    Used for a 60th birthday celebration - it was excellent.

    We stayed as a family of three to celebrate a 60th birthday. Upon check-in, we were welcomed in the lounge with tea and kusa mochi. The Hotel is impeccably clean, with attention to detail evident throughout every corner. Soft drinks are available anytime in the lounge. There are two baths, operating on a gender-swapping schedule. The baths were never crowded, allowing us to relax and enjoy them comfortably. Our only suggestion would be to have more lockers with keys available. Since women take longer to get ready, the limited number of key-lock lockers caused slight congestion in the changing area. Both dinner and breakfast featured beautifully presented dishes that lived up to Kanaya Hotel's reputation—truly impressive! The chocolate wagon after dinner was absolutely delightful! Additionally, we appreciated receiving a framed photo taken during our celebratory toast for the 60th birthday—it was such a thoughtful touch!

    I have stayed here s...

    I have stayed here several times, but this time I visited with my family to celebrate my mother's birthday. From the room, we enjoyed a view of fresh greenery and a clear stream right in front of us. The onsen was clean, the meals were beautifully presented and delicious, allowing us to spend a relaxing and luxurious time. During dinner, they prepared a dessert plate for my mother's birthday, which surprised and deeply moved her—a wonderful surprise indeed. After the meal, we were treated to delightful chocolates as well as a late-night snack, both of which were delicious. This hotel truly stands out for its exceptional hospitality and attentiveness from all staff members. They responded to all our questions and requests with smiles, making our stay completely pleasant without any discomfort. It is definitely a hotel I would like to visit again. Thank you very much!

    A one-of-a-kind accommodation nestled along the Kinugawa stream.

    It was my first time visiting Kinugawa Onsen, and the shuttle service to the station was very helpful. Check-in was smooth while enjoying a Kashiwa Mochi in the lounge. The room offered an amazing view of the Kinugawa River stream. The public bath was clean, and I could relax in the open-air onsen. Dinner at the dining area had a wide variety of dishes, which were very satisfying. Dessert could be enjoyed in the lounge with a sweet wagon and coffee. The staff were hospitable, even willingly helping with photo-taking requests, making it a top-class accommodation! I would definitely like to stay here again.

    I had a pleasant stay.

    I stayed at the accommodation during a long weekend. The guest room had a renovated sink, bathroom, and toilet—perhaps other areas as well. The room was spacious with a great view. What I want to highlight most about this hotel is the warm and attentive service of the staff—it was truly exceptional. Even their bows were thoughtful and polite. Additionally, both the guest rooms and public baths were impeccably clean, with not even a single strand of hair left behind. Used towels in the public bath seemed to be promptly removed from baskets as well. It made for a very pleasant stay. While some parts of the building may feel slightly old, everything is sparkling clean, with seasonal decorations placed throughout that give off an elegant atmosphere reflecting its long-standing history. Unfortunately, I had to cut my meal short due to feeling unwell; however, the beef stew was delicious. This is truly an accommodation offering warm hospitality!

    As expected from a long-established Hotel, it exceeded expectations.

    The spacious room with a great view allowed for a relaxing and leisurely stay. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, satisfying both the eyes and the stomach, and the chocolate bar after dinner was a delightful surprise. The staff's service was excellent, making it truly one of the best Hotels as others have mentioned. Next time, I would love to enjoy a Multiple Night Stay.

    Anniversary Plan

    I booked the Anniversary Plan to celebrate my mother and brother's birthdays. The staff provided heartfelt and warm hospitality, along with deliciously crafted dishes (the tableware was also lovely). Both were deeply moved by the surprise birthday dessert plate. The Onsen and Shuttle Service made everything perfect. The exceptional service exceeded our expectations, leaving my mother and brother truly touched. It seems we created wonderful memories together. Thank you so much for taking such great care of us!

    Good season

    The meals had a gentle seasoning and were good. The Room was not suitable for me as I am sensitive to even slight dust. I couldn't stop sneezing.

    Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious. The staff's warm and friendly service made the stay even more comforting, allowing me to enjoy a truly relaxing time. For a "well-deserved getaway" to recharge from daily fatigue, the meals and hot springs provided ultimate relaxation and blissful moments.     It was a very pleasant stay.

    The high review ratings had caught my attention for a while, and after staying here, I was convinced. From the reservation stage, the email correspondence was excellent, and from arrival to departure, the staff's hospitality left a strong impression. While many hotels nowadays may have luxurious facilities but lack in service quality, this accommodation reminded me how pleasant good service can be. The fruit platter for Diamond members exceeded expectations. Dinner was a standard meal without luxury ingredients but featured seasonal and high-quality items. The presentation was beautiful, and the pairing of champagne, white wine, and red wine was delightful. The onsen is spacious with gender-swapped access in the morning and evening. It is cleaned frequently so it always felt clean and comfortable to use. Check-in came with tea sweets; there were free drinks available in the lobby; chocolates were offered after meals—all these touches made it enjoyable to relax at the hotel. I recommend checking in early at 2 PM to fully enjoy your stay. We stayed as a group of four in a standard room which felt spacious enough. Regarding bedding, I found it slightly soft for my preference—it would be nice if there were options—but pillows could be chosen based on personal preference. Meals were served privately during dinner which was great; however, I wish breakfast could have been enjoyed with views from windows instead of indoors entirely. Overall though, everything about our stay was wonderful! My family who joined me also loved it very much despite unexpected snow limiting sightseeing opportunities this time around—I look forward to visiting again!

    It was a parent-child trip to celebrate my father's 88th birthday. Unexpectedly, you celebrated with us, and he was very happy. Thank you so much. All the staff were warm and welcoming, making our stay very comfortable. It was truly a wonderful accommodation as I had heard. I would love to visit again!

    Relax and unwind.

    The Hotel was as exc...

    The Hotel was as excellent as the reviews suggested. The Room was great, but I especially enjoyed the cozy lobby lounge where I could relax and read magazines and books. There was also a drink service available. Additionally, after dinner, they served chocolates in the lounge, which was a delightful touch. The chocolates were delicious, so I ended up buying some as souvenirs. Also, the cigar room is stunning; even non-smokers might find it worth taking a look!

    It was very good.

    I stayed for sightseeing at Nikko Toshogu Shrine. It was a very nice property that made me want to visit again. The hospitality of the staff was not superficial; I felt they truly put their heart into it, and the room was so clean, even the windows were polished, allowing for a great view. During meals, used cups and trash bins in the room were neatly tidied up. My husband is a foreigner and often has trouble with meals at ryokans due to some ingredients in Japanese cuisine he doesn't like, but both dinner and breakfast were accommodated for us, which was extremely helpful. Thank you very much indeed. On the first day of our stay, there happened to be the "Yunishigawa Kamakura Festival," so we took about 45 minutes by bus from the station to see it but managed to return in time for dinner as well. Also, you can reach Nikko Toshogu Shrine by train with one transfer. Next time I would like to bring my mother along. Thank you very much.

    Hotel with excellent service

    I visited with a friend. The Room was spacious and clean, and the dinner we were looking forward to had attention to detail in each dish, all of which were very delicious. Moreover, all the staff provided kind service, making it a wonderful Hotel. I would like to visit again.

    The staff's smiles are the best!

    I encountered a truly wonderful Property after a long time, with absolutely nothing to complain about. The staff greeted us warmly, and at every moment, they approached us with smiles, accommodating our schedule and showing great consideration, which was incredibly soothing. The meals and baths were also excellent. It was a Property that made me want to visit again soon. Highly recommended.

    I visited with my parents at the beginning of the year.

    I couldn't get a reservation for New Year's, so I visited on January 5-6 after the New Year. As rumored, it is a long-established luxury ryokan (hotel?), so despite its location near the station (5 minutes on foot), the shuttle service is free, and drinks within the facility are basically free. There is also a chocolate and coffee service after meals, and I really felt like I could relax and enjoy the onsen. The staff were very polite, and I could feel their hospitality in every detail. The meals were seasoned gently, which was perfect for my parents' age (70s), although it might be a bit lacking for younger people. When I mentioned that I wanted to celebrate my mother's birthday, they prepared a plate for her. In the room, there were inari sushi prepared as a night snack, making it a thoroughly satisfying and fulfilling trip.

    Delicious Christmas

    I was very happy to stay during Christmas. I was healed by the Onsen and enjoyed the delicious meals. The chocolate and coffee I love were the best! I spent happy days again. I would like to visit again to be healed.

    You can have a comfortable stay.

    The rooms are well-cleaned, making them clean and comfortable. The meals were enjoyable both visually and taste-wise. The two hours of dinner felt like they passed in no time. Regarding bedding, both the beds and futons were comfortable to sleep on. It was nice to have options for how to spend our time, such as yukata for use within the facility and pajamas for use only in the room, depending on preference. The whole family rated it as a place they would like to visit again.

    I stayed with my fam...

    I stayed with my family of four as a celebration of my recovery since I had been hospitalized and recuperating at home. The meals were served in a private room, all delivered at the right timing, beautifully presented, and very delicious. The amenities in the large public bath were well-equipped, and the room was quiet and relaxing. I was also able to change my pillow and exchange the yukata for one that fit my height. My family was very pleased. I have heard that the quality of hotels has generally declined, but this property remained comfortable, and I would like to visit again.

    I was able to relax.

    We received detailed guidance in advance, and a warm message for unexpected circumstances just before our stay. My friend who accompanied me was also impressed. The meals were all delicious and beautifully presented, and they accommodated our preferences for specific ingredients, leaving us very satisfied. The Room had a great view and was spacious. However, the bedroom was a bit dry, so a humidifier would have been appreciated. Also, the outdoor bath in the large public bath was a bit too hot, making it difficult to enjoy a long soak, which was a bit disappointing. Nonetheless, the staff were very courteous, and we were able to relax completely.

    Stay at Kinugawa Kanaya Hotel

    We had about an hour until check-in, but we were courteously attended to in the lounge. The Onsen felt very smooth and gentle on the skin, which was nice. Both dinner and breakfast had a unique selection of dishes and were very delicious. I was very impressed with the hospitality, including the free drinks in the refrigerator. I would definitely like to stay at this Hotel again.

    The best Stays

    We stayed at the Kanaya Hotel, which we had long admired as a couple. As per the reviews, the hospitality was excellent, and it was a great learning journey even outside the service industry. The bath and meals were the best among all the stays we've had so far. The only complaint was that at night, when the lights were turned off, the terrace light could not be switched off independently, so we had to turn off all the room lights. We checked with the front desk for other options, but they said we had to turn everything off. There was no partition door, and it was quite bright, so we turned everything off, but it was a bit scary when waking up to go to the bathroom in the dark. If it were a higher-grade room, it might have been different, so next time we would like to stay in a room with an open-air bath. It is a hotel worth visiting Kinugawa just to stay at this property. We were able to heal the fatigue of the year. Thank you very much.
