    Truly exceptional

    This is my second stay following 2024. The Modern Suite had an excellent layout, and the facilities were absolutely wonderful. I was able to enjoy a very comfortable stay, and I believe the sleep quality was exceptional. One minor disappointment was that, as I mentioned to the front desk staff during checkout, there was peeling wallpaper at the seam on the ceiling near the foot of the bed. When lying in bed, this peeling wallpaper was quite noticeable, which I found unfortunate. The breakfast selection and taste were both outstanding.

    Unchanging Hospitality

    Thank you for always taking care of us whenever we visit Kyoto. This time, during the cherry blossom season in April, despite the many visitors from both Japan and abroad, the quality of service remained as meticulous and attentive as ever, for which we are deeply grateful. The breakfast, both Japanese and Western options, was as delicious as always and something we look forward to every time.     Thank you very much for your hospitality. You kindly stored our luggage before check-in and brought it to the room. Additionally, we were delighted to be upgraded to a higher-grade room as it was available. It was our first experience, and we truly appreciated it. Thank you so much. If I may suggest, there was a slight odor from the bathroom drain, which could be considered for future improvements. Thank you again for your excellent service during our stay.

    京都旅行に苦い思い出

    Not recommended.

    This property is popular among foreign guests, but I was unaware that the breakfast start time had been moved earlier, so I couldn't have breakfast. I will not use this place again, nor recommend it to our group company. Although an apology was offered, I was shocked by the discount provided for breakfast.

    I had a comfortable stay.

    The bathroom, shower, and toilet are separate, making them easy to use, and the Room has a calm atmosphere for a relaxing stay. Located near Kyoto Station, I stayed here the night before to catch an early morning Shinkansen. It is a very convenient Hotel.

    Part of Kyoto Station?

    It was my first stay. The accommodation was so close to Kyoto Station that it felt like part of the station, making it very convenient. They upgraded the room I had reserved because there was availability!

    It was excellent.

    I have stayed at the Thousand next door before, but this is a historic and classic hotel. For those who prefer modern and new accommodations, the Thousand is recommended, while those who appreciate classic charm will enjoy this one. While many old buildings and facilities are being replaced with new ones, it seems that this hotel has chosen to preserve its history, which I believe is valuable. Such splendid craftsmanship cannot be recreated today. Although there may be signs of aging, it adds character to the place. I hope it will be well-maintained and continue for a long time. I stayed in a 23-square-meter room. There was a sofa in the back along with a round table, which was convenient. The room did not have a desk, so it might be slightly inconvenient for those who need to work; however, you can still manage using the sofa and table. The toilet has been renovated and raised by about 7cm; as a result, the seat is higher than usual and your heels may not touch the floor comfortably. It’s not an issue for short stays but could be something to note if you are particular about toilets. The staff's service was satisfactory overall. There were many foreign guests staying here as well; they seemed affluent on average, giving an impression of good clientele quality—almost like being in an overseas hotel. Although I usually choose newly opened or recently renovated hotels myself, staying at such historic accommodations occasionally offers refreshing change—it’s truly enjoyable! Thank you for your hospitality; I look forward to visiting again!

    I stayed here a year...

    I stayed here a year ago and was impressed by the excellent service from the front desk, cloakroom, and other Hotel staff, so I decided to stay again. This time as well, they greeted me with a smile whenever they noticed me. I also appreciated how they came out from behind the reception counter to assist me directly. I hope this level of service continues unchanged in the future.

    A Long-Awaited Stay

    I used to stay occasionally before COVID, but this was my first stay after the renovation. It was well done together with the newly built Thousand next door. Over 80% of the breakfast guests were inbound travelers, which surprised me, but all the staff handled everything appropriately and kindly, leaving a good impression. I look forward to staying again next time.

    It was a relaxing and good Hotel.

    Located right next to Kyoto Station, this Hotel offers a very convenient location. Although I initially planned to travel by train, work required me to drive instead. Driving in Kyoto city was a bit stressful, and I got slightly confused at the intersection near the Hotel but managed to arrive without any issues. I had some trouble finding the front desk but was guided promptly and checked in smoothly. There are shared areas with The Thousand Hotel, which caused slight confusion as well. The front lobby floor features a large standing lamp at its center within an open atrium space, creating a calm atmosphere despite being popular among international travelers. The Room showed some signs of age but was well-maintained and comfortable with no unpleasant aspects. It was bright and spacious enough for a pleasant stay. I appreciated that the toilet and bathroom were separate—a layout I prefer. Despite being close to the station, there were no disturbances from outside noise. While there wasn’t much of a view from my Room, it overlooked the Hotel’s chapel rather than neighboring buildings, avoiding any sense of confinement. Breakfast at the Hotel buffet offered an extensive menu that was delicious and satisfying. Many international guests were enjoying their meals cheerfully without making it feel crowded or hectic. This is an elegant Hotel with great ambiance; I would love to stay here again in the future! Thank you very much!

    This is the Hotel I ...

    This is the Hotel I always use when traveling to Kyoto, and I stayed here again this time. The Hotel is always a quiet space, which I personally enjoy very much. It’s helpful that you can leave your luggage even if you arrive before the check-in time. This time, upon entering the Room, I was delighted to find a small message along with flowers and sweets. If I visit Kyoto again, I would love to stay here once more. Thank you very much!

    Comfortable

    Conveniently located near Kyoto Station. Luggage can be stored before check-in time and also after check-out on the same day. The service from the Hotel staff was not excessive, and their greetings, interactions, and actions were pleasant. The room and bathroom were clean (personally, I found the bed firmness comfortable for a good night's sleep), making for a pleasant stay. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options. The seasoning, ingredients, and presentation were well thought out, making it easy to eat and delicious. Although there were few types of jam available, I would love to come back for another meal. A Hotel I would like to stay at again. Thank you very much!

    Hotel in the best location for sightseeing in Kyoto!

    1 minute walk from Kyoto Station Central Exit! It takes at most 4-5 minutes to arrive after exiting the Shinkansen ticket gate! I think it's the best location for sightseeing in Kyoto. There are taxis stationed within the Hotel, so there's no need to go out and hail one, allowing you to act as you wish. I come to Kyoto every year, and while I've chosen various hotels before, recently this has become my only choice. The bath that concerns travelers is not just a bathtub but a "bath" with a drain. You can shower freely without worry. I always include breakfast, but after 5-6 nights it does get a bit repetitive... I guess that's inevitable~ The response of the Hotel staff is satisfactory! (Compared to before, it has improved significantly. It seems like they have been trained well~) One thing that caught my attention was why they have check-in machines that seem difficult for guests to operate alone~ I think having the Hotel front desk handle check-ins gives more of a luxury feel, provides reassurance, and leaves a good impression~ They seem to have space for it too; maybe that's how it used to be in the past—perhaps it's just how times change~ I would rate this Hotel 90 out of 100 points!

    I stayed in the Grand Comfort Deluxe Twin.

    The separate type with a divided bath, washroom, and toilet was a very user-friendly Room. The buffet-style breakfast had a wide variety of options, and every menu item was delicious. I am impressed that the staff properly looked at us and greeted us when passing by the front desk during outings or breakfast. I was able to spend my time leisurely. Thank you very much.

The breakfast buffet is excellent, and we enjoy it every time—delicious! Savoring Western liquor surrounded by the grandeur of the lobby and numerous intriguing books is also superb!     Absolutely amazing!

    I stayed in the Garden Junior Suite. The bathroom with a washing area, toilet, and sink were all separate, and the Room was spacious and impeccably clean. The water pressure in the shower was more than sufficient, and the sink was very convenient for washing my face. The staff were courteous, the meals were delicious, and I would definitely love to stay again!!

    Kyoto Stays常宿

    When visiting Kyoto, I always use this property as my regular stay. I travel by car, and parking is convenient and easy. I am always warmly welcomed, and last time, I was grateful to be guided to an upgraded room. I have made a reservation for my visit next month. Thank you for helping make my Kyoto trip enjoyable.

    It is a wonderful Hotel.

    First of all, the staff's hospitality is excellent. The Room is clean and the bath is spacious. The breakfast buffet is quite high level. I also went to the bar, and the variety is incredibly large, affordable, and the staff is excellent. It was the best among the places I've stayed in recent years. I will come again.

    Favorite Hotel

    This is my favorite hotel in Kyoto. Due to the recent increase in inbound tourists, I hadn't visited in a while, so this was my first stay in two years. It was indeed a wonderful stay. The check-in reception seemed to be handled by a newcomer, so it took a little time, but they were very earnest, which was endearing. This time, I chose a plan with breakfast included, so I asked for the less crowded time and went to the venue accordingly, allowing me to enjoy a leisurely meal. Everything was delicious. I also appreciated the room having a trash bin for sorting waste, as I usually separate it myself somewhat arbitrarily. It would be even better if they could provide hand soap in the toilet. Since the city center still seems crowded with tourists, I will come back again for another hotel stay.

    The Room was spacious and clean. Dinner was a buffet. It was so delicious that we had the buffet on the second day as well. Breakfast also had a wide variety. It is close to the station and recommended.

    Good value for money

    Close to Kyoto Station, although the building is old, the interior of the Hotel has been renovated and is comfortable, so I have used it several times attracted by the reasonable rates. Relax by watching the Shinkansen come and go from the guest room, and waking up to the sound of the train in the morning is also enjoyable. If there is a luxurious breakfast buffet, it seems like it would be crowded with long waiting times, but I was able to have a leisurely breakfast without any queues. The omelet with dashi from the live kitchen is also delicious. In Kyoto, where Hotels are mostly filled with inbound tourists, Japanese people often feel out of place, but here, there was a good balance of Japanese and diverse international guests (depending on the time of stay), making for a pleasant stay.

    The quality has returned↑

    This time, the front desk staff at check-in was refreshing. Although I thought I was getting used to the temporary full automation of check-in and the difficulties with kanji conversion, it seems that the goodness of the employees has returned. The Room has always been nice, and the breakfast seems to have gotten a bit closer to the time I liked it the most. I felt that it would be nice to have a little more variety in the Japanese menu, but the omelet with dashi was made by a kind person. Since the grave is in Kyoto, I go there five times a year, and I always want to stay here at Century.

    Conveniently located near the station.

    We spent the New Year as we did last year. The staff's hospitality was also good. If I were to mention a downside, it would be the moldy smell of the shower curtain and the lack of deodorant spray in the closet. There is still a risk of infectious diseases, so it would be appreciated if it were available in the room. There seemed to be many foreign guests, but the hotel staff's efficiency in handling inbound guests was very impressive. I will stay again.

    Conveniently located near the station.

    A great location, just a 2-minute walk from the station. The lobby is the main feature with its atrium and beautiful Christmas decorations. The Room was relatively compact. It was clean and pleasant. Since it was a Room with only a shower room, it might be cold in winter. There was no mobile charger in the Room, so I borrowed one, and the response at the front desk was very quick and good. I used the breakfast service, but the variety was limited? The ingredients were fresh. The bar was dimly lit, creating a nice atmosphere. It is on the same floor as the lobby, giving it a hidden feel? The taste was good.

    Too busy just to get the work done.

    I always use it because it is close to the station. This time it was Room 766. I forgot to mention it when I left, but the ceiling cross in the room was peeling and hanging down, it felt like an attic room. Also, I was told to present a meal ticket at breakfast, but when I checked in, I confirmed that it was a stay with breakfast, but I wasn't given one. Just confirming the room number and saying "Dozo" is strange. Next time, do I receive the room key and meal ticket as a set, or is the meal ticket not necessary? Is it because you are too busy? Everything is busy... but I want to stay firm. If you don't fix it at that moment, it will become a mess.

    I used it with a friend. I was very satisfied with the cleanliness of the Facility, the amenities, and the customer service. The meals were also varied and very delicious. They kept our luggage both before check-in and after check-out, and it was convenient as it is close to the station. I would like to use it again.

    Grand Comfort Deluxe Twin

    We stayed for two nights with three people. The room, which seems to have been recently renovated, was clean and comfortable. I thought it would be nice to have a deodorizing spray for clothes in the room, but perhaps if I had requested it, they might have delivered it to the room. We had breakfast and dinner at the buffet restaurant, and the variety was so extensive that everything was delicious, and I ended up eating too much. The roast beef from the live kitchen was especially tender and excellent. I was impressed that they quickly replenished the ingredients that were running low. Overall, I thought it was a very good hotel. If I have the opportunity to travel to Kyoto again, I would definitely like to stay. Thank you to all the kind hotel staff.

    Convenient location easily recognizable from Kyoto Station.

    Convenient location just a short walk from Kyoto Station. Although buses are difficult to use due to the impact of overtourism, it is also convenient for travel using the subway and other means. The breakfast venue was crowded with many foreign guests, but during this stay, it was not so crowded as to be troublesome. Meals, service, and rooms were all satisfactory, and even without local knowledge, one could stay with peace of mind. The high price may be unavoidable due to increased inbound demand, yen depreciation, inflation, and labor shortages, but it would be nice if it were a bit more affordable. Furthermore, it seems that the Accommodation Tax in Kyoto has become 1,000 yen.

    A spacious area with charming decor that makes you want to stay longer.

    I stayed at the Kyo Premium for 2 nights and 3 days starting from 11/7. It had been about 10 years since I last visited Kyoto, so I thought it would be nice to stay near the station, and chose this place. The convenience was beyond my imagination, and it was about a 1-2 minute walk to the station. While looking up at the Kyoto Tower, I quickly arrived at the entrance. As you pass through the entrance, a large space suddenly opens up in front of you. The high atrium is finished with a classic design, giving an indescribable sense of comfort. Even before checking in, my excitement was already high. It is very helpful that they can store your luggage before check-in. (They also store it after check-out) After returning from a stroll in Gion, I checked in at the front desk. The luggage I had left was already delivered to the room, which shows their hospitality. Since it had been a while since I visited Kyoto, I reserved a room called "Kyo Premium" that seemed to offer a sense of Kyoto. Upon entering, or rather even before entering, the entrance area was full of Kyoto-style touches. Even as a Japanese person, it was exciting. Inside, it is slightly elevated, giving a feeling of relaxation as if you have returned to your own home. The tatami flooring enhances relaxation, and the height of the floor chair is just right, making you feel at ease. The room, with its subdued impression from the arrangement of small items and the color tone of the wallpaper, is a perfect blend of classic Kyoto-style modern and new functional beauty. Perhaps the purple color is effective. Throughout the stay, it was a hotel where I constantly felt comfortable. I was lucky to be able to reserve this room. I would like to use it again next time.
