    Kinugawa Kanaya Hote...

    Kinugawa Kanaya Hotel can be described as a Property where Hotel and Ryokan are fused in a perfect balance of Japanese and Western styles. I was very pleased with the interior design of the lobby and other areas, which matched my taste perfectly. The Room, meals, and Onsen were all impeccable, but above all, the hospitality was outstanding and left a deep impression on me. Personally, I have stayed at luxury Hotels around the world, and I believe this Hotel ranks among my top favorites.

    I was informed about recommended spots.

    Thanks to Koya Travel on YouTube, I discovered a luxurious Stays where you can receive chocolates. With prior knowledge, I was able to choose a Room with a desirable open-air bath. Although Japanese cuisine seemed to have a better reputation, this time I chose teppanyaki and enjoyed watching it being cooked right in front of me. The chef was a very nice person, and when I talked about seeing the ruins of the Hotel from Takimibashi, he recommended the "Otaki River Promenade" as a spot to visit. It's a little upstream from Takimibashi and has parking. From there, you can stroll down the promenade to the river, where you can get close enough to touch the water. There are huge rocks scattered around, and it's a place the chef loves. After dinner, I enjoyed some high-end chocolates in the lounge. They were so delicious that I bought a few as souvenirs, savoring them since they were quite pricey. I viewed the ruins of the Hotel from Takimibashi and felt the passage of time, reminiscing about company trips during my working days. It's probably difficult to preserve them as they are, like Gunkanjima. I stopped by the Otaki Promenade recommended by the chef, and as he said, it was a wonderful place with few people, making it a hidden gem. The autumn leaves and weather were perfect, creating a very good memory. Kinugawa, the best!

    Story at Home Friendly

    As expected, it was a wonderful Hotel with a great story. In addition to being very satisfied with both the cuisine and the Onsen, the kind hospitality of all the staff made for a cozy and friendly atmosphere. I will never forget the luxurious time and the taste of cigars at the cigar salon. Thank you, as I recall the faces of the staff.

    I was able to spend a quiet and relaxing time.

    The atmosphere was nice and it was a lovely space. However, I felt it was unnecessary to be kept waiting in the lobby for a dedicated staff member to guide us to dinner. It would have been sufficient to simply state the Room number directly at the restaurant entrance, as we did at breakfast. Being made to wait felt like an unnecessary service, and it left me with a slightly overly formal impression.

    The best Hotel

    The room, service, and meals were excellent. We had a luxurious time. We would like to stay at Kinugawa Kanaya Hotel again.

    A wonderful Hotel I want to visit again

    Everyone was kind and accommodating. The food was delicious, and I was surprised to see my usually light-eating father eat a lot. The bath had a colorless and transparent spring quality that made my skin smooth. This is a Stays I would like to visit again to see the cherry blossoms and autumn leaves.

    One thing that was disappointing

    The service and meals were impeccable, and I was very satisfied. The only disappointment was that the Room WiFi was difficult to connect to, and even when connected, it was extremely slow and unusable.

    We had a great time.

    Every area was impeccably clean, and the sparkling glass windows were particularly impressive. I was able to relax in the lounge and enjoy delicious coffee and tea. After dinner, there was a chocolate service, which made for an enjoyable time. Surprisingly, there was also a late-night snack service. No matter which staff member I asked for a small favor, it seemed like they were well-coordinated and handled everything efficiently. Thanks to everyone's thoughtfulness, I was able to have a relaxing and wonderful time. Thank you very much.

    The best hospitality Hotel

    Stayed at the Hotel for a relaxing time to celebrate a 60th birthday. The Onsen, of course, the staff's subtle greetings, the dishes crafted with thought beyond expectations, and the surprise celebration deeply moved my husband, making it a memorable and wonderful trip. The autumn leaves were still a bit away, which was unfortunate, so it's a Hotel I want to stay at again. Thank you very much.

    It was an enjoyable stay!

    I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days, and it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The food was delicious, and I was delighted with the chocolate after the meal, which I had been looking forward to. The Saint-Louis tableware in the dining area was also lovely! The Onsen was very pleasant as well.

    Everything is wonderful.

    The atmosphere of the Room, Facility, and staff's response all felt wonderful. Especially the meals, both dinner and breakfast, were very delicious. After dinner, famous chocolates were provided, and a late-night snack was prepared in the Room, allowing us to receive unexpected services smoothly. The price is on the higher side, but the satisfaction received was more than worth it.

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

    I stayed with my mother at a hotel I had wanted to try for a long time. The room's interior and amenities, the view from the top floor room, the cuisine, the large public bath, and the staff's service were all excellent. I was prepared for the hotel to be crowded since it was fully booked on the day of our stay, but it was not crowded at all, and we were able to relax both in the restaurant and the large public bath. For dinner, we enjoyed the Kanaya-style kaiseki, which I had wanted to try. The dishes were visually delightful and tasted amazing, leaving us very satisfied. I was so full that I couldn't eat the nori rolls prepared for a late-night snack, which I felt sorry about. I have added another property I want to visit again.

    I couldn't forget th...

    I couldn't forget the wonderful experience from my first visit, so I came back again. Everything, from the Room, meals, to the Onsen, was excellent. I was also impressed by the staff's perfect balance of distance and attentiveness. The view from the Room was spectacular, and the view bath was comfortable without feeling cold. I will definitely visit again!!

    Meticulous arrangements and hospitality

    I usually prefer to stay at small luxury hotels or auberges, so I don't expect a high level of meticulousness from large hotels with many employees and complex operations. However, this hotel was different. It incorporated the excellent hospitality of traditional ryokan style, and the person who guided us greeted us while sitting in a formal kneeling position. Foreign guests might be surprised by this. It was common in traditional Japanese inns, but it was my first time experiencing such a greeting at a hotel. The interior was meticulously arranged, with attention to details like the scent throughout the hotel and Halloween-themed displays. The cleaning was, of course, thorough. When I arrive at a hotel, I first check the hairdryer, and both the public bath and guest rooms had ReFa hairdryers. This is appealing to female guests. Inari sushi is provided as a default late-night snack, but since dinner is quite substantial, I feel many people might force themselves to eat it. It would be appreciated if there was an option to indicate "not needed" to avoid waste. I will visit again.

    The impression of a typical hotel. The chocolate in the lounge was delicious.

    The room was relatively spacious and clean, which felt nice. The kaiseki cuisine was satisfactory. Although the large public bath was clean, it lacked charm. The all-you-can-eat chocolate in the lounge after dinner was memorable, but I didn't feel the hotel was impressive enough to warrant a high rating.

    The hospitality is amazing.

    I have stayed at various inns and hotels so far, but this hotel provided the most attentive service and a comfortable stay, making it the best experience I've had. I was able to have a wonderful time, and I am truly grateful to all the hotel staff. If I have the opportunity, I would definitely like to stay here again.

    Disappointing service

    The exterior is unassuming, but inside, the calm interior and seasonal decorations create a different and beautiful atmosphere! The accommodation is expensive, so both the room and services were luxuriously equipped. What was disappointing was that during the meal, I accidentally dropped a raw egg on the table. I managed to wipe it up with a towel before it could spill onto the carpet. I informed the staff of the situation and asked for a towel. The staff only brought the towel and did not quickly wipe the table or offer a new egg. Additionally, they forgot to serve coffee after the meal, and no one came to check if we wanted more bread or rice. This was my second stay, so the service was disappointing. They offered inari sushi in the room as a late-night snack, but since I was full, I would have preferred something like ice cream.
