    All the staff members are wonderful.

    The interior design and Facility are, of course, wonderful, but what truly stands out is the staff. Their attentive service and warm smiles made my stay incredibly comfortable. If I may make a suggestion: regarding the "upgraded dishes" on the dinner menu, how about including an option where guests can choose ○○ dish by adding XX yen to the main dish? It might feel more seamless if such options were available from the start, even if it increases the price slightly. This small detail slightly detracted from an otherwise fantastic experience.

    We had an exceptional time!

    Impressed by Kanaya in Hakone, this time we visited Kinugawa. The atmosphere of the newly renovated Room and the spacious open-air Onsen were both exceptional and comfortable. For dinner, we added the recommended matsutake mushroom tempura, accompanied by hamo tempura—a truly exquisite presentation. Enjoying coffee and chocolates after dinner, time seemed to flow gently. The Room turndown service was flawless. The provided Masami Sato CD set a perfect mood with nostalgic songs for someone from my generation. For breakfast the next day, we chose a Japanese-style meal completed with tamago kake gohan (rice with raw egg). We purchased strawberry jam and dorayaki before checking out. Thinking about enjoying an open-air Onsen while snow falls quietly next time, we headed to Onsen Station. Thank you so much to all the staff!

    Exceptional hospitality! The upgraded Japanese-Western style room was different from the photos.

    This was my second stay, so I already knew it was a wonderful hotel. As expected, the hospitality of all the staff was excellent this time as well! Their warm smiles and thoughtful care made our trip truly delightful without any unpleasant moments. Even now, thinking back on it warms my heart. The meals were elegantly seasoned and delicious, and the beef stew tasted even better than last time. However, one point of disappointment was the partition installed on the terrace of the "Upgraded Japanese-Western Room." I understand it is to prevent visibility from upper floors into the bath area, but perhaps something like a roll-up blind could be used instead so that only those concerned can use it for privacy? (It would also be great if the privacy panel in front of the bath could be removable.) The partition dividing this terrace narrowed both the view from inside and from the bath area, creating a sense of confinement and taking away from what should have been an expansive terrace experience. Additionally, I heard at reception that all "Upgraded Japanese-Western Rooms" have these partitions; however, they are not reflected in photos or floor plans on IKYU.com or your official website. This is problematic since I chose this room based on photos showing no partitions... Aside from this issue with partitions, everything else about our room was clean and beautiful—amenities and beds were high-quality—and overall very impressive! In totality, we were extremely satisfied with our stay; we deeply appreciated your celebratory hospitality as well. Thank you so much!

    Excellent Hospitality

    From check-in to check-out, it was truly the best stay. The warm hospitality from the staff was exceptional, the room was spacious and very clean, allowing for a relaxing time. The teppanyaki meal was both enjoyable and delicious, with detailed explanations provided. The location was perfect as it seemed to be the peak of the autumn foliage season.     It became a memory of a lifetime.

    We visited to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. I had informed the Hotel in advance, and they surprised us with continuous celebrations and thoughtful gestures that truly moved us. Every time, we are completely satisfied with the food, Onsen, and service. There aren't many places like this, so Kinugawa Kanaya Hotel has become a very special place for us as a couple. The Room and the view from it were wonderful, allowing us to relax fully and feel ready to face tomorrow again. We sincerely thank all the staff members. Thank you very much!

    Exceptional hospitality!

    We stayed for one night as a couple to enjoy the autumn leaves. First, we were impressed by the spacious room, the view from the window, the gentle sound of Kinugawa River, and the vibrant autumn foliage on the mountains. We were relieved to visit during peak season. We thoroughly enjoyed the Onsen and had a delightful fusion kaiseki dinner that perfectly matched the autumn season. What impressed us most was your hospitality—preparing pillows, bedding with aromatic scents during our meal, and even offering delicious inari sushi as a late-night snack. It made our stay incredibly comfortable. We are grateful for providing shuttle service both ways and would love to visit again someday. Thank you very much for everything!

    We stayed here for a family trip, and it was a memorable experience from the warm welcome to the heartfelt farewell. The room was very spacious, combining a twin-bedded Western-style room with a Japanese-style tatami area. From the room, we enjoyed stunning views of the onsen town's stream and colorful mountains. The dinner's beef stew had an exceptional depth of flavor, enhanced by miso and soy sauce—something truly unique. The use of different broths like kombu dashi and bonito dashi for each dish brought out the best in every ingredient. Personally, I found breakfast even more satisfying than dinner. The onsen water was gentle on my skin, and its temperature was perfect for me. The staff provided friendly yet refined service that made our stay incredibly comfortable. A hotel is defined by its people, and this hotel's dedication to hospitality truly stood out as their pride shines through in every detail of their care.

    Due to a cancellation, we were able to stay in the upgraded Japanese-Western style room on short notice. Both the Onsen and cuisine were of high quality, making for a very satisfying stay. The cuisine, in particular, stood out with its flavorful broth and seasoning that matched our preferences—it's easy to see why many guests return just for the food. The Onsen's large public bath is highly recommended, but the private open-air bath in the room overlooking Kinugawa River is truly exceptional. Another highlight worth mentioning is the outstanding level of staff training. Everyone was friendly and efficient, ensuring a pleasant experience throughout our stay. We will definitely visit again!

    Completely stress-free and satisfying.

    Stayed one night with three female friends. Upon arriving at Kinugawa Onsen, we were greeted by a Century car and a kind driver waiting for us. The cleanliness, perfect air conditioning, delicious meals, relaxing Onsen, and sauna made it a stress-free and leisurely stay. When we were shown to our Room, it was a Japanese-style room with floor chairs that were uncomfortable for us. However, upon mentioning this to the staff, they promptly replaced all the chairs with regular ones. Additionally, one of my friends had her birthday during our stay. Despite the last-minute request on the day itself, they kindly prepared sweets and flowers for her celebration. The Kanaya chocolate and tea service after dinner added excitement to our experience. To top it off, when we returned to our Room later in the evening, there was even a late-night snack prepared for us (though we couldn’t eat it as we were too full). The staff's hospitality made this trip enjoyable and memorable! Thank you very much!

    The Perfect Getaway

    We booked our dream Hotel in Kinugawa for a memorable trip with friends. When we called in advance, we asked if there were any openings for the teppanyaki kaiseki dinner, which was fully booked at the time of reservation. The staff kindly accommodated us. Additionally, they offered a shuttle service from the station and picked us up in a luxury car, even though it was a short distance. They also willingly adjusted the pick-up time for us. Dinner was the long-awaited teppanyaki kaiseki. We enjoyed chatting with the chef, and not only was everything delicious but also plentiful—we finished every bite! The filet steak and mushroom chawanmushi left a particularly strong impression on us. The staff's hospitality was exceptional, making our stay truly comfortable and enjoyable throughout the day. Every request we made was met without refusal, and their proactive service deeply impressed us. We hope to visit again with family next time! Thank you so much for an unforgettable day!

    Hotel with Delicious Meals

    The hotel's meals were exceptionally delicious and unforgettable, leaving us highly satisfied. The wine pairing was perfectly selected to complement the dishes and is highly recommended. Starting in October, the new rice made the Japanese breakfast outstanding. During turndown service, an aroma was placed by the bedside, allowing for a restful night's sleep. The public bath is available from as early as 4:00 AM. The refrigerator offers free drinks, including sparkling water. The shuttle service uses a Century car and kindly dropped us off at a nearby tourist attraction on our way back. This hotel excels in customer-first hospitality, and we would love to visit again!

    The Facility feels generally old and lacks a sense of luxury. The mat by the window in the Room was torn in some places, but the cleaning was done thoroughly. At dinner, an aperitif was pre-set, but since I am not good with alcohol, I requested a different drink. It might be better to confirm alcohol preferences during check-in. Considering food waste, it would have been better to confirm in advance whether the late-night snack was necessary.

    Very satisfied.

    Based on a trusted friend's recommendation, I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay with my elderly mother. The valet parking upon arrival and the pleasant service at the front desk during check-in raised our expectations. We relaxed in the open-air bath in our Room and were thoroughly satisfied with the elegantly flavored meals. The chocolates after dinner were as delicious as rumored! On the second day, we took a walk to the station and noticed a staff member waiting to pick up another guest. Despite the hotel's proximity to the station, they even came to the ticket gate to greet us! Such excellent service. This made me feel reassured about visiting in winter by train, so I immediately made another Reservation. Although it was a bit of a splurge, this Hotel is worth every penny. Please continue to maintain this wonderful service!

    Visited during the Obon period in August. **What we liked:** From the moment we arrived by car, we were warmly welcomed with prompt and courteous service. The welcome drink and sweets at check-in, as well as the greeting upon arriving at our Room, were perfect. We truly felt the high quality of staff training and professionalism. Dinner was teppanyaki, and every dish was delicious, featuring local ingredients that made for a delightful and fulfilling experience. Thank you for accommodating changes to ingredients we couldn't eat. The Onsen was well-maintained, allowing us to relax comfortably. **What could be improved:** Although the building is old, it has been renovated nicely so there’s no issue there. However, in our Room where the bedroom space is separate from the living space, there was a sliding door that only closed halfway for some reason. It would have been better if it could close completely instead of being left partially open. Thank you very much!
