    Stayed on New Year's...

    Stayed on New Year's Eve. The prior communication was courteous, and they kindly provided a diaper bin for our child, which was helpful. Our child enjoyed playing table tennis on the same floor as the banquet hall before dinner. The roast beef at dinner was delicious, and the breakfast included New Year's dishes and ozoni, allowing us to enjoy the New Year's atmosphere (it would have been nice if there was a spoon where the chestnut kinton was placed at the buffet, as everyone seemed to have difficulty putting it on their plates). On New Year's Day, we were conveniently taken to Shimogamo Shrine by shuttle bus. The room had soft pillows, and it was a bit challenging to adjust the indirect lighting, but there was coffee available, and the elevator could only be used with a key card, which was good. The IKYU reservation was not eligible for Prince points, but the additional payment for the child's meal was eligible for the Prince member discount and member points. We would like to stay again during the New Year holidays.

    Even though it was a hidden Stays in Kyoto

    During the Showa 50s, when I spent four years in a university dormitory in Takagamine (now a sanctuary for ultra-luxury Stays), there were only the Kyoto Hotel and the Miyako Hotel in Kyoto, and there was talk of an ultra-luxury Hotel being built in the scenic area of Takaragaike. I remember being surprised that my living expenses at the time were thirty to forty thousand yen a month, while a night at the Takaragaike Prince was thirty thousand yen. As I grew older, I used it several times, and it was a hidden Property in Kyoto. There was a time when the dinner was surprisingly terrible, but due to my workplace connections, I was able to use it at a discount, and about three years ago, I enjoyed a Chinese course there for Christmas, which was very delicious. This time, I had a full-course Western meal, but I wasn't very impressed. I have no complaints about the staff's service. I also had breakfast at the same place, but I was overwhelmed by the number of Chinese guests. Has it ceased to be a quiet Property in Rakuhoku? Lastly, isn't the espresso coffee in the Room expired? Is it that old items remain because there are few users? I think it should be inspected. The Room and the bath were spacious and comfortable. Thank you very much.

    It was perfect for a...

    It was perfect for a relaxing Hotel stay. It has the feel of a classic first-class Hotel and I think it's cost-effective. On the other hand, there's nothing around unless you walk a bit. I was looking forward to the Murano Togo staircase, but it was hard to find and dark, so it felt like I shouldn't enter, which was disappointing. Breakfast in the lounge was cramped, and I had to line up to get food, so I gave up halfway. I think the scale of the place doesn't match the number of people. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay with first-class service.

    We had a wonderful time.

    This was my first stay, but as a Diamond member, my Room was upgraded, parking was free, and the amenities were great. The Facility was relatively clean, and being a historic Hotel, I felt a sense of history. The service was excellent, and I am very satisfied. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

    You can relax.

    I stayed on the club floor for the first time. The room was spacious and clean, the facilities were good, and I had a comfortable stay. The use of the club floor for breakfast and snacks was helpful. Around the area, Takaragaike Park was perfect for a morning walk, and the atmosphere was excellent.

    With my daughter

    Previously, before Christmas, the Christmas tree in the courtyard was luxurious and very beautiful, so I made a reservation wanting to see it with my daughter. The Christmas tree had a different charm, but it was sparkling beautifully at night. The French dinner at Itozakura was also delicious, allowing us to relax and rejuvenate.

    As expected of the Prince

    I always wanted to stay here once. I was able to enjoy a Kyoto-like experience away from the hustle and bustle of the city in a quiet setting. The hotel's service was as expected from Prince, meeting my expectations. This has become my regular Stays for trips to Kyoto.

    The magnificent view...

    The magnificent view from the 8th-floor room, the garden view from the lounge, the visit to the tea house, the nature interaction with a walk around Takaragaike, and the wonderful autumn leaves were all enjoyable. The staff, starting with the reception, provided pleasant service. The luggage shuttle service is very helpful. I would like to come back again and again.

    The quiet suburban Hotel is comfortable.

    In contrast to the bustling city, this Hotel offers a tranquil atmosphere as if you were in the quiet mountains, allowing you to relax in the lounge while watching the stream.     I had a relaxing time at the Prince after a long time.

    It is a Hotel where you can spend time in the lounge, enjoying the tranquility as if you were in the quiet mountains, in contrast to the bustling city.     Thank you for your hospitality once again!

    Thank you for your hospitality. The Room was clean and comfortable. Dinner was at the Japanese restaurant "Takaragaike". The attentive service left a good impression. We enjoyed the Omi beef sukiyaki set and shrimp tempura bowl in a calm atmosphere. At checkout, we were almost charged for parking, which was supposed to be free, but it was corrected after we pointed it out. Despite that, we had a relaxing stay this time as well.

    Great view

    Thank you for making the dinner reservation and the shiatsu reservation as requested. It was a bit disappointing to check in late and receive a seemingly troublesome explanation. Upon arriving at the room and receiving various explanations, I received a call from the front desk explaining that everything in the refrigerator was charged, which was different from the plan, leaving me with an unpleasant feeling. In the morning, when I opened the curtains, the International Conference Hall was right in front of me, making it a wonderful morning. The dinner, drinks, and staff were all excellent.     Thank you for everything up until now.

    It was my favorite hotel in Kyoto. Although it is far from the city center, it is close to the subway station, convenient, quiet, and not luxurious, but the staff are pleasant. Due to the times, last year the Diamond Member Lounge access was discontinued, but since the lounge was always crowded, it was understandable to prioritize those with that plan. We used the parking lot quite a bit. We were allowed to park before check-in, toured with just our hands using the subway and bus, and left it there while sightseeing the next day. From this fall, it seems there will be a parking fee. It's inevitable due to high demand. This time, we came by Shinkansen for the first time instead of by car. With the city of Kyoto being very crowded, it was a relief to have the Welcome Center right at the Hachijo Exit of the Shinkansen. After arriving, we left our luggage and were able to tour without baggage, even leaving our luggage at the front desk on the way back. Thank you very much. Finally, while I understand other changes, I was disappointed that my favorite "Itozakura" breakfast turned into an ordinary half-buffet with zero atmosphere. Although the choice between pancakes and eggs benedict remained, the egg dish was only scrambled eggs, no omelets. Previously, they would nicely ask if we wanted more coffee, juice, or bread without the customers having to get up, which was great, but now it's just ordinary... disappointing. After the meal, I used to have a light chat with the manager at the entrance (exit) and be sent off with a gentle Kyoto dialect "Take care," which was a nice start to the day, but now they just keep their eyes on the notebook without even a greeting. With the disappointments piling up, I feel like "Itozakura" is no longer for me. Every year, during the plum or autumn leaves season, I visited and enjoyed Kyoto comfortably. Thank you very much. This time, the checkout process was handled pleasantly, even when using a small amount of Prince points, which made me happy as it was truly Takaragaike Prince's hospitality. I used a value plan, which was sufficient, but it is no longer my beloved Prince Hotel.

    Faucet

    I definitely felt the age of the facilities, such as the plumbing. There was only one sink, and I needed to turn off the faucet to clean my contact lenses, but even when turned off, it leaked and couldn't be tightly closed. I was worried about losing my lenses, which was very disappointing. There were no pajamas in the room, which should have been there, so I had to call and have them brought to me. Since it was a reasonably priced early bird plan, I can't really complain, but it was a bit disappointing. However, the location of Takaragaike is wonderful, and the spaciousness of the room was very satisfying. The Chinese restaurant, 桃園 (Touen), where we had dinner, was also delicious.

    Breakfast

    The breakfast was buffet-style, but the venue was spacious, and it was far to the wall where the food was lined up. The food quality was questionable; the cherry tomatoes were mushy as if they were old, the simmered radish was cold, and the fried eggs, which were supposed to be made fresh by the staff, were pre-made. I doubted my eyes, wondering if it was really a Prince Hotel. The Room was spacious, clean, and had a coffee maker, allowing for a relaxing stay.

    I was able to relax, but...

    I often use this Property for work at the International Conference Hall, but this time I stayed for private reasons. I was able to spend a relaxing time in the Room as usual. However, there was one issue: the breakfast in the lounge was entirely buffet-style, and the space where the food was arranged was too narrow, making it difficult to move and get breakfast. It was more exhausting than challenging. Couldn't it be arranged like before, with some items served in a box and others available in a buffet style? I may use this Property again for work in the future, so I would appreciate it if improvements could be made.

    Large luggage can be...

    Large luggage can be left at the special corner of the Hotel at Kyoto Station and transported, which was very helpful. It was convenient to reach the Hotel using public transportation. Three people stayed in a twin room at the Hotel, but it was disappointing that one bed was worn out, and the lounge was at the entrance, which made me feel the disparity between those who could use it and those who couldn't. The leaves were still green, but the air was clean, and the food was delicious.

    Hotel where you can enjoy the tranquility of Kyoto

    I had a truly wonderful stay. There were some complaints in the reviews about the indication of a few minutes' walk from the International Conference Center, but I didn't feel that way. It's just a short walk. They promptly accommodated my early arrival. Since the luggage I left at Kyoto Station only arrived around 4 PM, I recommend keeping necessary items with you, but I had no issues. The hotel staff who delivered the luggage to my room was handsome and gentlemanly, making me feel welcomed. The club lounge was extremely crowded. The blancmange during afternoon tea was delicious. I saw someone eating five of them. During cocktail time, there was a scramble for drinks and food. Additionally, the beer server was malfunctioning, initially pouring only about 3 centimeters at the bottom of the glass, and even after adjustment, it only filled up to 70%, so many people said it didn't feel like draft beer. The food was all delicious. The bath is probably the same as before, but it was large and spacious, allowing for relaxation. The carpets in the hallway and room were designed to resemble the surface of a river, with fish and frogs here and there, which was quite soothing. The welcome sweets and champagne were delicious, and breakfast was also tasty. The lounge manager? If they could arrange guests with a bit more smile, it might have been more relaxing. Above all, the time spent feeling the tranquility of the ancient city was luxurious. I will visit again. Thank you very much.

    Nostalgic Showa Scent, Our Good Old Prince Hotel

    There was a conference called the Japan Hematology Society 2024, where hematologists from the whole country gathered, and it was full of doctors from morning till night. When I was little, I often stayed with my family at the Prince Hotel, and the texture and colors were nostalgic, allowing me to spend a relaxing time in the guest room. There were very few amenities, and I might have had to get lotion and such from the front desk. The view was great, and I could see fireworks from 8 PM. The breakfast buffet venue had a catering-like arrangement of dishes in the banquet hall, giving a sparse impression. The curry at the Prince Hotel was a nostalgic taste that I had at Naeba Prince Hotel in the past. The porridge with yuba sauce was delicious and had a Kyoto-like flavor. I couldn't find where the fitness corner was. Despite the large number of guests, everyone responded in detail, and I am grateful.

    Ideal for a relaxing stay in Kyoto

    We stayed in a Hollywood Twin type room on the club floor with our 0-year-old child. A baby crib was provided, so we could spend the night comfortably with the baby crib and Child Sharing Existing Bedding. The club lounge was satisfying as we could enjoy food and drinks while overlooking the garden. The gym was well-equipped, allowing us to maintain our physical health. The luggage Shuttle Service between Kyoto Station and the Hotel was extremely useful. Although the Hotel is not located in the city center, it is relatively easy to travel using public transportation in a short time, making it recommended for those who want to spend a relaxing and leisurely time. We would like to use it again.

    I had a very wonderful time!

    I stayed at the hotel designed by Togo Murano to see the hotel and the tea room. I knew there was a tour for guests, but there were no available dates that I could participate in. So, when I checked in, I asked where I could look around inside the hotel, and despite being busy, they kindly explained various aspects of the hotel to me. Moreover, whenever that person noticed us, they taught us various things (such as traditional events in Kyoto), allowing us to have a very fulfilling time in addition to relaxing. Thank you very much. I would love to stay again.

    Hotel with Unforgettable Natural Bath

    I like the harmony between the hotel and nature, and I have used it several times. Previously, there were activities like a fire pit at night, but the service has been discontinued, which was very disappointing. The lounge chair space here is designed to be spacious, so it is inevitably crowded at certain times. Perhaps as a countermeasure, this time there was a pre-arranged tea time sweets box and champagne in the room, and I was very impressed with this new consideration. Tea time while enjoying the greenery from the room was also a good time.
