    The Room was so hot that I couldn’t sleep. I won’t stay at this Hotel again.

    Conveniently located near the station, this is my go-to Accommodation for trips to Kyoto.

    Conveniently located near Kyoto Station, and I really like it. The building seems older, but it has been renovated and feels luxurious, which is great. This time I chose an inexpensive Plan, so the bathroom was small and not very easy to use. Next time I plan to book a larger Room. Breakfast was plentiful and the egg station was nice, but this time there seemed to be a staffing shortage with only one cook, so there was always a long line and the taste wasn’t as good. The orange juice, salad, yogurt, and fruit were delicious, which was a plus. I stayed here for two nights, but since the restaurant I wanted to visit was closed for a holiday, I extended my trip. For the third night I tried another Hotel on the opposite side of the station, but this one was better in every way. I’d like to stay here again next time.

    Pleasant and attentive service

    We stayed for a Multiple Night Stay with an infant, and the service was very pleasant. We really appreciated that they provided a baby crib and were considerate about our seating at breakfast. We would like to stay again.

    The Room was very ch...

    The Room was very chic and lovely, but it was very disappointing that the bathroom had a strong musty mold smell. The location was great and the lunch buffet was delicious, so I would like to stay again.

    Excellent access from Kyoto Station

    I stayed here to enjoy shopping around Kyoto Station. Since it was a special occasion, I chose the Junior Suite, and it was a very spacious, clean Room—excellent overall. However, the view was unfortunately not great. That may be unavoidable in Kyoto. Because it was midsummer and I wanted to avoid walking above ground as much as possible, choosing this Accommodation was the right decision in that respect. That said, since it’s on the opposite side from Isetan, I had to push through heavy foot traffic every time, which was quite tiring. It was also disappointing that the lobby wasn’t really a space where you could relax, but overall I felt the quality was high.

    I’d love to stay here again—thank you.

    What stood out most during this stay was the hospitality of the staff. Their service was consistently attentive, and they would gently check on us and offer help before we even had to ask. At the same time, it never felt stiff or overly formal—their considerate care at just the right distance was truly comfortable. The day we arrived was extremely hot, and we were tired from a long journey. During check-in, while my wife was waiting on a chair in front of the front desk, a staff member brought her some cold tea. It was a small gesture, but it meant a lot after traveling in the heat. It felt as though service didn’t begin after completing check-in procedures; rather, from the moment we arrived at the Hotel, we were already being looked after as guests. We also appreciated how they accommodated our situation regarding parking and did their best to avoid adding any extra burden. Instead of simply explaining rules, they considered what could be done within them and responded thoughtfully—an approach I found very reassuring. The guest room was spacious as well, and it was easy to relax after coming back from outside. Being able to enjoy the drinks in the refrigerator freely was also a welcome service. The lobby isn’t overly large—just the right size for spending time quietly. Every so often a wind chime would softly ring “chirin,” and it felt wonderful to sit on the sofa listening to that sound. I genuinely enjoyed spending time at the Hotel itself. The location is also convenient—just a few minutes’ walk to Kyoto Station and Isetan. We could head out for sightseeing or shopping and return quickly whenever we got tired, which let us enjoy Kyoto while still taking our time to relax at the Hotel. Of course, both the Facility features and location were great—but what stayed with me most from this trip was truly the staff’s natural warmth and kindness. I believe it’s this kind of thoughtful care that makes you want to say, “I want to stay here again.” This is a Hotel I would gladly choose again when visiting Kyoto.

    It was very good.

    This was my first stay. The location was very convenient, close to the station, and having a parking lot was a big help. The Room was spacious and well equipped, but when I entered the Room I noticed a slight odor from the plumbing area. Also, after using the toilet, I could hear water trickling for a few minutes until the tank refilled; it didn’t bother me during the day, but at night it was quite noticeable because it was so quiet. I only had breakfast, but there was a wide variety of options, and the staff were attentive with well-timed refills. Everything tasted great and I was very satisfied. I usually don’t stay at the same Hotel again because I like trying different places, but this is one I would like to return to.

    Kyoto Century Hotel ...

    Kyoto Century Hotel is a historic Hotel, so I stayed with high expectations—and it turned out to be an even more wonderful stay than I had imagined. What especially stood out was when I passed a foreign staff member cleaning the hallway in the morning; they paused, smiled, and greeted me with “Good morning.” Even while busy, their courteous manner made for a very pleasant start to the day. Hospitality was evident in every staff member, and you can really feel how well their service training is established. It’s a Hotel I would definitely like to stay at again when visiting Kyoto.

    I was satisfied.

    This was my first stay, and the Room was kept very clean. I also had both dinner and breakfast at the Hotel and was very satisfied. For dinner, a staff member recommended the “ramen with porcini mushrooms,” which I ordered and thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you very much. I would like to stay here again when I visit Kyoto.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    Overall, I was satisfied. Thank you very much. Because it was so good, there were three points that stood out to me. I booked a Junior Suite Room during a time sale. 1) The Room was spacious and comfortable, but the Shinkansen passed frequently outside the window. The noise wasn’t unbearable, but it was disappointing for a Room of this type. 2) The step up to the toilet felt unsafe until I got used to it. 3) The fabric on the bed throw was peeling and looked like bugs, which I didn’t like. The cleaning was thorough, and otherwise it was a very comfortable Hotel. Thank you for taking care of me.

    I stayed here for the first time in 20 years.

    I stayed again after a while, and it was a very good Hotel, just as I remembered. The location is great and convenient for getting anywhere. Since I didn’t ask, they may have been available on request, but there were no facial cleanser or toner in the room, so I went to a nearby drugstore to buy some. Many other hotels provide basic skincare amenities. However, there are convenience stores and drugstores nearby, so it wasn’t a problem. The staff made a great impression as well, and it was an enjoyable trip.

    It was a comfortable stay.

    I was looking forward to staying here for the first time in 30 years, and it was just as I remembered—an excellent location, a dignified interior, and a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Since I had some time before check-in, I left my luggage and enjoyed some tea on my own at the Thousand next door. That evening I returned to the Hotel late and most nearby restaurants were already closed, so I asked at the front desk on the off chance and went to the bar inside the Hotel. It turned out to be a great choice. Even though it was close to closing time, they welcomed me warmly. The space was much larger than I expected and very comfortable, with an elegant bartender and pleasant staff providing wonderful service—and they even offered a guest discount—making it a truly happy night in Kyoto. The Room was simple, functional, and more than satisfactory, and I slept well. This time I happened to get a great last-minute deal at a reasonable price, which felt very lucky. If my budget allows again in the future, this is definitely a Hotel I would love to stay at again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    Room lighting

    I’m embarrassed to say this, but I couldn’t figure out the light switch in the entrance Room. It was too dark to read anything, and even after looking for the switch I couldn’t find it. Large Western-style Hotels may commonly use a system where you insert the key card to turn on the lights, but it was my first time staying at a Hotel like that, so I would have appreciated an explanation at check-in. It would have been even better if the breakfast menu had been a bit more substantial. Also, perhaps it is designed for international guests, but the dining area felt like a private booth and the air conditioning was too strong, so it was cold. The service was fine, and it seems staff training—including for international staff—is thorough. Thank you very much.

    We had a comfortable stay.

    I first stayed here when I visited Kyoto for my son’s wedding, and the staff’s attentive service made my stay very comfortable. Since then, I have stayed here every time I come to Kyoto. The Facility is clean, and I was able to relax again this time as well. I would like to stay here again.

    The Comfort of Kyo Premium

    This is my favorite Hotel where I can always stay comfortably, and I visit throughout the year in every season. This time, I stayed in the newly opened Kyo Premium Room. Like a traditional Japanese house, it has a small raised entryway area, so I could take off my shoes right away and enjoy the pleasantly fresh wooden scent of the floor. There was also a Japanese tea setup, and with wood as the main element of the interior, it felt just like relaxing at home—my travel fatigue completely disappeared. I think it is a wonderful space where not only overseas guests but also Japanese guests can truly relax. I look forward to staying again.

    Two years ago, after discussing it with my wife, we decided to make Kyoto Century Hotel our regular Hotel whenever we stay in Kyoto. The comfortable lobby, the easy-to-live-in Room, the layout of the building up to the 6th floor, the delicious dining options, and the proximity to JR Kyoto Station—there is simply no reason not to choose it. Above all, the calm, slightly retro atmosphere of this long-established Hotel is perfect. We look forward to staying with you as our regular Hotel in Kyoto for many years to come.

    New and Comfortable

    Whenever I manage to take a break, I visit Kyoto. After reading Reviews, I stayed at this Hotel near Kyoto Station for the first time—and it was absolutely the right choice for a perfect day off. The Room I used was new with a modern Japanese design, and taking off my shoes at the entrance, the natural wood underfoot felt wonderfully comfortable. The staff were cheerful and courteous, which helped me relax. If you have plans or places you want to explore around Kyoto Station, this location is ideal. Just note that the parking may be shared with “Thousand.” It’s a Hotel I’d love to visit again.

    Both the service and the facilities are excellent.

    I also made a Reservation on behalf of someone visiting Kyoto. Thank you for your courteous support, even on short notice. They were happy with how clean the Room was. They also told me that the ice cream I recommended was delicious.

    If only there were a USB outlet…!

    We stayed in a newly renovated Room this time and had a very comfortable stay. The bathroom has a washing area, the toilet is separate, and the sink is outside, which was great because we could wash our hands right away after returning. If I had to ask for one thing, it would have been nice to have USB outlets as well as standard power outlets. We would definitely like to stay again.

    When staying in Kyoto, peace of mind matters too.

    I stayed for one nig...

    I stayed for one night. The staff were very polite and wonderful, and I had a pleasant stay. I noticed a few things in the Room and would like to share them. There were tea bags (green tea and roasted green tea) in the Room, but there were no teacups, so I had to use a coffee cup. It would be nice if teacups for tea could be provided as well. The bathtub did not seem to be cleaned thoroughly, as there were small black spots left behind, so I ended up washing the bathtub before using it. Because the station is close and the railway tracks are nearby, I was bothered by the sound of passing trains. Even late at night—possibly freight trains—the noise wasn’t extremely loud, but it was noticeable each time they passed. I could also hear sounds from the neighboring Room, such as opening and closing what seemed like a closet. Since this was one of the better Rooms in the Hotel, I felt that improved soundproofing would make it even better. These are minor points, but I hope they will be helpful for future improvements.

    Foreign-friendly?

    I accidentally entered from the neighboring wedding venue and got lost like in a maze. I think it would be better if there were a few more signs. The luxurious atrium lifted my mood. The Room was clean, everyone at the Hotel was pleasant, the food was delicious, and the bed was comfortable—I slept well. Overall, it felt designed for taller guests, so as someone short, I found it a bit difficult to use.

    It was very comfortable.

    I was worried about the crowds during Golden Week in Kyoto, but choosing this Hotel with an excellent location made it easy to get around by both bus and train, and we had a very satisfying trip. The morning buffet was delicious, and the experienced staff provided courteous service, making for a pleasant start to the day. The younger front desk staff also helped us earnestly, which we truly appreciated. This may be specific to families with small children like ours, but it would have been even better if there were a coin laundry and a microwave. Overall, we were more than 90% satisfied.

    I stayed here again for the first time in 30 years.

    Over the past few years, I’ve visited Kyoto a few times a year. Although I had considered your Hotel, I usually chose a property directly connected to the station because I worried about sudden rain. This time, however, I stayed at Hotel Keihan Kyoto Century. I stayed here with my late wife when we were newlyweds. As a treat for myself after being busy since February, I made a Reservation for the renovated Kyoto Premium Room. As expected for a newly renovated Room, it was very clean. I booked with breakfast and used it on the morning of day 2 and day 4. The food was delicious and satisfying, but it was the same menu both times, which was a bit disappointing. Also, there were many international guests who may not have been familiar with how things work, so it felt slightly difficult to move around. Regarding the Room: on the first day, I noticed the step up into the toilet and bathroom area. It may be unavoidable due to the layout, but I tripped several times. I got used to it from day 2 onward. The drawstring on the pouch containing the hair dryer was soaking wet. I’m not sure whether I got it wet or if it was already like that. I don’t think I would have done so since it was placed on the shelf under the sink. Also, I declined sheet changes and requested only towel replacement, but apparently trash is not collected in that case. I should have mentioned that as well. Overall, each staff member’s service was good, and it wasn’t as far from the station as I expected—so I’d like to stay again. (Though Kyoto Premium feels a bit luxurious for one person.) Thank you for taking care of me over these four days.

    In Kyoto, where over...

    In Kyoto, where overseas Hotel brands are rapidly expanding, I heard that the long-established Century Hotel had renovated its rooms to feature a stronger Japanese style, so I stayed there right away. However, I was often assisted by foreign staff; although they could speak Japanese, they did not anticipate guests’ needs or read the situation well, so the heartfelt hospitality felt incomplete. Even if only the rooms emphasize a Japanese atmosphere, it is disappointing when the service does not reflect true Japanese hospitality.

    It was exactly as described in the Review—absolutely fantastic.

    Although it’s just a short walk from Kyoto Station, once inside it was quiet and felt like a different world. The lobby was calm, and the front desk staff greeted us with warm smiles and courteous service, which made us feel at ease. The Room was clean, bright, and extremely comfortable. On top of that, the hair dryer and curling iron were from the brand my daughter had been interested in—they were so easy to use that she literally squealed with excitement. Both my daughter and I said we definitely want to stay again next time, add breakfast, and relax more. We were truly moved throughout our stay.

    I stayed for two nights. It had been a while, so there were some changes, such as amenities no longer being placed in the Room, but everything was very clean and I had a comfortable stay. The staff from Asian countries who looked after my luggage were all kind and made me feel welcome. The front desk staff could have provided a bit more explanation at times, but it didn’t leave me with any unpleasant feelings. Above all, I liked the calm atmosphere and how close it is to the station. It was convenient for getting anywhere. I would like to stay again. Thank you very much.

    It was a very nice Room.

    I was upgraded because there was an issue with the Room I had reserved. However, I checked in after 10:00 p.m. due to work, and since I had to travel the next day, I checked out shortly after 9:00 a.m. following breakfast, so I wasn’t able to fully enjoy the lovely Room at my leisure. Still, the staff’s courteous service made me want to stay again. It’s very close to Kyoto Station, yet far enough from the bustle of the station area, which was great. I went to breakfast first thing in the morning, but it was extremely crowded because a large group of international guests arrived at the same time; still, it was delicious. Next time, I’d like to take my time and enjoy it. Thank you very much.
