  • It was great.

    We stayed here as a family. The Japanese cuisine, carefully prepared with seasonal ingredients, was satisfying not only in taste but also in presentation. In particular, the Aizu rice breakfast that began with warm miso soup left a lasting impression and was a memorable moment to end our trip. We were able to enjoy our meal in a calm setting and spend relaxing time together as a family, which was wonderful. This is an Accommodation we would love to stay at again. Highly recommended.

    We visited as a family. The free-flowing Onsen was wonderful—gentle on the skin and left it smooth and refreshed. Dinner offered a wide variety of dishes, and the horse sashimi in the horse sashimi Plan was also included for children, so we all enjoyed it together. Our Room had been changed to a riverside one with a great view, and just as described in the Review, it was a very nice Room. If the hair dryer in the bath area had stronger airflow, it would be perfect.

  • Notice of Temporary Closure for Renovation and Grand Reopening Announcement

    Thank you very much for your continued patronage of Kotani no Yu.

    To provide an even more comfortable and rejuvenating stay, Kotani no Yu will be carrying out renovation work to renew our in-house Facilities.

    Accordingly, we will be temporarily closed during the period below.
    We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

    ■ Main Renovation Highlights
    1. Renewed interior spaces wrapped in the warmth of wood
    Entrance & Lobby Lounge
    By removing partitions, we will create a more open space with large windows offering panoramic views of the magnificent surrounding nature.
    We will also add tatami bench seating, a new shop corner, and a new amenities bar.


    Guest Rooms (selected rooms only)
    Room layouts will be expanded to create a more spacious Japanese-modern retreat.
    Upgrades include headboards with charging outlets, comfortable sofas for relaxing stays, and improved usability of bathroom areas.


    Large Public Bath Changing Room
    Finishes will be fully renewed to create a clean yet chic and calming atmosphere.


    2. Renewed dining featuring Aizu’s fermentation and preserved-food culture
    In addition to our highly regarded private hot spring source waters, we have prepared three special kaiseki courses themed around “fermentation,” designed to warm you from the core and help restore balance.
