A luxurious Azumino getaway to savor the seasons with natural Onsen and creative kaiseki cuisine

An Accommodation at the foot of the Northern Alps in the Hotaka Onsen area. Enjoy creative kaiseki cuisine featuring mountain delicacies personally foraged by our head chef and seasonal ingredients from Azumino. Our Japanese-modern guest rooms, renovated in March 2020, come in three types inspired by signature Shinshu colors. Relax in our soft-feeling alkaline simple Onsen, available in a stone-lined open-air bath and a spacious large public bath. Soak while taking in the changing seasons, and at night, enjoy the moon and stars as you unwind in the Onsen.

  • The staff’s hospitality and the meals are exceptional.

    At first, the entrance felt quiet and almost lonely, but it seems the Accommodation is designed so guests don’t often cross paths; once you get used to it, it’s very comfortable. The baths were great, and the meals were excellent—showing the chef’s attention to detail and offering a wide variety of dishes. All of this was made possible by the warm hospitality of every staff member. It was a wonderful Accommodation.

  • It was a wonderful Accommodation.

    As soon as you step into the Accommodation, a wonderful space opens up.While listening to the explanation in the calm lobby, we enjoyed a delicious welcome drink. Being able to choose a yukata lifted our spirits right from the start.Dinner featured a spring menu, including wild vegetable tempura, and both the local craft beer and local sake were excellent. It was also great fun chatting with the owner about all sorts of things.Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared dish by dish, and the rolled omelet was especially delicious.The furnishings and paintings displayed in the hallway were lovely as well.Away from everyday life, we felt relaxed and refreshed both physically and mentally.We would definitely love to stay again. Thank you very much.

We would be delighted if you could savor the simple, gentle flavors of Shinshu. Depending on the season, we offer a variety of locally sourced mountain ingredients. As a kaiseki Ryokan, we are dedicated to our cuisine. We spare no effort and continually refine our approach to bring out the very best in each ingredient.     We draw our hot spring water directly from the natural source that springs from Nakabusa Valley.
    Softened along its journey from the Northern Alps, it is gentle on the skin.
    To help you enjoy the Onsen at your own pace and in complete comfort,
    we have newly added two types of private baths: a pot bath and a cypress bath.
    Please spend a truly relaxing and refreshing time in your own private space.

    ■Private Bath Fee: Same-day Reservation ¥3,000; advance Reservation ¥2,700 (charged on the day). An additional ¥2,000 applies for extensions.

  • About the Accommodation Tax

    Starting June 1, 2026, in accordance with Nagano Prefecture regulations, an Accommodation Tax will be charged separately.
    The Accommodation Tax is as follows per person per night:
