    It was a wonderful time of relaxation. Thank you very much.

    I had been busy without a break for the past year, leaving me physically and mentally exhausted. Finally, I managed to take some time off for myself and decided to stay at Otowa no Mori in Hayama, a place I’ve always loved, to relax in a beautiful setting. The staff were all warm and attentive with just the right amount of care, which made me feel truly happy. Although it was unfortunately rainy during my stay, the ocean view from my Room was still stunning. Perhaps due to the weather, I had the infinity spa all to myself, which was incredibly refreshing. Thank you for accommodating my requests regarding pillow height and meals so kindly. It was so comfortable that I extended my stay for an additional night. The French course dinner on both nights offered delightful variations and was absolutely delicious. I would love to visit again from time to time. Thank you very much for your thoughtful hospitality!

    The Perfect Solo Trip

    This stay was not for any special anniversary, but simply because I had business in Kamakura and decided to stay somewhere nearby. I indulged in a luxurious 2-night stay. For both nights, I enjoyed French dinners. On the first night, although it started late, every dish was exquisite, and the wine selected by the sommelier was exceptional! On the second night, dinner began earlier while watching the sunset. The meal surpassed even that of the previous day! After experiencing the deliciousness of Miura vegetables on the first day, a staff member kindly informed me about a nearby store where they are sold. This led me to do some shopping during my free time on the second day as if stocking up supplies. As someone who works in customer service myself, I found their "hospitality" incredibly inspiring and truly comforting. Recently, I've been having trouble with my throat and couldn't speak much; otherwise, I would have loved to chat more with their wonderful staff members. They were so delightful that it made me reluctant to leave at all. Next time, I'd love to visit again with my mother! Thank you for providing me with an unforgettable solo trip experience!

    For celebrating my wife's birthday

    I stayed for the first time in early February. Spacious room, amazing view, and delicious meals. Both my wife and child were absolutely delighted. My wife especially loved the free-flow service at the lounge. I definitely want to visit again for a relaxing stay!

    First Stay After Renovation

    This is my first stay since the accommodation was renovated. The interior has been beautifully refurbished, and the room offers a luxurious amount of space. The highlight is undoubtedly the view from the bathroom. Bathing while gazing at the ocean is simply amazing—it feels like being in a pool. All beverages in the room are complimentary, including beer and Perrier juice, with a wide selection that adds to the satisfaction along with excellent amenities. I was particularly impressed by how comfortable the bathrobe was to wear. Usually, they tend to be stiff, but this one was made of soft material and so comfortable that I could even sleep in it effortlessly. However, I did miss the retro radio from before the renovation; it would be nice if it could make a comeback someday. Overall, I am very satisfied with my room experience. Additionally, drinks at the bar were also free of charge this time; although I didn’t use it on this occasion, it now has an ambiance similar to that of a club lounge floor. Unfortunately, though, I found out that their café was closed during my visit—this was disappointing as I used to frequently enjoy their paella there and loved coming back for more. While everything before renovation had its charm too, there’s something special about this new style post-renovation which makes me appreciate both experiences uniquely. Staying just one night felt insufficient—I plan on booking multiple nights next time for an even fuller experience! It seems there’s also another café near Chojagasaki; I'll make sure to visit next time as well!

    Stay with Your Beloved Dog

    I stayed to celebrate my dog's and sister's birthdays. The room was spacious, and above all, it offered a panoramic view of the sea. The weather was nice, and we could see Mount Fuji clearly. I sat on the sofa on the large terrace of the room and gazed at the sea with my dog. My dog seemed very happy and walked around the spacious room. Also, the food was very delicious. The luxurious menu for dogs was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel. They also carefully accommodated our dietary preferences. The only issue was that the bathtub is shaped like a chair, making it difficult to soak up to your shoulders; I wished I could stretch out more comfortably in it. Additionally, since it's winter now it's fine but if you bring a dog in summer you might need various cooling items due to heat so having a slightly larger refrigerator or freezer in the room would be helpful as well. It would be appreciated if you could consider this feedback for reference. Nevertheless, both my dog and sister were very pleased with their birthday celebration, allowing us all to spend happy times together. We definitely want to visit again someday soon! Thank you very much!

    We had a wonderful experience.

    We stayed as a couple. The stylish building reminiscent of Europe, the well-equipped Facility, the warm hospitality of the staff, the leisurely time on the terrace while sipping wine, the wonderful dinner and thoughtfully paired exquisite wine pairing, relaxing breakfast in our Room, and the ocean view spreading out before us all became unforgettable wonderful memories. I wish there had been a cosmetic set that my wife liked for me as well; it would have been perfect.

    To the Memorable Hayama

    In anticipation of moving to the countryside in spring, we decided to spend this New Year's nearby and leisurely, choosing Hayama, a place of fond memories from my husband's student days. The No.1 spot in Hayama is undoubtedly "Otowa no Mori." The welcome drink at check-in was also very delicious. The moment we entered the Room, we couldn't help but exclaim "Wonderful!" as we were moved by the scenery. The weather was great, and the sunset was magnificent. For dinner, we had teppanyaki, and we were surprised by the homemade salt that enhanced the flavor of the ingredients. The pairing wine was also excellent. This is a wonderful Hotel where you can enjoy an extraordinary experience just an hour from the city center. I believe many people would want to return. It was truly the best. Thank you for taking care of us!

    I had a very elegant stay.

    I was happy to see the sunset right in front of the sea. The dinner was also very elegant and delicious. The service was very pleasant. The Room was a Jacuzzi Suite, but the jacuzzi was only outside and required swimwear, so I couldn't use it. The lovely bath inside was not a jacuzzi, so if I had to say, it would have been even better if the bath inside was a jacuzzi.

    It was a wonderful trip with exquisite cuisine, stunning views, and attentive service!

    I used it for a trip to celebrate a friend's birthday! My friend has a wheat allergy, and dining options are usually quite limited, but this French restaurant was very attentive to allergies, and my friend was satisfied, saying, "I was able to enjoy the meal without feeling burdened by my allergy!" Also, the Room, lobby, and spa all offered great views, allowing us to fully enjoy the scenery of Hayama. I plan to use this Hotel again for another important event. Thank you very much!

    Highly professional and reliable service

    The hotel staff provides attentive service, whether inside the property or in the parking lot, wherever you meet them! This time, we stayed with our 2-year-old child and 2-year-old dog, and we are grateful for the kind interaction with our child. It was a satisfying one-night stay for all three of us plus our beloved dog. We were satisfied with the location, room amenities, and meals. Above all, we were pleased with the calm service provided by all the staff. When I went out for a morning walk and was taking a break, I was asked if I would like a newspaper along with a greeting. Such thoughtfulness is truly appreciated. Thank you very much.

    It was a good Hotel that overturns the question, "Why bother staying in Hayama?"

    The room with a wonderful view and spaciousness, attentive service, and delicious meals make this a hotel I would like to use again. The special menu tailored to my wife's allergies was a one-of-a-kind item just for her, and she was moved and impressed even before the meal. The cuisine was authentic French, and the ingredients were superb and delicious. One point, the sauces of each dish were quite strong, and while I enjoyed them more with wine pairing, my wife, who can hardly drink alcohol, found the taste of the previous sauce lingering when she tasted the next dish, which made it a bit confusing for her. I felt that one of the two desserts could have been served between the main fish and meat dishes. The lavender pillow mist was also an impressive service. I was able to sleep soundly, enveloped in a pleasant fragrance. The staff's hospitality skills were very high and attentive, allowing us to have a truly relaxing stay. We agreed that next time we would like a room with a balcony. Thank you very much.

    I had a perfect holiday.

    As soon as you enter, the vast ocean is right in front of you. The room has a full window view of the sea, with Oshima and the Izu Peninsula directly in front. It was a continuous healing experience. The staff's attention to the guests was impeccable, and I had a very comfortable stay. Moreover, the meals made me feel incredibly happy. Each dish was delicate, filled with admiration, surprise, joy, and deliciousness. Thank you very much. The breakfast I received via room service the next morning was also enjoyed slowly and deliciously while watching the sea. I was also able to see Mt. Fuji. It became one of my most memorable experiences.

    Stays in Hayama

    Thank you for your hospitality this time. I have stayed and dined here before, but the newly renovated room was spacious and stylishly elegant. The dinner was a wonderful course that I hadn't had in a while, and I was very satisfied with the delicious meal. I would like to visit again on another occasion.

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

    Stayed for one night as per my husband's long-standing wish. The high-quality service and the staff, mostly middle-aged, made our stay even more comfortable with their calm demeanor and warm words stemming from their age and experience. The food was also very delicious, with each dish reflecting the chef's skill and care, and the delicate presentation was wonderful. If I had to point out something, it was difficult to adjust the temperature of the bathtub faucet. The winter dawn sea view from the Room. It was the best!

    The best Hotel

    The room, meals, view, and staff are truly wonderful at this hotel. There is only one pet-friendly room, but our dog was able to stay comfortably. Although we had in-room dining, we were told it was the same cuisine as the restaurant, and for dinner, in particular, the staff brought each dish at intervals, explaining them while serving them warm. The sommelier also explained the wine to us. After dinner, we left our pet in the room and went to the lobby bar, where they asked about our preferences and made us delicious cocktails. When checking in, we drove up to the front of the room, and the staff helped us bring our luggage into the room. For pet walks, you can go outside within the premises as soon as you step out of the entrance. If I may say, it would be more comfortable if the width of the extra bed were a bit larger. I would like to use this hotel again. Thank you to all the staff.

    Thank you for satisfying us in almost every aspect.

    After spending 3 hours in traffic, we finally arrived and were impressed by the very quick and courteous response of the Hotel staff before we could even catch our breath. The ocean view Room, teppanyaki dinner, and bar were all excellent, but the only disappointment was the difficulty in adjusting the shower temperature. However, I think it is one of the best Hotels, close to perfect.

    The meals did not suit my taste.

    The facilities were very new and well-maintained, and the view was excellent. The room was somewhat plain, but the latest appliances showed consideration, and I thought the staff's hospitality was good. Although it's not a large hotel, we were able to spend our time comfortably. However, the seasoning of both dinner and breakfast did not suit us at all. My wife could hardly eat the meat dishes and desserts after the fish course at dinner, and I ended up eating for two in the latter half of the course. The breakfast view was also excellent, but neither of us could enjoy the galette. This was the first time we encountered such a situation despite staying at various hotels, and we were very confused. At the very least, I wish they had asked about the doneness of the meat beforehand. (My wife is not fond of meat that is too red.) Furthermore, even the regular coffee was very strong. (It was tough having no options other than illy. As a result, we couldn't use the coffee maker in the room at all.) Although we usually drink a lot of coffee, we couldn't handle this one and ended up requesting tea all the time. Judging from other reviews, it seems this is not a common issue, so perhaps it was just incompatible with our dietary preferences. Regarding the bath, we knew there was no large public bath, but it was quite inconvenient to use. The design was very stylish, but adjusting the shower temperature was difficult, as was adjusting the temperature for filling the bath. Overall, we concluded that we might not be the target customers. Hayama itself is a very nice place, so next time we plan to choose a place that suits us better.

    Disappointing hospitality

    I couldn't find any bad reviews, and since it's a long-established hotel in the Zushi Hayama area, I had high expectations, but it wasn't a property I would want to revisit. During the French dinner, after having a drink, a male staff member asked, "Shall I bring you some water?" When I said, "Please," he asked, "What kind of water would you like?" I was momentarily confused, wondering what he meant by "what kind," and when I asked if he meant hard or soft water, he said, "Hayama tap water, Fuji spring water, or Perrier." I instinctively thought "tap water" was a bit much, so I asked for Fuji spring water, but when I looked around, other guests were drinking "tap water" normally. Since my mother and I only ordered one drink each, they might have wanted us to order something else, but I think it's inappropriate to guide customers to order mineral water in this way. It left a bad impression. This male staff member also had other ways of speaking that were irritating, and remembering them still makes me feel uncomfortable. We had informed them in advance that my elderly mother would be coming in a wheelchair, and they had placed simple handrails in the room, which was helpful, but while moving around the hotel, not a single staff member offered to help us. When entering and exiting the auto-lock room, we couldn't keep the door open, which was very inconvenient. There was a high step to get to the sink and toilet in the room, making wheelchair movement impossible, so we had to go to the multipurpose toilet on the first floor, but until we checked out, no one helped us. Also, it's a mystery why they didn't eliminate the steps in the room even though it was renovated. This hotel seems to target weddings and their guests, and I felt that wheelchair users like us are not their target. As for the food, I couldn't find anything delicious except for the steak at dinner. Was it too avant-garde? The breakfast galette was made with oatmeal, but I wanted to eat it with buckwheat flour. It was a long-awaited trip with my mother, which I was looking forward to, but it was disappointing. I didn't feel any hospitality from the staff at this hotel. Or perhaps the service was different for the customers the hotel targets.

    The long-awaited Hotel

    During a previous visit to the building, a friend from Hayama took me to use the café and restaurant, and I always wanted to stay there. My wish came true, and I stayed with a friend on my birthday. I was completely satisfied with the hospitality and amenities. A friend living in Hayama surprised me by ordering a birthday cake, and I am grateful for the response. I was amazed by the fluffy texture of the bathrobe and thought it would be great if I could purchase it at the hotel. The nightwear was also made of soft gauze material, which I really liked. It was a hotel I would like to stay at again. No complaints at all!! Thank you very much.

    We had a very good time. This time, it was a trip with our family and our beloved Chihuahua-Dachshund mix, and the dog-friendly Room was spacious and comfortable. Our dog was running around from end to end. Dinner was a French course served in the Room. It was a rare experience, but it was nice to be able to relax and enjoy the meal without worrying about others, even with children. Our 3-year-old son surprisingly found things he could eat, making it a valuable opportunity for the family to enjoy French cuisine together. Conversations with the server were also enjoyable. Breakfast, with galette and pot-au-feu, was carefully prepared and delicious. The amenities were of good quality, making bath time pleasant. However, since it gets very dark outside at night, it might be better to enjoy the view during the day, morning, or evening. The refrigerator didn't have a wide variety, but you could drink what you liked for free. In addition to mineral water, there were stylish bottled beers and soft drinks. The location is right in front of the sea, making it a place that makes you want to take a walk. However, be careful as the crosswalk to the seaside is a bit away from the Hotel entrance. There is no place for children to play within the Facility, but we spent time climbing the stairs to the chapel outside and enjoying the view. On rainy days, it might be good to have your favorite toys. Perhaps due to the season, there were many spider webs around the chapel, so please be careful if you go. It's a Hotel we are talking about visiting again with my husband.

    A hotel where you can relax

    I think it's a perfect Hotel to relax and do nothing. Dinner was in a lovely space at the best table by the window with a great view, and we could faintly see Mt. Fuji. The sommelier was also kind and wonderful. Thank you for a pleasant time.

    I would like to visit again.

    I watched it on TV and stayed with a friend. The weather was unfortunate, but the view from the room was excellent. The food was also very satisfying. If I have one request, there was only one set of amenities. We shared one set between the two of us, but the amount was barely enough.

    The sea is right there.

    When you step out onto the terrace, you can clearly hear the sound of the waves, but once you close the window, you can't hear it at all inside the Room, so I was able to sleep well at night. What made me happiest was that they adjusted the portion size of my meal to half. During trips, I often worry about feeling bad for leaving food, but when I requested it in advance, they kindly accommodated me. I was really happy. Thank you very much. The Room was also very clean and comfortable. From the Hotel's private deck, the stars were clearly visible. I would like to come again and see the sea with a different expression.

    Relax and unwind

    Since it is nearby, I visited to have a relaxing stay with my daughter. The spa is not very spacious, so it might be a bit awkward if you are with other guests. Also, the changing room is too small and quite difficult to use. However, the warm hospitality of all the staff, the delicious meals, and the ocean view make it a perfect Hotel for a stay-in retreat where you do nothing. It is ideal for relaxing. I appreciate the careful attention to my dietary restrictions. I will visit again.

    The Charm of Hayama

    I visited for the first time. I chose it just because I wanted to stay at a nice Hotel without any prior knowledge of a place called Hayama, but location is important. I could see that all the staff were proud of their work. Thank you for the warm correspondence from the email exchanges before the stay. It became a very wonderful memory.

    Lovely dog room

    It was a truly wonderful Room with a nice view where you can feel the thoughtfulness of the dog-loving owner. Since we were a family of four, we booked another Room in the main building. The four of us enjoyed delicious French cuisine in the Room with our dog. Everything was delicious. We also ordered a meal for the dog, and although it felt expensive at 5000 yen, it was a wonderful meal that we found satisfactory. All the staff were pleasant, and we had a comfortable stay. We could also take our dog to the bar in a bag.

    Satisfied

    Thank you very much for your hospitality. It might be better to install a sensor at the entrance so that the staff can immediately notice when a car arrives. Thank you for adjusting the dinner time for us. Every restaurant staff member provided detailed explanations of each menu item. We were very satisfied with each carefully crafted dish. We could clearly see the chef's attention to detail. We will visit again.
