    This is a Hotel I would like to stay at again.

    I stayed here because I am interested in the architecture of Togo Murano. According to Google Maps, it was about 20 minutes by subway from Kyoto Station to the nearest station plus an 11-minute walk, so I was a bit concerned that the final walk might feel long in the rain when I arrived at Kokusaikaikan Station. However, the route from the station to the Hotel goes through an underground passage first, and there is a roof above ground as well, so there was nothing to worry about. It snowed on my checkout day, but I only got wet for a brief moment while crossing the road. This time I used the club floor. The lounge also has hours when alcohol is served, and it was very relaxing. My only regret is that I didn’t fully understand the difference between cocktail time and nightcap time, so I arrived late and couldn’t enjoy enough hors d’oeuvres. I also used the fitness facilities, and they were excellent with a great selection of machines. I visited the tea room as well; there were thoughtful details everywhere, and I really enjoyed Murano’s work. It wasn’t a day with a Hotel tour this time, so I would like to come back again. From the carpet flooring and wallpaper to the tableware in my Room, everything had a Kyoto feel and reminded me of what makes Japan special. In particular, I really loved the “Ikannin” tableware. All staff members were pleasant, and thank you for helping me have such a meaningful stay. Next time, I’d like to visit in a different season.

    It was a cold day with snow flurries, but the service from every staff member was outstanding, making my stay warm in both body and spirit. I usually stay around Kyoto Station, but this time I found this place while searching for a trip to Kurama-dera Temple. They even delivered my luggage between Kyoto Station and the Hotel for ¥500 per item. With great access, it was comfortable and very quiet... (In the end, I gave up on Kurama-dera—lol.) Definitely worth returning! Next time, I’d like to join a tour where we can hear about the architecture with my husband, who loves architecture. Thank you to all the staff!

    The nights were quiet and relaxing, so I was able to unwind. However, I felt somewhat dissatisfied because I was told that the space where you can relax with a coffee could not be reserved for private use. Also, I am a Prince member, so I wonder why it was not available to me.

    I stay here regularly for work, and once again had a consistently comfortable stay. Thank you for assigning me a Room with a shower booth. Dinner felt improved compared to before in both the food and service. It was a little disappointing that the Japanese set breakfast was no longer available and only the buffet was offered.

    The Serenity and Luxury of Kyoto

    Compared to hotels in downtown Kyoto, this is the best Hotel near Takaragaike in the northern area, offering tranquility, luxurious rooms, and exceptional quality. I use it every year. The subway station is very close, providing excellent access to the city center.

    Immerse Yourself in Modern Architecture and Tranquility

    The elegant curved staircase, the arched outer corridor, and the modern design by Togo Murano with its intricate details are truly captivating. The inner garden features seasonal plants and is heart-shaped when viewed from above. The spacious rooms are quiet, comfortably temperature-controlled, and provide a relaxing atmosphere. The separate shower room adds convenience. However, the meals could use some improvement. With nearby attractions like Shugakuin Imperial Villa and Mount Hiei, you may spot guests in hiking attire here and there. It was perfect for a leisurely adult getaway.

    Enjoyed an adult school trip.

    After raising children and realizing how time flies, I decided to go on a one-night trip nearby with my best friend, who lives close but rarely travels together. This time, we wanted to relax and enjoy delicious food. Upon entering the Room, we were thrilled with the welcome sweets and sparkling wine. We toasted leisurely at the club lounge and thoroughly enjoyed the course dinner. Before we knew it, we were chatting until 3 a.m., sharing lighthearted stories. Breakfast was just as expected—we indulged in our favorite dishes and even ended with ochazuke for ultimate satisfaction. It was a blissful experience. Since my birthday falls on January 13th during the cold season, this trip became a wonderful memory for me. We traveled from Hirakata using Keihan trains along with Kintetsu and subway lines—it was incredibly convenient! Next time, I hope to visit with my daughter. We truly enjoyed this nearby adult school trip experience—thank you so much!

    Previously, I stayed with a friend through a Marriott booking and was particularly impressed by the stunning view from the lounge. This time, I stayed here with my family for New Year’s, enjoying lounge access and the "Prince Kyoto Takaragaike Special Dinner Buffet & Show" package. The festive show and New Year-themed dinner buffet made for a truly special experience. The staff were attentive and provided excellent service, making our stay very pleasant. Additionally, I was delighted to win an accommodation voucher for another Prince Hotel in the event's raffle—a wonderful surprise! It became a memorable way to start the New Year. I would love to stay here again in the future. Thank you very much!

    The parking area was...

    The parking area was neatly trimmed, creating an even brighter atmosphere. Once again, the staff's excellent service made for a very pleasant stay. Thank you. However, it was a bit disappointing that the Room slippers were no longer disposable this time. Although they were marked as "sanitized," providing new ones, even inexpensive options, would enhance the comfort of future stays.

    The hospitality is excellent.

    This time, we stayed in the Club Room again. The warm smiles of the staff always make us feel at ease. From the front desk, Club Room, cleaning staff, to even the pre-arrival phone support, everyone was incredibly accommodating. Truly wonderful service. The dishes in the Club Room are thoughtfully prepared and it shows. This time, we stayed to celebrate my wife's birthday and appreciate your kind arrangements following our prior request—thank you so much. We also visited the tea room in the garden for the first time this visit; it has a charming atmosphere and was very enjoyable. Next time, we plan to make a reservation in advance so that we can relax and enjoy tea at the tea room leisurely!

    You can enjoy a carpet of autumn leaves.

    The Club Floor In-Room Dining Plan was enjoyable. The morning opening of the tea lounge was delightful, and the autumn leaves were beautiful. However, the IKYU Diamond Member benefit of a welcome gift was missing, and it was only brought after I inquired about it post-checkout. Please ensure that such benefits are not overlooked in the future.

    Favorite Hotel

    I used to stay at other accommodations, but now I always choose this hotel when visiting Kyoto. It’s so relaxing that I feel like staying in the hotel rather than going sightseeing in Kyoto. This time, the autumn leaves at the hotel were stunning, and the view from my room was the best I've ever experienced. The scenery from the room is so beautiful that there’s no need to visit sightseeing spots for autumn leaves. Thank you always for providing such a wonderful experience.

    Club Floor is the Best!

    We stayed as a family with two children. The facility shows some signs of aging, but it is well-maintained, allowing us to have a comfortable stay. We would love to stay again.

    Every time our old c...

    Every time our old clubmate from student days, who now lives abroad, returns to Japan, we all gather in the Keihanshin area for an overnight stay to talk about the present, past, and future. This time, we chose a Plan that allowed us to relax in the Room. The Room we were shown was spacious with a wonderful view, and everyone was delighted. We were also happy that no one had to use an extra bed. However, the dinner delivered to our Room was disappointing. Two types of dishes for four people were served together as if for two people; there were no individual plates or chopsticks provided—only cutlery—so we used coffee saucers from the Room and some chopsticks we happened to have brought along. Partway through, we requested plates for serving cake specifically. It would have been preferable if the dishes had been divided by number of guests from the start. After checking out, exploring around the Hotel was enjoyable thanks to a very kind explanation by a receptionist originally from Russia—we could fully appreciate early autumn. Thank you very much!

    Stayed for 2 nights.

    The front desk explained that the two breakfast venues offer exactly the same menu. My companions were also told the same. On the first night, we dined at a restaurant with a garden view, and on the second night, at one along the corridor. However, the menus were different—such as whether sukiyaki or curry was available. Clearer explanations would be appreciated.

    I had a very comfortable stay.

    I stayed at this hotel again. It was my daughter's first time staying, and she was very happy, saying she had a very pleasant stay. When staying at other hotels, I often feel like going out sightseeing, but when staying at this hotel, I don't want to leave. The night view from the courtyard was stunning and made it a memorable trip. Thank you for the wonderful time.

    We used this facility for a company trip.

    I used to stay at other hotels, but I was so impressed by the front desk staff's response and the service of the staff during a chance stay that I have been using this hotel ever since. This time, however, there was dust in the room... I wonder how long it has been there. Also, although there were some disappointing experiences this time, such as during check-out, I look forward to my next visit and will come again. Although I wrote a bit about my concerns, all the hotel staff are very kind. Thank you in advance for your hospitality next time as well.

    Admire the masterpiece from the final years of Togo Murano.

    I have stayed here several times before, but I was always too busy to fully enjoy the Hotel. This time, I had some free time, so I arrived early and took my time exploring and taking photos. Although I had no prior knowledge, the front desk staff and manager kindly explained various things to me, which was very educational. The tea room was under renovation, so I couldn't visit it this time—something to look forward to on my next stay. Thank you very much!

    Thank you for taking care of us again this time. In the past, I used to stay at other accommodations, but after staying here for the first time last time, I became captivated by the heartwarming service of this hotel. This time, I forgot my charger—realizing it only at night. When I asked the front desk if they had one to lend, they promptly brought it to my room. From conversations and attitudes, I could sense a refined touch that was truly comforting. I realized that a hotel is not just about its building or facilities but also about the hospitality of its staff. This is a hotel where I'd love to stay again!

    BAR "Saryo"

    I stayed at the accommodation on the day of Kyoto Gozan Okuribi. From one station away from the hotel, I was able to see "Myo" and "Ho." It was my first time viewing it so close, and watching the flames gave me a sense of gratitude. The return trip was quick via subway, avoiding any crowds, which made it easy to get back to the hotel. It was also lucky that it didn’t rain around Kitayama on this day. The tea room "Saryo" in the hotel opened as a one-day limited bar where I enjoyed delicious champagne, making for a very enriching experience. I am grateful to the young staff members who recommended this plan.

    Excellent hospitality.

    Recently, even with high prices, many hotels offer efficient but impersonal service. However, here I experienced heartfelt hospitality and truly felt the essence of "Hotel" service after a long time. In particular, the refined hospitality of the Assistant Manager at the front desk made my stay comfortable from start to finish. The porter was also very kind and provided genuine assistance rather than just going through the motions of carrying luggage, which was impressive. Although it is a bit far from Kyoto Station, it is accessible with one subway ride. I would definitely stay at this Hotel again when visiting Kyoto. Highly recommended!

    Business Use

    I chose this accommodation as it was the closest to the International Conference Center where I had work. Staying on the club floor allowed me to enjoy tea time, evening snacks, and beer. The staff were very pleasant and kind. I will stay here again for future work trips.

    I had a great time!

    Before our trip, I read everyone's reviews and visited with excitement. The facility felt a bit aged, but parts had been beautifully renovated. We were shown to a spacious and well-cleaned room, which was very comfortable. The food at the club lounge, which I was most curious about, exceeded my expectations with its variety and deliciousness. We enjoyed strolling through the courtyard and viewing Togo Murano's staircase, experiencing the history throughout the facility—it was truly a meaningful time. Thank you! If only the wallpaper in the room's closet wasn't torn, it would have been perfect! (laughs) This was my first stay at a Prince Hotel, and it truly is a wonderful hotel. Now I want to try staying at other Prince Hotels as well!

    Enjoy a delightful dinner on the riverside terrace at Kibune Hiroya.

    Dinner-inclusive plan with a first-time experience of Kibune's Kawadoko. Unlike the Kawadoko on the Kamogawa River, this setup features seating directly above the river, allowing us to enjoy Kaiseki cuisine while feeling the cool breeze. Perhaps because it was Friday, the shuttle service bus was practically private, and we had a pleasant conversation with the driver. We were concerned upon hearing news of a flood incident that washed away parts of Kawadoko due to heavy rain days later. The driver expressed worries about declining dining customers, and we hope this incident doesn't worsen their situation further. The hotel showed some signs of staff shortages; there were no bell staff at the entrance to guide parking spaces, which caused some confusion, and explanations about parking tickets from front desk staff were unclear at times (though acceptable if considered as a business hotel). The breakfast buffet felt average in both quality and variety. Considering the guest demographics, offering slightly higher-quality options might be better. An elderly guest asked if congee was available but was curtly declined by a young staff member—this interaction felt disappointing. In contrast, it was delightful that an adjacent tea room opened for accommodation guests during morning hours—a thoughtful service indeed! While self-guided exploration is enjoyable, having guided tours or explanations would enhance this experience even more.

    Grateful for the exceptional service of the Hotel

    The breakfast was delicious, and it would be amazing if there were more variety or a live kitchen. There were no toothbrush amenities, but they kindly brought one to the Room and even searched the trash for my lost item—truly exceptional service! The breakfast venue was very crowded, so I thought it might have been better to choose a Plan with club lounge access for a more relaxed dining experience. For those visiting during holiday periods, I recommend opting for a Plan with club lounge access if you're unsure which Plan to choose!
