    I will visit again.

    Warm and welcoming service, the comfort of the onsen, delicious meals, and the opportunity to admire numerous works by Yokoyama Taikan made for a peaceful and pleasant stay. It is a refined yet unpretentious place that makes you want to visit again. Although the baths are a bit far, each one was charming in its own way. The room location, considering the needs of my elderly parents, was greatly appreciated. The massage chair in the room was excellent. We enjoyed our time as a family. The fragrant welcome drink was luxurious and delightful. I wanted to purchase the sweets provided in our room as souvenirs for my sister's family but unfortunately found out they required advance reservation by the previous day—it would have been helpful if I had known earlier. This is my only regret; I will make sure to reserve them next time! Everyone provided just the right amount of thoughtful care throughout our stay—thank you very much!

    Wonderful Inn

    A free Shuttle Service from Atami Station made it easy to arrive. Several staff members warmly welcomed us at the entrance and even took a commemorative photo for us right away. The welcome drink service in the Room overlooking the garden conveyed a heartfelt sense of hospitality, making me feel this Ryokan truly values its guests. Our Room was on an upper floor with a view of the ocean, allowing us to relax in comfort and enjoy the atmosphere. The massage chair was also a great bonus! Soaking in the Onsen while admiring the scenery was incredibly refreshing, washing away daily fatigue and leaving my skin smooth and rejuvenated. The meals were abundant in variety, served on beautifully crafted dishes that delighted both our eyes and taste buds—absolutely satisfying! I deeply appreciated the deliciousness of traditional Japanese cuisine during both breakfast and dinner. Despite using the footbath just before its closing time, we were kindly accommodated. The staff member assigned to our Room treated us exceptionally well, for which I am sincerely grateful. My apologies for forgetting about offering gratuity as it has become less common these days. This trip was a girls' getaway for three of us, and we were all deeply moved by this experience. We are already considering returning again someday—thank you very much!

    Family Trip

    I revisited this accommodation because I had a very good impression during my previous stay. It has become even more wonderful. Although I arrived earlier than planned, I was warmly welcomed and enjoyed a welcome drink inspired by cherry blossoms in a room with a garden view. The staff were considerate towards my elderly mother in various situations. The meals included dishes that matched the season and what we wanted to eat. They also carefully accommodated my mother's allergies, even rewriting the menu specifically for her needs. Both the staff and the food were excellent. I also enjoyed the bath and the garden.     Trip for Three Mature Ladies

    We visited as a group of three friends. Since it was a weekday, most guests were elderly women (including us). The renovated building had good facilities, but the Room had few outlets, making it inconvenient to charge smartphones. There were also many stairs leading to the large bath and dining area, making it feel like a maze. We even encountered some people who seemed lost. However, the large bath had soft water with an ocean view, providing a very pleasant experience. The meals were delicious and generously portioned. While climbing stairs might be difficult for me in 10 years, I would love to visit again. Thank you!

    77th Birthday Celebration for Two

    We visited by private car. The steep slope from Atami Station was narrow and a bit intimidating, but we had a relaxing time thanks to the hospitality of the staff. Thank you for your thoughtful gestures for our Kiju celebration.

    Traditional Ryokan

    We visited as a family of five. Thank you for providing a wheelchair for my elderly mother, which made moving around the facility much easier. The Onsen facility was excellent, especially Sanno no Yu with its views and sauna. The meals were very generous in portion size, and we left quite a bit before reaching the abalone dish. Please consider adjustments to accommodate guests with smaller appetites.

    A perfect accommodation you'll want to visit again

    I chose this accommodation after reading the reviews to treat my daughter, who lives far away on her own. The facility was clean, spacious, and a bit maze-like, but with few rooms and private dining spaces, we hardly encountered other guests outside of the bath. Flowers were arranged throughout the hallways, there were paintings displayed, and the beautifully maintained garden gave it the feel of a cultural heritage site. The meals were Kyoto-style kaiseki cuisine; not only was the food delicious but also served in beautiful dishes that we truly enjoyed as Kansai natives. Having the same staff member assist us from start to finish was also a wonderful touch. Words cannot fully express how much this experience exceeded our expectations—both my daughter and I were deeply moved and felt completely rejuvenated in both body and mind. We would love to visit again and recommend it to others as well. Thank you very much for this memorable stay!

    From the Room, you c...

    From the Room, you can enjoy the view of fully bloomed cherry blossoms while relaxing with a massage chair. The traditional Japanese-style room is well-appointed, allowing you to experience a luxurious Ryokan stay after a long time. Dinner was also delightful, featuring an abundance of seasonal spring ingredients and large abalone, leaving us completely satisfied with wonderful memories. I would highly recommend it to friends.

    I had a relaxing time.

    The light rain added a calm and pleasant atmosphere. The illuminated Atami Castle was visible from the Room, and the meals were delicious. Although the Room layout felt like a maze, exploring it was enjoyable.

    Satisfaction

    We stayed in two adjacent rooms as two families with my daughter's family. Although there was an error in the number of guests entered during the reservation on the site, it was calmly handled at check-in. The Japanese-style room + bedroom had ample space, and we stayed as a family of four with our two sons. My daughter and grandchildren also relaxed in our room until bedtime, but there were enough sofas and chairs for everyone to spend time comfortably. The massage chairs available in each room were very popular. The private onsen bath in the room allowed us to enjoy both the large public bath and the private bath. The balcony offered a beautiful view of the sea, making it very pleasant despite unfavorable weather; we even caught a glimpse of a stunning sunrise. To reach the dining area for breakfast and dinner, we had to pass through an outdoor corridor exposed to cold air, which felt very chilly—I thought it might be difficult to visit during winter. My grandchild thoroughly enjoyed feeding koi fish there!

    A serene and traditional Ryokan

    The grand entrance is impressive, and we enjoyed a delicious, spring-themed welcome drink in a separate room. Upon informing them in advance about using the stay for a birthday celebration, they provided special birthday arrangements during the meal and even gave us a gift. It was a wonderful Ryokan where you can experience authentic Japanese ambiance. The artwork "Chikuu" by Yokoyama Taikan displayed here is said to be genuine. Those who appreciate his work will find it even more satisfying.

    It was a cozy accommodation.

    Although we couldn't see the blue sea due to the unfortunate weather, this accommodation provided such a high level of satisfaction that it made up for it. Everyone in our group agreed it’s worth a repeat visit. The building layout was like a maze due to extensions, but that didn’t bother us at all. The room was spacious, clean, had great views, and offered a calm and relaxing atmosphere. It reminded me how nice tatami mats are. Since it was March, the meals were themed around seasonal celebrations with both beautiful presentation and delicious flavors. There were three Onsen baths with alternating schedules for men and women; however, we missed out on trying the waterfall bath and footbath. The room's private bath is also an Onsen! Atami was in between flower seasons (plum blossoms and Kawazu cherry blossoms had ended while Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms were about to start). However!! The Kawazu cherry blossoms in the garden were stunningly beautiful, and along the coast, Okanzakura cherry trees were just in full bloom! Perhaps because it was a weekday with fewer guests staying at the accommodation, we kept wondering why everything felt so comfortable here as we chatted together. The Welcome Drink surprised us pleasantly—unexpected yet delightful (laughs). Seeing MOET & CHANDON’s logo at the entrance of a traditional Japanese-style room... And cocktails made with kumquats were delicious too. Atami is so close to Tokyo that I wish I had visited more often before now. This has become one of my favorite places—I’d love to return during another season!

    We stayed at the accommodation for my partner's birthday trip. On the day, there was a fireworks festival coinciding with our stay, and we watched the fireworks from the viewing area inside the facility. The view was stunning, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The viewing area had just the right number of other guests, creating a pleasant atmosphere. We also used a private open-air bath and enjoyed all three large public baths, which were very clean and relaxing. Unfortunately, we ran out of time to use the sauna, which was a bit disappointing. Both breakfast and dinner were incredibly delicious, leaving us fully satisfied with their taste. The staff kindly assisted in arranging both a gift and cake for my partner, which made them very happy—something I am truly grateful for. The facility itself was quiet and allowed us to spend our time in peace. Perhaps due to thoughtful design, even though there must have been several other guests staying at the same time, it felt rare to cross paths or hear any noise from others—a detail we appreciated greatly. It’s an accommodation that makes you want to stay again!

The meals were tasty but felt like something was missing. The public bath had areas with strong chlorine smell. The room facilities were disappointing.     It became a very memorable experience. Thank you very much. My parents have difficulty walking, but the staff provided very kind and pleasant service. The room was upgraded, and we were given a room with an onsen in the private bath, which was greatly appreciated in the end. The facility rating is 4 because it is an older accommodation with additional constructions, making the structure complex. I managed to take my mother to the nearest large public bath once, but my father found it too far and complicated to reach, so he only used the private bath in our room without visiting any of the three onsens available. However, the private bath in our room was excellent with great views and being an onsen itself; we were truly grateful for it. The garden was magnificent as well; watching several Japanese white-eyes come to perch on trees right outside our window added charm to our stay. Overall, there was a unique atmosphere that made even just coming to Atami for this accommodation worthwhile for my parents—they seemed thoroughly satisfied. We would love to visit again during another season!

    We chose Daikanso as a special treat for our group of six classmates to celebrate. The sashimi had gold leaf with the character for "celebration," we received chopsticks as commemorative gifts, and the bath made our skin smooth—choosing this accommodation was definitely the right decision.

    60th Birthday Celebration

    I stayed at this Ryokan for a Kanreki celebration, as I had been curious about it for some time. The view from the hilltop in Atami was spectacular. The interior has a nostalgic Showa retro vibe, but I enjoyed the beautiful flower arrangements and three Onsen baths. The footbath with an ocean view was also delightful. Dinner featured delicious dishes creatively prepared with seasonal ingredients and served on elegant tableware, one after another. You can even take a leisurely walk to Atami Station from here.

    Six months ago, my father passed away, and we took a memorial trip to Atami, a place he loved dearly. The breathtaking scenery, attentive service, wonderful Onsen, and delicious meals made it an absolutely satisfying trip. The food was so delicious that even my son was extremely happy.     Excellent hospitality

    Recently, I have stayed at many Ryokans with buffet-style accommodations, so it was refreshing to stay at a traditional Ryokan after a long time. The courteous service upon arrival, delicious meals and hospitality, and the wonderful Onsen made me truly satisfied. It was a Property that makes you want to stay again.

    A Blissful Moment

    We had a wonderful stay with three friends. It was our first time using this Property, and it was a very charming Ryokan. The Room, meals in the morning and evening, bath, and hospitality were all excellent, allowing us to spend a blissful time. We definitely want to stay again.     Atami After a Long Time

    Stayed with my husband for one night. The service was absolutely wonderful! From the welcome to the Room guidance, and the hospitality at dinner and breakfast, the same staff member took care of us. They even came outside to see us off when we left. It was a lovely room attendant.

    Stayed for one night on February 12th. I had wanted to stay here for a while, and finally, my wish came true. Despite the forecast, we were blessed with fine weather (though it seemed to rain at midnight), and I was able to enjoy the Atami Plum Garden. The Room offered a view of Sagami Bay and the garden, and it was spacious enough to relax. The indoor bath was also nice. In the garden, the red and white plum blossoms and Atami cherry blossoms were beautifully in bloom. For the evening kaiseki meal, I requested the Yumi Plan with small portions, and it was thoroughly satisfying. In the morning, the grilled horse mackerel was delicious. It was perfectly fatty and excellent. I intended to ask where the dried fish shop was at checkout, but I missed the chance. It's a pity! I would like to stay again when the opportunity arises. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Legacy yet elegant Facility

    I enjoyed the Onsen bath with an open-air bath and sauna. The separate rooms ensure complete privacy. The same staff served both dinner and breakfast, and I felt their thoughtfulness throughout. The temperature of the Onsen was around 40 degrees, which felt a bit warm. In any case, the room and open-air bath offer an excellent view. You can see not only Hatsushima but also Izu Oshima. The white plum trees planted just outside the room were in full bloom, and Japanese white-eyes visited several times. It was a great stay with a satisfaction score of over 95 points. I would like to stay again.

    I visited with my da...

    I visited with my daughter who has a leg injury due to a fracture. Since it is a Japanese Ryokan, I was worried about moving around inside, but we received various considerations for the Room and other aspects, allowing us to enjoy a relaxing holiday. The garden was also lovely, but the meals were incredibly delicious and carefully prepared, which impressed me. My husband, who stayed at home with our old dog, was envious, so we will definitely visit again.

    The staff's response was kind and pleasant. The Room was a renovated Western-style one, and even my wife, who is sensitive to smells, was satisfied. Some of the meals were served cold, but there was a good variety, and the portions were small, which was just right for us as elderly guests. The baths, especially the open-air ones, had unique features and were enjoyable, but the water temperature was too high, which caused my wife to feel unwell. Overall, it was a good Property.
