    Executive Floor

    Stayed on the Executive Floor. The 24th top floor offers a great view, and you can enjoy a drink, dessert, and more at the lounge. Parking is free, making it a very cost-effective stay. However, one major disappointment was the hairdryer. It felt sticky and unpleasant to use. It was also covered in dust and didn’t seem cleanable. I had to wrap a hand towel around the handle to use it as touching it directly was impossible. This should be replaced with a new one.

    It was a very satisfying accommodation.

    Thank you as always. It's a comfortable place to stay. The location is convenient, making it a Hotel you'll want to visit again soon. The only disappointing point is that wired LAN cannot be used. For some reason, it's always unavailable. While it's true that the demand for wireless LAN is high and I absolutely need Wi-Fi too, I believe there are still needs for wired LAN as well, so I hope this can be addressed. Many Hotels offer wired connections.

    I had a relaxing stay.

    I stayed on the Executive Floor. The lounge offered unlimited plates and drinks, which seemed very cost-effective. Additionally, snacks and drinks in the room were free. Breakfast was separate, but it seemed like booking it as a set with the hotel reservation would have been more economical. I stayed for relaxation purposes but ended up taking a one-hour walk around Old Sakai Port because I was too full. The well-maintained paths along the seaside were easy to walk on, and after breakfast the next day, I took another stroll with a takeout café au lait in hand. However, as mentioned in other reviews, some facilities are slightly outdated; there was some noise from drainage pipes and noticeable sounds of doors opening and closing from other rooms. That said, the windows were clean, allowing for pleasant views of the scenery—something I greatly appreciated—and there were no issues with customer service at all. To relax further in my room, I checked out the room service menu; prices were reasonable and looked promising. However, being too full to order anything this time around means I'll save it for my next visit! Room temperature could be adjusted via controls on the bed's headboard area. Facility information was accessible through a QR code provided at check-in. I hope these services will continue in future stays! Thank you very much!

    The view was truly breathtaking.

    I enjoyed starting the day by opening the curtains and watching the sea, morning clouds, and sky brighten up, which put me in a great mood to head out. The Hotel is directly connected to the station, making transportation very convenient. There is also a tourist information center at the station where you can purchase the Sakai Hospitality Ticket. The toilet in the Room was partitioned, but it would have been better if it were separate for easier use even when someone is using the bath. I would love to stay at this Hotel again if I visit Sakai.

    Too Generous to Believe! Great Value Hotel

    Used for a business trip. Conveniently located just under 10 minutes from Namba Station by Nankai Line and directly connected to the station, with views of the sea and cityscape. Stayed on a high-floor plan this time, which included complimentary services such as dessert plates (also offering appetizer plates) and drinks at the 1F café lounge, free snacks and beverages in the refrigerator, and a clean, spacious room—all at a price lower than that of a business hotel. The cost-performance was so exceptional it almost felt too good to be true! Feeling apologetic, I ordered room service—only to be amazed by four large shrimp with heads still on in their fried dish. Such generosity! I definitely plan to stay here again next time. The staff provided excellent service, making for an enjoyable stay. Thank you very much!

    This time, something a little disappointing happened.

    I always enjoy staying at your accommodation, but this time, a hotel staff member spent about an hour in the room trying to fix the wired connection, which ultimately could not be resolved. More than that, I was unable to relax during that time. Not only was the promised service unavailable, but being able to relax in the room is a fundamental part of accommodation services. I hope you will seriously reflect on this matter. Although my feedback may seem harsh, I will continue staying here and kindly ask you to remember that guests seek comfort during their stay. Additionally, the water pressure in both the shower and bathtub was very weak, which took extra time and caused minor stress.

    Always relax and unwind at your leisure.

    This is my regular accommodation when I drink. The facility is a bit old, but it is well-maintained and easy to use. The staff provides excellent service, allowing for a peaceful stay. All that's left is for the Sky Lounge to reopen, and it would be perfect.

    It is a good Hotel.

    This Hotel offers a relaxing and comfortable stay on weekdays. Weekends tend to be busier with many international tourists, leading to a crowded breakfast area and limited food options. Weekdays are highly satisfying. Although the structure is old, the Room is quiet and peaceful.

    Is this really a 5-star hotel!? The experience raised doubts about the claim. Front desk staff were impersonal, and although it wasn’t busy on the day of my stay, there was no room upgrade offered. The poor service from younger staff members stood out in particular. At the breakfast restaurant, staff prioritized their own tasks over guest needs. I almost bumped into a male staff member and instinctively said "sorry," but he ignored me. Additionally, during breakfast hours, a female staff member was sluggishly setting up for lunch instead of focusing on guests' needs. This ruined the start of my day due to the unpleasant atmosphere created by this restaurant's service. The only saving grace was the polite demeanor of senior front desk staff and housekeeping personnel. If this hotel claims to be 5-star accommodation, they should retrain their team on proper hospitality standards for hoteliers.

    The food was very de...

    The food was very delicious, and the service was polite, but the 100-minute time limit for dinner felt too short. Since we had an elderly person with us, we had to choose their dishes as well, which made it a bit rushed. A minimum of 120 minutes would be appreciated. The room was old but spacious and satisfying. It would have been even better if there was an Onsen. Overall, it felt like good value for the price. Thank you very much!

    Stayed for 4 days bu...

    Stayed for 4 days but was not very satisfied. Although I requested only towel and amenity replacements instead of full room cleaning, there were issues even with the amenity replacement service, and the response was not very good. Additionally, the hairdryer was old and almost caught fire, making it too scary to use afterward. There was also a slight odor in the ice machine room, which made me hesitant to use the ice. It felt like an accommodation of a business hotel class.

    Cleaning noise, disturbance

    We kindly request your attention regarding morning cleaning. While we appreciate the effort put into cleaning the rooms early in the morning, some guests may wish to rest quietly during this time. Noise from neighboring rooms or children jumping upstairs at night can be tolerated to some extent, but we believe it would be helpful to establish a rule for keeping noise levels low until 10:00 AM. We understand that cultural differences among international staff may present challenges, but we kindly ask for your consideration on this matter. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

    The location is excellent.

    Thank you for your continued hospitality. However, it is a bit disappointing that attention to detail seems to be lacking. For example, the key for a Multiple Night Stay did not work on the second day, and there were communication issues with room service. On the 15th, it appeared that high school baseball players participating in the Koshien tournament were staying at the accommodation, and about 10 staff members including the manager were lined up near the entrance to greet them. Meanwhile, there was no one at the front desk, and we had to wait for a long time. Despite having 10 staff members standing by doing nothing but waiting... We wanted assistance because our key wasn’t working properly; since the front desk is close to the entrance, some consideration such as being more attentive would have been greatly appreciated.

    If staying in Sakai, this is the only choice, though not a luxury hotel.

    The bathroom was spacious and user-friendly, with a decent selection of amenities. The presence of an air purifier was a nice touch. There was a coffee machine, but the cups provided were thin, small, and without handles, making it difficult to hold due to the heat and causing spills; I ended up drinking cold coffee. Breakfast lacked variety and flavor. While the location is excellent and it appears to be a luxury hotel at first glance, it is essentially a business hotel. Understanding this will make for an enjoyable stay.

    A Hotel You'll Want to Visit Again

    This was my second stay, a 2-night, 3-day visit. I returned because I had a great experience last time. The reason for my trip to Osaka was the Expo, and the location is excellent for Expo visitors. There are shuttle buses and even boats available, both within walking distance. While the Room and bathroom show some signs of aging, what impressed me most was the staff's attentive service. I appreciated their services like receiving delivered luggage and arranging shipments for me. The Room cleaning also seemed thorough. Thanks to either being far from ground-level noise or having quiet neighboring rooms by chance, it was completely silent, allowing me to sleep peacefully. I would love to stay here again!

    Recommended for those who don't mind an older style.

    We stayed for 3 nights as a family of three. As mentioned in the reviews we saw beforehand, while the facility's age is noticeable, we were able to stay in a spacious room at a price comparable to a business hotel, making it very cost-effective. (For example, the shower temperature adjustment knob was stiff and hard to turn, and part of the sofa cover was damaged. However, for this price range, it didn’t bother us.) Regarding hotel services, we didn’t have high expectations initially but were pleased with how smoothly our luggage storage request was handled. We had no complaints at all. Since it was a weekday, breakfast wasn’t crowded and was comfortable to enjoy. Our stay was for sightseeing purposes: we visited Expo Park by boat, went to the aquarium with just one bus ride, explored ancient tombs using rental bicycles, and walked to an izakaya for dinner in the evening. Overall satisfaction is high. If I may suggest something—it would be great if there were an indoor pool available even for an additional fee. It seems there used to be one based on old reviews with photos included. Also, we were informed that "the ancient tombs cannot be seen from shared areas of the hotel." They weren’t visible from our room either; it would be helpful if plans specified whether rooms have such views so guests can choose accordingly!

    The restaurant was excellent.

    Although it is a Suite Room, the cleaning level was too low, even compared to other hotels in the same price range. There was dust here and there, especially on items like spoons. While the surface of the bathtub was clean, areas like the back of handrails were not cleaned. Since I used this room for a date, lack of cleanliness is a concern. The bed was good, and I was satisfied with the provided shampoo and body soap. I also used the restaurant, which was excellent in terms of both taste and variety. My partner enjoyed it as well, so that part was great. It might be a room with less frequent use; however, as guests, we are not aware of such circumstances. If you call it an Executive Room or Suite Room, please ensure proper cleaning standards are maintained accordingly.

    Close to the station with beautiful night views from the room. The room was clean, and I had a restful sleep. The breakfast was also delicious. I was very satisfied and would love to stay at this hotel again next time.

    Stay with the Dinner Barbecue Plan

    Staying at the hotel and doing a barbecue by yourself might not be ideal. Not satisfied for the price. I would prefer cooked meals to be provided.

    Comfortable Stay in a Convenient Location

    We stayed for 3 nights in a double room on the executive floor as a couple. The proximity to Kansai Airport and the direct bus from Sakai Station to the Expo venue were deciding factors, but we couldn't get seats on the morning bus as it was fully booked, so we ended up taking the train. However, it took less than an hour to reach Sakurajima even during rush hour, so there was no issue at all. The room was spacious with a great view and very comfortable. If I had one request, it would be that the sofa was positioned facing away from the window; I think it would have been better arranged to enjoy the view while seated. Also, I had some concerns about the description of a unit bath in the reservation details, but in reality, there was a spacious sink area and although the toilet was within the bathroom space, it was separated by a door into its own private section which made it very convenient. If photos of this bathroom setup were available on your reservation site, I might have chosen this room more proactively. Since ours was a multiple night stay, we informed reception that cleaning wasn't necessary and only requested fresh towels and some amenities be left for us. However, they still cleaned thoroughly each day and replenished tea bags, cold drinks, snacks etc., which were very helpful when relaxing in our room. The tea bags for black tea and jasmine tea were delicious; having a teapot provided as well made me especially happy as an avid tea drinker. The breakfast buffet got quite crowded every day with occasional delays in restocking items but offered such an extensive menu that it wasn’t bothersome at all. While not related to any fault of your hotel staff’s service directly—there were moments where other guests lacked consideration (e.g., taking large quantities of bread), which felt slightly disappointing. We visited during bar time twice—the calm atmosphere paired alongside stylish hors d'oeuvres/desserts & drinks created delightful experiences! It felt elegant yet casual enough whenever needing brief downtime between activities—a wonderful touch overall! After checking out luggage storage allowed us freedom exploring nearby ancient tombs via buses initially then returning through Daisen Park using rental bicycles conveniently dropped off close-by afterward! Cycling around Sakai city proved enjoyable too—next visit perhaps exploring port areas similarly sounds appealing! Lastly sincere thanks extended towards friendly attentive staff ensuring utmost comfort throughout stay surely making future trips flying into Osaka likely choosing here again!

    I used the lounge in the evening. The man at the reception neither greeted me with a "Welcome" nor thanked me with a "Thank you" when I left. It was unpleasant and disappointing.

    I have been using this Hotel since the Rihga Royal days. After COVID-19, many changes have been made to the Facility and services. It may be difficult to fully restore it to its former state, but I sincerely hope for it. The large public bath, breakfast on the 25th-floor Executive Floor, Japanese cuisine at Naniwa... That said, the location is very convenient, and this Hotel overlooking Sakai's birthplace has an invisible charm that evokes the prosperity of the Sengoku era. I look forward to continuing my stays here. Thank you in advance. If even one of these could be revived...!

    Stayed for 2 nights with No Meals Included.

    Directly connected to Sakai Station, the Hotel is convenient as you can go back and forth without getting wet even on rainy days. For those who find the Hotel's restaurant expensive, there are fast food outlets, convenience stores, Starbucks, and dining options at the station. It is also close to the old Sakai Port where boats to Expo are available, making it very convenient for Expo visitors. You can also walk to historical sites such as Sen no Rikyu's residence ruins and Yosano Akiko's birthplace. The Room was spacious and the surroundings were quiet, making for a very pleasant stay.

    An old building, but sufficient for accommodation only.

    The lobby is well-maintained, but the room feels somewhat outdated. However, it is thoroughly cleaned, so there are no issues for accommodation. It was disappointing that the restaurant and bar on the upper floors (around the 25th floor) were closed, but the Chinese cuisine on the second floor was highly satisfying. The service was provided by foreign staff who attended to us politely.
