“Suisei, the Accommodation with a Hundred-Year Garden” was officially announced in the Official Gazette dated February 17, 2022, as being registered as a National Tangible Cultural Property (Building).

The National Tangible Cultural Property (Building) registration system registers historic buildings over 50 years old that have received recognized evaluation—such as contributing to the nation’s historic landscape—in the national register of cultural properties.

Built in harmony with an approximately 2,310 m² Japanese garden, “Suisei, the Accommodation with a Hundred-Year Garden” features three separate guestroom buildings, each showcasing distinctive architecture with refined and highly skilled Sukiya-carpentry techniques throughout.

With this registration, we were recognized for our high value “as an advanced example of modern Sukiya architecture that incorporates modern facilities and innovative design within the traditional composition of Sukiya-style architecture.”
