    This was our second stay. The location is convenient from Old Karuizawa and Karuizawa Station, and being in a quiet villa area makes it perfect for walks. We truly appreciated the frequent Shuttle Service by car from Karuizawa Station. All Hotel staff showed thoughtful attention and considerate care for both guests and dogs, which really impressed us. Whenever we travel with our dog, we will definitely stay at Le Chien Kyukaruizawa Hotel again. We were completely satisfied with everything—the meals, the Onsen, the shop, and even the dog photo booth. Thanks to this Hotel, our 2-night, 3-day trip to Karuizawa became a wonderful memory. Thank you very much.

  • A wonderful place to stay with your dog

    This was our first time staying with our Toy Poodle. The amenities, dog run, and photo spots were irresistible for dog lovers. Everything was clean, and there were no unpleasant odors. Above all, the Hotel staff were kind. With their pleasant greetings and helpful support when we needed it, the atmosphere was wonderful, and we would definitely like to stay again.

"Le Chien" means "dog" in French. We hope both our guests and their beloved dogs can enjoy a relaxing time in Old Karuizawa. This sentiment is at the heart of our service. As you may know, each dog has its own personality and compatibility with others. For this reason, we have a few guidelines in place. We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation to ensure an enjoyable and comfortable stay at Le Chien Old Karuizawa.

Basic Information

TaxesA Hot Spring Tax of JPY 150 per adult per night will be charged. From June 1, 2026, an Accommodation Tax will be charged separately in accordance with Nagano Prefecture and Karuizawa Town ordinances. The Accommodation Tax per person per night is as follows: Accommodation Fee of JPY 6,000 to under JPY 10,000: JPY 200; Accommodation Fee of JPY 10,000 to under JPY 100,000: JPY 250; Accommodation Fee of JPY 100,000 or more: JPY 700.
