    The Facility is excellent, and the view depends on the weather.

    Unfortunately, we couldn’t enjoy the magnificent view of Mt. Fuji due to clouds and fog. The next morning, I was a little moved to catch a faint, shadow-like glimpse of Mt. Fuji’s summit through the overcast sky. The Hotel Facility and staff service felt luxurious and were excellent. We used the restaurant for lunch and ordered katsu curry and a katsu sandwich; the cutlet was crispy and very delicious—my wife said it was “outstanding!” For dinner, we chose Japanese cuisine and were very satisfied, including with the staff service. We also enjoyed breakfast. I think we would have been even more satisfied if there had been a large public bath and an open-air bath. Still, if we have the chance, we’d like to visit again—after planning for more stable weather conditions.

    We had an enjoyable dinner.

    I really enjoyed talking with the staff member who took care of us at the teppanyaki counter, and of course I was very satisfied with the food as well. I look forward to seeing you again. I would rate breakfast 2/5. The curry was delicious, so I hope you will put more effort into improving the other dishes too.

    It felt like a scenic art museum in itself.

    Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t favorable, so we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji.

    I stayed here with my daughter and my 7-month-old grandchild. I had wanted to stay at this Hotel for a long time, and it was far more wonderful than I expected. I mentioned at the time of Reservation that we would be traveling with a baby, and there were more bath towels in the bathroom than I have ever seen. My daughter and I were truly touched, thinking it must have been your thoughtful consideration for our grandchild. We arrived for dinner just before last order, but the staff were very kind, and the food was delicious—we were so happy. The view was of course amazing, and everywhere in the Hotel was spotless. It was so comfortable that we didn’t want to leave. Although we arrived later than planned, the staff welcomed us warmly. My daughter and I have become big fans of Nippondaira Hotel. We would love to stay again soon. Thank you very much.

    Comfortable Accommodation

    From the warm welcome upon arrival to check-in at the front desk and being shown to our Room, the staff greeted us with pleasant smiles. First impressions really matter. The Facility was clean and well maintained even after the renovation. For the future, I hope they add a club lounge and an Onsen Facility. It was a great Hotel with a view of Mt. Fuji.

    Enjoy breathtaking views through large windows

    I booked this Room because I wanted to take my time and enjoy the view of Mt. Fuji from the Room. The “Nihondaira Twin” Room was truly perfect for relaxing on my own. I could always hear birds singing (a Japanese paradise flycatcher?), and they would sometimes fly past the window, making it a soothing, nature-filled space beyond just the views of Mt. Fuji and the garden. It was a little disappointing that voices from guests in the neighboring Room chatting happily outside on their balcony carried into my Room even with the windows closed, but there’s no doubt this is a comfortable Hotel. I also enjoyed an elegant stroll through the garden.

    Spectacular views

    The views from the Nihondaira Twin room are spectacular. Yume Terrace is also well worth a visit.

    We had a pleasant stay.

    The breakfast buffet was excellent. The spacious lawn garden with views of Mt. Fuji was also wonderful. This is a Hotel you’ll want to stay at again and again.

    A Luxury Hotel with Reliable Quality

    This was my third stay. Although there is no Onsen Facility on-site, there is probably no other Hotel in Shizuoka that offers this level of satisfaction. If I had to mention one thing, the breakfast venue was already crowded after 7:00 a.m., so I would appreciate it if this could be improved.

    Thank you, as always, for your kind assistance. This time we booked two Rooms, and we truly appreciate that you connected the two beds like a Hollywood twin for our one-year-old grandchild. You even prepared birthday fruit in my son and his wife’s Room, and they were both delighted. It was also very memorable to see my sons enjoying the meals, saying “Delicious, delicious!” However, we were very disappointed that there was no message plate or commemorative photo gift this time, which we had received before.

    This Hotel offers vi...

    This Hotel offers views of Mt. Fuji and delivers a consistently high level of satisfaction no matter when you visit. I came mainly to visit Yume Terrace, and it was very helpful that guests are provided with a Shuttle Service by car. The pancakes are delicious, so I arrived early again this time to enjoy them. For dinner, we ate on the garden terrace, and I was amazed by the fried shrimp my friend ordered. Three pieces of fried shrimp with a thin coating and plump, tightly packed shrimp inside. Next time, I will definitely order it. Whenever I come to Shizuoka, I want to stay here without fail. Thank you very much.

    The bath drain was very slow. When I used the shower to wash, the water that ran off started pooling. As a result, my washed feet got dirty again, so I had to stop the shower, wait for the water to drain away, and then quickly wash again. However, the view from the Room was excellent.

    If the weather is nice, it’s perfect!

    You can enjoy views of Mt. Fuji from your Room, making it an outstanding location. The garden was beautifully maintained, and it felt like staying right in the middle of a golf course. The only downside was the lack of a large public bath (Onsen). The meals were beautifully presented, and the portions were just right.

    This is a wonderful, classic Hotel.

    First of all, the staff were very professional—truly a classic Hotel. The Room windows were polished so you could fully enjoy the spectacular view of Mt. Fuji, and the chairs and balcony bench were arranged so you could relax comfortably. It was spacious and quiet, and I felt like staying in the Room all day. There was also a great selection of amenities, and the refrigerator was stocked with plenty of drinks. Dinner was Japanese cuisine—a wonderful course featuring local ingredients. The atmosphere was lovely, and it felt like a place where you’d want to dress up a little. At breakfast (both buffet and Japanese set), there were people lining up early and the entrance area felt hectic, so I think introducing time slots would help preserve the elegant Hotel atmosphere. The garden is vast, and it’s enjoyable to stroll around. Next time, I’d like to book a Multiple Night Stay and visit the restaurants and lounge I didn’t get to this time.

    I stayed here with three friends from my student days. The Room, meals, and lobby were all spacious, and we had a very comfortable stay. Unfortunately, we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji clearly in its entirety, but the view through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows was wonderful. We’ve decided to stay at Nippondaira Hotel again for next year’s trip.

    It was a Hotel where we could relax at a leisurely pace, taking walks through the beautifully manicured lawn garden and enjoying the view from our Room. From the window, Mount Fuji and the sea of Shimizu spread out right before our eyes. When we stayed for our wedding anniversary, a message and a fruit platter were prepared in our Room, and we were truly touched by their thoughtful hospitality. We would love to stay again.

    The view from the Room was breathtaking.

    I visited on a weekend in May right after the Golden Week holidays, and we were able to see Mt. Fuji very clearly. Every Room faces Mt. Fuji, and being able to enjoy the lawn in front of the Hotel, Suruga Bay, and Mt. Fuji all day long was truly a wonderful experience. We had French cuisine, and both the portion size and the view from the restaurant were excellent. We traveled with children, and the kids’ hamburger steak was so delicious that it made us want to come back just for lunch. There were also many items available to borrow for children, which made us feel very welcome. It would be perfect if there were a large public bath or an in-room bath where you could soak while looking at Mt. Fuji. It seems they also lend out footbaths that can be used on the balcony, so I’d like to try one next time. Because of the high elevation, there seem to be many kinds of wild birds around, and their songs were lovely as well. A blue rock thrush appears to live near the Hotel and treats you to its beautiful voice. One small concern was that when fewer people are in the garden around midday, there seem to be more crows than usual.

    Spectacular Views

    I made a Reservation based on a recommendation from an acquaintance. Although the weather was unfortunately cloudy on the day of arrival, after sightseeing nearby I enjoyed strolling through the spacious garden and relaxing on the balcony. Early the next morning, I was deeply moved to see Mount Fuji glowing in the sunrise right in front of me. The glass-fronted Hotel overlooking the garden was also wonderful, and of course the staff were kind. The view of Mount Fuji from the restaurant was breathtaking as well. It was an excellent Hotel that exceeded my expectations—relaxing and comfortable without any need to be formal.

    Nihondaira Hotel, highly recommended.

    The hotel lobby is grand, spacious, and bright, with large panoramic windows offering an unobstructed view of Mt. Fuji. The staff are kind and polite, and the rooms are clean. It would be even better if there were a large public bath. Outside the hotel is a vast grassy viewpoint like a golf course—soft turf, lush greenery—and stunning views over Suruga Bay and majestic Mt. Fuji that make you feel truly refreshed. Breakfast is served in a spacious, bright dining room; with the magnificent scenery, it really feels like a resort. I give Nippondaira Hotel my highest rating. Thank you for giving me and my family such a wonderful day.

    Wonderful!

    It was wonderful and truly felt like an escape from everyday life. It left a lasting impression, and I’d love to return. We enjoyed both the Room and the shops. We stayed one night, but managed to visit all three lounges (lol), which was great. We came with friends this time, but next time we’d like to stay longer with family. Thank you very much.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    First visit. Sitting in the garden, I could feel the energy of Mt. Fuji, and from the Room I enjoyed the night view. This Hotel is perfect for doing nothing and relaxing at a leisurely pace. So much so that I’d like a Multiple Night Stay. However, about dinner: since I’m not fond of set courses or kaiseki meals, it was disappointing that there were too few à la carte options.

    A Hotel you’ll want to stay at again

    I had almost no complaints about the Hotel’s services, but there was no large bath. Overall, I guess there are some advantages. With good weather, it would be a perfect Hotel—relaxing while enjoying the view through the large windows makes you want to spend time at ease. One entire wall of the Room is floor-to-ceiling glass, offering panoramic views of Mt. Fuji and Suruga Bay. The glass is well maintained, and the whole Room feels clean. The garden, like a golf course, also feels wonderfully open—on a clear night, you might even see beautiful stars.

    We finally got to stay at the Accommodation.

    I had wanted to stay at Nippondaira Hotel for several years, but it was hard to get a Reservation. I was finally able to stay there. Since we stayed for two nights, on the first day we took the Nihondaira Ropeway to Toshogu Shrine, and on the second day we took the shuttle bus to Shizuoka Station and visited Sunpu Castle Park. The shuttle buses run frequently and are very convenient, so we left our car in the parking lot. For dinner, we could choose between Japanese and Western cuisine, and for breakfast we could choose either a Japanese set meal or a buffet. We were satisfied with the menu options. At dinner on the second day (Fukian), I mentioned that I do not like raw foods, and they kindly changed my meal to an alternative menu, which I really appreciated. The staff were also very courteous, and we had a comfortable stay.

    Enjoy Japan’s best Mt. Fuji view — the outstanding Nippondaira Hotel

    A long-awaited stay at Nihondaira Hotel Slept with the luxurious Mt. Fuji–view window fully open. In this season of fresh greenery before Golden Week, we enjoyed Mt. Fuji standing tall in the morning sun from before 5 a.m. My wife took 29 photos of Mt. Fuji from inside the room in just one night. As a couple living in Kanagawa Prefecture, our attachment to Mt. Fuji isn’t small—but this was on another level. With a location designed around the Mt. Fuji view as the star, it was a memorable stay thanks to both the setting and the service. We never tired of the view and were truly satisfied with our stay. Amenities, staff service, furnishings, and cleanliness—an excellent Hotel with nothing to complain about. For breakfast we chose a calm Japanese set meal; warm dishes from early morning along with Shizuoka tea were delicious. With a 12:00 checkout that supports a relaxed stay, it also felt ideal for visiting Kunozan Toshogu Shrine—overall, an outstanding Hotel with very high satisfaction.

    I stayed at this Hotel to reunite with my university friends for the first time in 40 years. We thoroughly enjoyed Mt.     Thrilled with the breathtaking views!

    Mount Fuji and Suruga Bay beyond the spacious garden—simply breathtaking views. I stayed in a Standard Twin this time. I didn’t realize at the time of Reservation that the Standard Twin is not on the Mount Fuji side, so that was a mistake. However, you can see beautiful Mount Fuji from everywhere—whether from the lobby or the lounge—so it wasn’t really an issue. We had an à la carte meal on the garden terrace. The view there is also amazing, though I would have been happier if the food were a bit more delicious. So close. It would be even better with a large public bath. I was able to enjoy Mount Fuji all day and was very satisfied!

    The moment you step ...

    The moment you step into the lobby, a panoramic view of Mt. Fuji unfolds before you. I was truly impressed by the floor-to-ceiling glass design, created so guests can enjoy the scenery to the fullest. Another standout feature for me was the beautifully maintained lawn area—spacious like a golf course. Sitting on a bench beneath the cherry tree in the garden and gazing at Mt. Fuji was a calm, one-of-a-kind experience. The bed was very comfortable, and the Room was clean. Although it was a standard Room, I had an extremely pleasant stay. It has become an Accommodation I want to visit every year.

    Have Mount Fuji all to yourselves!

    Two friends and I stayed here together. This Hotel truly lives up to its reputation for breathtaking views—while relaxing in our Room, it felt as if we had Mount Fuji all to ourselves, and we couldn’t stop admiring it. Before we knew it, we also noticed Miho no Matsubara spread out below. We were able to fully enjoy Mount Fuji in a way so captivating you could almost overlook everything else. Spending time with my friend in the upper lounge, chatting while taking in the night view, was another unforgettable highlight. The staff’s warm and attentive hospitality also left a lasting impression. It was such a wonderful Hotel that I’d love to return again—and again.

    A truly first-class Hotel

    Although the weather was not clear, the view of Mt. Fuji from the lobby moved me—it looked just like an ink-wash painting. For dinner, we ate at the Japanese sushi counter and fully enjoyed fresh seafood from Suruga Bay. We also had a great time listening to the chef talk not only about fish, but also about Shizuoka wasabi and other sushi-related stories, which made for a wonderful evening. On the day we arrived, we took the ropeway to Toshogu Shrine, and the Hotel provided Shuttle Service by car to and from the ropeway station. These days, many Hotels have impressive buildings and facilities, but it’s not uncommon for service or food to be disappointing. At this Hotel, both the staff service and dining were excellent—I truly felt it is a first-class Hotel in every sense.
