessary. I recall that such items were provided at other Nikko Hotels where I previously stayed, so I felt assured beforehand. However, it became clear that even within a group accommodation chain, services may vary from one location to another.

    I had a comfortable stay.

    We stayed at the accommodation to attend a dinner show with my elderly mother. Thank you for your thoughtful services, such as providing a wheelchair and prioritizing parking. The bathroom was equipped with a washing area, making it easy to use, and we enjoyed a comfortable stay with a perfect view of Kumamoto Castle from the room window.

    Recently, I had business in Kumamoto and stayed at the accommodation with my husband. The staff in the lobby were all kind and wonderful. The room was clean and very comfortable to stay in. Additionally, I accidentally left something behind due to my carelessness, but when I called to inquire about it, they responded politely, which I greatly appreciated. I would love to use this accommodation again.

    Excellent service!

    The staff's service was excellent. I drove to Kumamoto and had trouble finding the hotel's parking lot, but they kindly guided me over the phone, which was very helpful. I would love to stay at Hotel Nikko Kumamoto again when I visit Kumamoto.

    As an established Hotel, I initially thought the Room interiors might be outdated, but they were beautifully renovated, very clean, spacious enough, and featured separate toilet and bathroom facilities for a comfortable stay. The Room also offered a stunning view of Kumamoto Castle, with the illuminated castle at night being particularly enchanting. This time, I invited my in-laws who greatly enjoyed the breakfast featuring a variety of delicious local Kumamoto dishes. The parking fee was around 2,000 yen per night but very convenient as it was within the Hotel premises. I would love to stay here again when visiting Kumamoto with my in-laws next time.

    I am a repeat guest.

    The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the city, with a contemporary art museum in the same building and an underground parking lot. The restaurant offers a special menu exclusively for guests, which we enjoyed during our stay. It was an incredibly affordable package that pleasantly surprised us. This is a well-established and reliable accommodation that you can truly trust. When you're tired, you can take care of most needs without even leaving the hotel. It's such a valuable place to have. However, if I may point out one minor issue: it seems like laminated notices on the guest room desks are increasing, creating an overly decorated look reminiscent of local government office counters. In the future, I hope for announcements to be presented on high-quality paper with a better texture or perhaps via tablets instead.

    It was excellent.

    This was my first stay at Nikko Kumamoto. The staff's service and smiles were exceptionally pleasant. It was a bit disappointing that adjusting the temperature of the bathroom in the guest room was not very intuitive.

    Among hotels in Japan, we offer hospitality that brings peace of mind.

    This hotel offers a truly comforting level of hospitality, making it one of the highly recommended accommodations. Compared to not only the Nikko Group but also other luxury hotels, the respect and care from the staff towards guests are deeply heartfelt. It’s a hotel that makes you want to say, "I'm home." The room I stayed in this time was equipped with Refa hair dryers and amenities, making bath time enjoyable. I will visit again!

    Excellent

    The service, cleaning, food, and facilities were all excellent, making my stay very comfortable. I especially liked the fluffy towels and the fact that the room had a bench instead of a sofa. Both the buffet and Japanese-style breakfast were great, so I recommend choosing a plan with breakfast included. The limousine bus to Kumamoto Airport departs right in front of the hotel, which is very convenient. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Kumamoto!

    The service, cuisine, and rooms were all excellent!

    This was my second stay. As with the previous visit, the staff's courteous service was excellent, and I had a comfortable experience from check-in to check-out. I chose the breakfast buffet, which offered a wide variety of delicious options. The made-to-order omelet prepared right in front of me was especially outstanding! The guest room, including the bathroom area, was very clean, and with a Refa showerhead provided, even someone like me with sensitive skin could enjoy a comfortable bath time. In the evening, I fully enjoyed Kumamoto's nightlife at an izakaya located on Kamitori Street near the Hotel. I am very satisfied and will definitely stay again!

    A Hotel You'll Want to Stay at Again and Again

    I travel for work from Hokkaido to Okinawa and stay at various Hotels, but Hotel Nikko Kumamoto stands out with excellent staff service from check-in to check-out, making my stay completely stress-free. The Room is comfortable, allowing me to rest well. When in Kumamoto, Hotel Nikko Kumamoto is my only choice. Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to try their meals yet, but I hope to do so someday. It’s always truly comfortable here.

    First visit to Kumamoto, and I chose Hotel Nikko Kumamoto for its excellent location and facilities. As expected, the location was great, and the service was pleasant. From the room, I could see Kumamoto Castle, which was the purpose of this trip, and enjoyed the wonderful view from the 13th floor. Adjusting the air conditioning in the room felt a bit challenging due to typical hotel controllers, but it wasn’t a major issue. The bathroom and sink area were well-maintained with no shortage of amenities. The free Wi-Fi worked well in the room but was unavailable during breakfast—possibly due to separate facilities. At the breakfast buffet venue, there were no designated entry or exit points for getting food. This caused congestion as people entered from both directions (restaurant entrance side and seating area), leading to long waits at times. I believe this can be resolved by either consolidating dish/cutlery stations or placing directional signs for food lines—please consider addressing this issue. What made me happy was that despite unstable weather conditions across Kyushu with linear rainbands forming frequently, when I requested a late checkout on my departure day (knowing it might not be possible), they kindly accommodated an extra hour free of charge based on their reservation status. If I visit Kumamoto again in the future, I would love to stay here once more! Thank you very much for your continued hospitality!

    Even among Hotel Nikko locations, they vary by region. Hotel Nikko Kumamoto is considered top-notch in every aspect.

    It was an elegant trip with my 80-year-old mother.

    Visited with my 80-year-old mother by car to see my son who moved away for his studies. We stayed for a Multiple Night Stay of 2 nights. 【Parking】The parking lot shared with the Hotel was used, costing ¥2,200 per night. It allowed unlimited in-and-out access, which was very convenient for this trip. 【Breakfast】There were Japanese-style and buffet options available. Initially planning to try the Japanese-style breakfast on the second day, we ended up choosing the buffet both days at my mother's request because she loved the watermelon so much. My mother enjoyed an omelet made by the chef and was touched when he remembered her saying, "It’s a Multiple Night Stay." I leisurely enjoyed breakfast with dishes like dried fruit and Chinese cabbage salad, vegan curry, mustard lotus root, and more. 【Room】We stayed on the 13th floor out of 14 floors with a view of Kumamoto Castle—an open and pleasant sight. When I informed them that my son would stay for one night as well just a day before arrival, they smoothly changed our room from a twin to one accommodating three people without any issues. The shower and bathtub were separate and spacious. This Hotel holds special memories as it was where we visited on a family trip when my eldest son was just 1 year and 2 months old—it’s where he took his first steps! Even after 18 years, it remains deeply memorable; seeing the flickering flames in the lobby brought back those moments like time travel. The hospitality of all Hotel staff added charm to our journey as well. Our hearts were filled during this wonderful two-night stay in Kumamoto! I look forward to visiting again with my mother someday soon—thank you very much!

    This was my first stay. The view of Kumamoto Castle from the room was very beautiful. As I was sightseeing from morning to night this time, I did not have meals at the hotel, but I would love to try them next time. Also, thank you for your assistance and detailed information at the front desk.

    Great choice!

    Kumamoto offers long-established hotels such as Castle Hotel and ANA Hotel, and it’s hard to choose between them, but the newer Nikko Hotel felt particularly comfortable. For dinner, I dined at the Chinese restaurant within the hotel. Both the dishes and the attentive service from staff were excellent, leaving me very satisfied.

    As expected, a long-established Hotel in Kumamoto City.

    This Hotel is located in a bustling downtown area, about 20 minutes by tram from Kumamoto Station. Although I was initially concerned due to its distance from the station and its age, upon arrival, I found it to be very clean despite its historical charm. The Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I enjoyed both breakfast and the Hotel bar; the staff's hospitality was excellent, and both the food and drinks were delicious. The atmosphere allowed for a relaxing experience. For breakfast, there was a choice between a buffet or Japanese set meal—I chose the buffet. Despite being on a lower floor, the venue was spacious with plenty of seating. The breakfast featured an extensive variety of local Kumamoto ingredients that were all delicious and made for an enjoyable start to my day. This is truly an exceptional Hotel where I would love to stay again!

    Relax and stay close to Kumamoto Castle.

    Located very close to the station, the quiet guidance and comfortable distance in their service allowed me to relax and rest my body. From the Room, I could enjoy a view of Kumamoto Castle, which is illuminated until 11 PM, showcasing its majestic appearance. However, it was a bit unfortunate that the large ginkgo trees slightly obstructed the view of the castle. In the first-floor lobby, there is a flickering fire display. It would have been nice if chairs were placed closer around it for guests to sit comfortably. The calming effect could stimulate parasympathetic nerves, helping with relaxation and even enhancing appetite.

    Reliable Accommodation

    Using a card key for the elevator is inconvenient. The Room is clean. Amenities are good. Not being able to watch YouTube on the TV is a personal downside.

    A well-maintained Hotel in the center of Kumamoto.

    Located in the bustling tram street of central Kumamoto City, the guest rooms are quiet. The curtains have high blackout performance, allowing for a restful sleep until the alarm goes off. It was an affordable Plan for weekday business use, but parking costs ¥2,200 per night, which felt slightly expensive. Although initially a bit hard to find, the basement level 2 parking area offers spacious spots once you get there. Security guards and staff are always present at both the main and back entrances of the Hotel, discreetly monitoring comings and goings for added safety. The guest room cleaning was generally satisfactory with a sense of cleanliness; however, non-packaged slippers placed on a shelf reflected cultural differences in cleaning practices. Other than that minor point, everything else was well-maintained.
