We were able to relax in a quiet setting surrounded by nature. The private open-air bath attached to the room was spacious, and we could unwind in the hot spring water. The amenities—especially ReFa—were excellent. We also enjoyed both dinner and breakfast in our room at a leisurely pace as a family.

We stayed here for a family trip with my parents. At check-in, the staff explained the building while we enjoyed the beautiful garden view, which helped us understand the Accommodation even better. The welcome sweets and tea we were served were also delicious. As I am pregnant, I mentioned that I was avoiding caffeine, raw foods, and alcohol. They kindly switched the coffee prepared in our Room to decaf, provided non-caffeinated sword bean tea, and changed the tea served with meals to black soybean tea. I was truly impressed by their warm hospitality. Dinner was excellent as well. They even accommodated me with a separate menu, and I really appreciated their thoughtful attention to detail. Every dish was delicious, the portions were just right, and it was a wonderful meal overall. The private Onsen in our Room could be enjoyed 24 hours a day whenever we liked, which was fantastic. My parents seemed very satisfied too. This was our last family trip before our baby arrives, and we are truly glad we chose to stay here. Once things settle down, we would love to return and stay in a different Room as well.

This was the best value for money among all the Hotels I’ve stayed at around Tokyo. I’ll choose this place again whenever I come to visit Chiba. The breakfast and dinner were both delicious, and the dinner in particular was truly professional-level—my whole family loved it. I was amazed at how spacious the Room was. I didn’t expect to have such a large Room at this Accommodation Fee, so it was a pleasant surprise. The condition of the guest room was even better than in the photos, and everything was impeccably cleaned.

Spending time in the lovely garden with the mountainside glowing in the setting sun as a backdrop was truly relaxing. In addition to the warm welcome, both dinner and breakfast were satisfying, and the hot spring in harmony with nature was exceptional.

I came here with a colleague, and it was unbelievably luxurious—we were beyond excited. I truly felt glad we came.

Unfortunately, it was raining, but towels were provided in front of the front desk, and I was impressed by how thoughtful that was. The hotel is close to the station, and the bath was great. After bathing, I enjoyed some ice cream while taking in the beautiful view. The late-night soba was excellent, and breakfast was also very delicious. I would love to stay again if I have the chance. Used for one night during a trip around Tohoku. I booked at a great price and honestly didn’t expect much, but the value for money was outstanding—I was truly impressed. The room felt a bit dated, but it was kept very clean and was spacious enough to be comfortable. I also loved the ocean view at sunrise. What really stood out was the buffet. They offered plenty of local specialties such as Morioka reimen, wanko soba, and imoni, and the roast beef was authentic. Not only Japanese dishes but also Western and Chinese options—an incredible variety with so many choices. Lots of desserts too! There was even a chocolate fountain that kids would love, and the fruit quality was excellent. Everything tasted delicious—truly wonderful. The all-you-can-drink alcohol selection was also extensive; it almost made me worry whether they can make a profit with this price for one night with two meals included. Breakfast was just as fantastic. The buffet layout is refined and uncluttered as well. I’ve stayed in many places, but this buffet is better than that of certain members-only resort hotels. It really reminded me that hospitality matters more than facilities. It’s lively with what seem to be repeat guests from nearby prefectures, yet they don’t appear to overbook beyond their capacity—the service is attentive throughout. It’s a shame it’s too far for me to visit often. I’m honestly jealous of those who live nearby. A family trip here would be guaranteed to satisfy everyone.

The amenities and facilities were excellent, and we were very satisfied. Our dog was happy too (the room is long and narrow, so a small dog can even do a light run). They also provide insect-repellent measures (such as mosquito coils) and plenty of pet supplies (pee pads, diapers, body wipes, etc.), which made us feel at ease. Breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious. Next time, we’d like to try the dinner plan. For bathing, you use the nearby attached facility (large public bath), but this time we used the in-room shower.\n The weather was cloudy to rainy, but we still enjoyed our stay.\n A walk to the nearby sandy beach is just right for a dog walk. If you’re not doing BBQ for dinner, there’s a 7-Eleven about a 6–7 minute walk away where you can get food and drinks.\n It seems delivery is also available—we noticed this at check-out.\n The room was kept clean, and any odors were hardly noticeable.

I ended up traveling on short notice during Silver Week and booked in a hurry, but it’s reassuring when the service is consistently reliable anywhere. I gave 3 stars because I was injured for an unrelated reason and didn’t use the bath (I only rinsed off with the shower).

This was our second stay at Sekiyo. We were upgraded from Taikan and were able to stay in Kangetsuan. It was our first time in a detached guest room, and it was very quiet. From time to time, small birds came to the tree by the window, and my spouse and I were able to relax at a leisurely pace. We also fully enjoyed both the indoor bath and the open-air bath. The meals were wonderful—there were so many dishes that we couldn’t finish them all, and everything was delicious. The attentive service from the room attendant was excellent as well, and we would love to visit Sekiyo again.

Due to various circumstances, I hadn’t been able to visit for quite some time, so this was my first stay in about two years—but it was still an Accommodation that left me completely satisfied, just as always. From the Shuttle Service onward, everyone was kind and helpful, and after arriving the stay was truly comfortable—warm and homey—and I was able to relax at a leisurely pace and unwind from everyday stress. At check-in I was told, “Our sommelier is on duty today.” I love wine and always look forward to dinner here, and this time the sommelier came to my table and kindly explained many things in detail to someone like me who’s simply a wine lover without much knowledge. Just listening and imagining those explanations while drinking made it an incredibly enjoyable time. Of course, every dish was delicious as well. Thank you for your thoughtful care even though I was traveling solo. I felt lucky that my stay happened to coincide with a day when the sommelier was working. This Accommodation always makes me feel a little sad when it’s time to leave—and from that very moment it makes me think, “I’ll work hard so I can come back again.” I will definitely stay again. Thank you so much for everything!!

The Room was very clean and spacious. The view from the balcony was great, and I was impressed by how spotless it was—clean enough to lie down on. The staff were cheerful and kind. I would definitely stay here again!

I had work scheduled in Nagasaki on Sunday and planned to arrive early in the morning, but I ended up staying the night before at short notice. (If Setre hadn’t had availability, I might not have stayed the extra night.) I also enjoyed the summer lounge treat of shaved ice, and for the first time I joined the evening “Saruku” walk as well. Since I ate a late lunch, I came back from Saruku and fully enjoyed the lounge’s late-night snack service too. I slept very well. In some regional areas it can be hard to arrange a taxi in the morning, but that wasn’t a concern in Nagasaki. I was able to take my time with breakfast and head to work with plenty of time. The Room is understandably showing its age, so I’d rate it a 4—but that sense of history is part of this Hotel’s charm, and I had no complaints at all. One note: there are no toothbrushes among the amenities here, and since I forgot mine, I went to a convenience store. It’s actually very close by. A Hotel where you can both have fun and relax. I’d love to stay here again next time I’m in Nagasaki. (The staff also told me about Setre properties in Kansai—I'd like to visit one someday.)

We stayed in the Force Room. Thank you for accommodating our last-minute Reservation.\nAlthough the Room is a separate building with a thatched roof, it is not an old traditional house; the interior has the latest facilities, so we were able to stay as comfortably as we would at a city Hotel.\nFrom the Room, we could see the thatched roofs of other rooms, and it felt like we had traveled back in time to another world.\nWe used the spacious open-air bath in our Room; the hot spring water was slightly cloudy with mineral deposits floating on top, and it was wonderful.\nThe large public bath is also right by the river, offering an open, airy feel and an excellent location.\nHighly recommended Accommodation.

I’d heard that Hanaya Tokubei is a great place to stay if you’re visiting Dorogawa Onsen, and I was lucky enough to book the last available room. The atmosphere was wonderful, with a lounge where jazz plays and a veranda used to welcome yamabushi practitioners. There were four of us staying, and the room was spacious; the meals were delicious and just the right amount. All of the staff provided courteous service, making it a truly warm and welcoming inn. Thank you very much!

I usually stay around Lake Kawaguchi when traveling, but this time I spent one night in Kofu. This is the Hotel I used to think “What a lovely exterior” when commuting during my junior high and high school days. It’s such a long-established place that just about every local knows it. The calm lobby has the dignity of over 100 years of history, and it feels wonderfully relaxing. I was also very satisfied with the spacious Room. I was impressed by how spotless everything was and how well it was maintained. The bath on a different floor is small, but full of charm and really lovely. Soaking in the cute pot bath was soothing, and it kept me warm afterward—an excellent Onsen. For dinner we had Chinese cuisine at “Ran-en,” which is also famous for its great food. It lived up to expectations. The service was attentive, and I understood why it’s so highly rated. After dinner, we stopped by the lounge bar. The young bartender’s service was sincere and thoughtful—so much so that even I, who don’t usually drink much, ended up ordering a glass. Thank you for looking up the recipe and making a cocktail that wasn’t on the menu. With acquisitions of Hotels progressing in Yamanashi these days, this is exactly the kind of Hotel I hope will keep going strong. I’ll be back again at year-end.

This Accommodation keeps improving every time I stay. The service and cleanliness are flawless.

My first time back in Kinosaki Onsen in decades. I wasn’t sure which Accommodation to choose, but “Away from the hustle and bustle” was the deciding factor. Just as the Reviews said, the food was unquestionably delicious, and the tableware and presentation were wonderful. What impressed me most was the attendant who looked after us for both days without change. She always greeted us with a smile, our conversations flowed easily, and she made us feel at home. She also answered our questions about the onsen town accurately, so we could enjoy visiting the public baths with peace of mind. Because we had to leave early for our own reasons, they prepared breakfast outside regular hours, and even drove us to the bus stop in front of Kinosaki Onsen Station. With everyone’s help at this Ryokan, we were able to start our journey home safely. I can’t thank them enough—thank you very much. Her wonderful smile is my best memory from this trip. I would love to stay again.

We had a very comfortable stay. The property was spotless, the room was well maintained, and the spacious bathroom with a sauna was very relaxing. The rice cooker, toaster, and coffee maker were all Balmuda appliances, which made everything easy to use. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.
