Despite being located in a lively part of town, the property felt like a different world—wrapped in serene tranquility. The cool breeze drifting through the reed doors and the pleasantly textured ajiro weaving, which I experienced for the first time, deeply moved me as part of Japan’s beautiful “summer setting.” Listening to the gentle sound of the shishi-odoshi echoing through the impeccably kept garden and spending time in the dignified tea room were truly luxurious moments that soothed my soul. The food and drinks were also exceptional—everything felt wonderfully satisfying to all five senses. Thank you sincerely for your thoughtful touches throughout. It became a wonderful summer memory, and my first visit back to Kyoto in a while was made even more special.

We truly felt your wonderful service and hospitality throughout our stay. The location, the meals, the baths, and all of the staff were genuinely excellent. You even prepared kaiseki cuisine for our 9-year-old son and accommodated a change to our breakfast time. Both the dinner kaiseki and breakfast were absolutely delicious, and it was clear how much care and effort went into them.

Both the interior and exterior are new, clean, and functional. The parking lot is spacious, making it easy to park. The beer and sake after a bath were excellent. I tried four types of sake, and all of them were delicious. All the meals were delicious as well—the Tamba black soybean tempura was outstanding. They also had everything I wanted to drink—beer, sake, wine, and shochu—so I ended up drinking a little too much.

Meals are served in a private dining room where you can bring your pet, the food is delicious, and the staff’s hospitality is excellent.

Last summer, we stayed here for the first time and our whole family was thrilled to enjoy such an extraordinary getaway, so this year we extended our stay to three nights. Since we thought we might not make it by check-in time, we let them know we would be late, and they responded very pleasantly. Check-in was until 6:00 PM, but when we arrived around 7:00 PM and went to reception, the staff greeted us with a wonderful smile and said “Welcome back,” providing truly perfect service. Right after checking in, as we drove out for dinner, we noticed that the decorative lights that had been on earlier were now off—and realized they had turned them on as a landmark to help us find reception. We felt sorry for the trouble and were impressed by how thoughtful the staff were. Because we have a dog, we chose a type with a large dog run and BBQ facilities, and it exceeded our expectations. The Room was spacious and spotless, amenities were well prepared, and it was so perfect it was hard to find anything to complain about. We’d love to keep using it like a vacation home in the future, and I think it’s also ideal for multiple families or three-generation trips.

My spouse, our younger daughter, and my 88-year-old mother stayed for one night. The arrival briefing was thorough and easy to understand, and whenever we had questions—at any time and in any place—the staff always responded accurately and courteously. What made us happiest was celebrating my husband’s 70th birthday at the restaurant: they kindly treated us to a special dish with sea bream, red rice, and sake. They also provided my husband with a purple outfit and took a commemorative family photo for us. It became a wonderful celebration, and we were deeply moved by the restaurant team’s thoughtful hospitality. The food was excellent, especially the fresh seafood. We also really enjoyed the Awa Odori event.\nThanks to everyone at the Hotel and restaurant, it was a truly memorable trip, and we are sincerely grateful.

The room offers stunning views of the city and lake. The hotel restaurant serves authentic local cuisine, and everything was delicious.

This is our third year in a row staying here, and thanks to you we were able to relax again this time. The delicious sweets and tea served upon arrival, the beautiful greenery of the trees visible throughout the property, the clean and comfortable Room, the spacious open-air bath in the Room, the large public baths and private baths—each with its own unique atmosphere—and the meals that were a delight to look at and, of course, tasted wonderful—everything was outstanding. We are also grateful to all of your staff for their consistently pleasant hospitality. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

My wife and I are truly grateful. From check-in to check-out, we received exceptionally attentive hospitality. Starting with the wonderful attendant who looked after us with such a warm smile, every member of staff impressed us with their professionalism and thoughtful attention to detail—exactly as described in the Reviews. The beautifully renewed design blending Japanese and Western styles was delightful, and everything throughout the Facility was impeccably cleaned and well maintained, creating a wonderful sense of freshness and comfort. As lovers of traditional Ryokan stays, both my wife and I were completely satisfied. We were also thrilled by the wide selection of stylish yukata for women—and even more so to receive an adorable pouch filled with amenities. When we mentioned in advance that we were visiting for our anniversary, you prepared framed red-and-white crane mizuhiki decorations at the dining venue; chopstick rests featuring celebratory characters; sekihan served in a charming bowl marked with “good fortune”; and even a commemorative ceramic tumbler set as a gift. Dinner was outstanding: exquisite ingredients beautifully presented on elegant tableware, creating an impressive experience that delighted all five senses. We could truly feel the aesthetic sense and craftsmanship of your kitchen team in every detail. Of course, everything—from taste and portion size to temperature control (hot/cold) as well as timely serving and clearing—was flawless. We have stayed at many luxury Ryokan and heritage Hotels over the years for our anniversaries, but there is no doubt that Kamon has become an unforgettable Accommodation for us. Even on our way home, my wife and I couldn’t stop talking about your hospitality. We would love to return again, so we hope you will welcome us back when we do. This Accommodation let us fully enjoy both the sea and the Onsen. The sound of the waves heard from the tatami Room was truly, truly soothing—it was a Room that made us want to keep watching and listening forever, and to stay longer. From arrival to departure, every staff member was kind and attentive. We were able to enjoy the meals, drinks, and even late-night ramen. There wasn’t a single thing to complain about—this is a place we absolutely want to visit again. Thank you for such a wonderful time.

This was our first time staying with our Toy Poodle. The amenities, dog run, and photo spots were irresistible for dog lovers. Everything was clean, and there were no unpleasant odors. Above all, the Hotel staff were kind. With their pleasant greetings and helpful support when we needed it, the atmosphere was wonderful, and we would definitely like to stay again.

I had admired this Hotel for a long time, and this time I finally decided to stay. I was delighted by an unexpected Room upgrade, and soaking in the bathtub at a relaxed pace soothed my flight fatigue, leaving me feeling more energized each day (haha). A quiet, relaxing Hotel with just 10 Rooms. The Rooms are spacious, and the staff are wonderful. Of course, the Japanese-Western fusion cuisine is truly satisfying—you can taste the quality of the ingredients. Location: Very convenient and close to Hakodate’s highlights (Ropeway [Mt. Hakodate] to historic buildings [Motomachi] to the Bay Area, etc.). *Some guests may notice minor details, but for us (an elderly couple), it was a very satisfying stay. *Thank you very much.

My mother, who stayed with me and uses a wheelchair, received thoughtful and warm support, which was a great help. I only get to see my mother, who lives far away, a few times a year. I’m truly glad we were able to spend our precious time together here in comfort and at ease. My mother was very happy as well, so we would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

This Hotel is perfect in every way—from the Room size and hospitality to all services and cleanliness. It was the best Hotel I have ever stayed at. I felt the price could easily be twice as high. Above all, it was calm and relaxing, with only Japanese adults staying there, which helped me truly unwind. I would love to visit again.

Thanks to the Diamond member benefit, we received a Room upgrade. The moment we stepped inside, the space was so generous that I couldn’t help but say, “Wow.” The interior was consistently styled with a Kyoto-inspired Japanese aesthetic, creating a wonderfully calm atmosphere. The indirect lighting was thoughtfully designed, and the Room felt especially lovely at night. The tableware included beautiful, like-new pieces from Noritake and HARIO. My personal favorite was the bath salts—soaking in the tub while surrounded by natural aromas was truly relaxing. Breakfast was delicious, and having it delivered to our Room made everything feel effortless. Rather than a Hotel stay, it felt like relaxing in a private residence. This time we stayed for one night, but it’s an Accommodation where I’d love to enjoy a Multiple Night Stay at a slower pace. All staff were polite and kind, which made us feel at ease. I would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

All the staff were cheerful and kind, making our trip even more enjoyable. The Hotel was a little hard to find, but the Facility was more than sufficient for pets. In the morning, we enjoyed walking down the stairs from the dog run to Lake Hamana—it felt wonderful. We also thoroughly enjoyed an excellent full-course meal. As for the Room, it was unnecessarily spacious for us as a couple, so next time we may choose a smaller Room. In such an elegant setting, sipping complimentary sparkling wine alone in the lounge in the evening while looking out at Lake Hamana and the sunset was pure bliss. This is a Hotel we would definitely love to visit again.

The meals were luxurious and delicious, the Room was spotless, and the bath was wonderfully relaxing—there was nothing to complain about. The staff member in charge was very friendly and kind, so we felt completely at ease throughout our two-day stay. We stayed at this Accommodation the night before to watch my son’s Yokohama High School game at Koshien Stadium. We had made a Reservation for a twin Room that morning, but at check-in we were upgraded free of charge to a spacious four-bed Room. The large public bath also happened to be completely private when we used it. In addition, kama-tama ramen was served for dinner, making this an excellent value stay that my son and I really enjoyed. We would like to stay here again when we have business in Osaka. Unfortunately, Yokohama High School lost in the semifinals, but it was still a memorable and fun trip to Osaka for the two of us. To the front desk staff, Thank you very much for all your help during our stay.

Both the bath and the meals were excellent. Dinner felt a little too much at first, but they kindly arranged the leftover meat into the next morning’s breakfast. The staff who took care of us were very kind, and we had a fun, relaxing stay with peace of mind. This is an Accommodation I would love to stay at again.
