    The staff’s hospitality is outstanding.In every respect, this Hotel is better than another Hotel in Karuizawa that costs several times more.Some Chinese guests have poor manners, but I suppose that can’t be helped given Japan’s government policies.

  • The dining and spa are excellent.

    We chose a one-night, two-day Plan with an Italian dinner included. Since we have growing children with big appetites, we also ordered à la carte dishes, and everything was delicious. We also booked a massage at the spa, and it was very skillful—so much so that we’d go regularly if we lived nearby.

  • A Summer Forest Garden Experience with Veuve Clicquot

    At Hotel Indigo Karuizawa, we are once again hosting a collaboration with the renowned French Champagne house Veuve Clicquot at the Forest Garden “Bonfire Lounge” in our courtyard.

    This year features “Veuve Clicquot Rich On Ice,” inspired by the Mediterranean and French Riviera of Southern France. Enjoy a new Champagne style—served over ice, just the way you like it—and spend a summer afternoon in Karuizawa.

    At dusk, the fire pit is lit, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere.

    Pair all-day dining “KAGARIBI”’s special food menu with Champagne and enjoy perfect matches with Shinshu ingredients.

    an Accommodation Tax will be charged separately for stays from Monday, June 1, 2026.

    The Accommodation Tax will be used to promote local tourism and improve the visitor environment.

    ■ Payment

    The Accommodation Tax must be paid on-site separately from the Accommodation Fee.

    Even if you make a Reservation through a travel agency or an OTA (online reservation site), you may still be required to pay the Accommodation Tax on-site.
    In certain cases that meet specific requirements—such as school trips or school events—the tax may be exempted. (*A certificate must be submitted to receive an exemption.)

Approximately 10km via Prefectural Route 43 from "Usui-Karuizawa IC" on the Joshinetsu Expressway, then 1.4km via National Route 18.
* Roads in the Karuizawa area may require winter tires or chains during the winter season.
* During Golden Week and long holidays, traffic congestion may occur from "Usui-Karuizawa IC" towards Karuizawa. If congestion is expected, we recommend using Saku-Daira IC instead.
