An Accommodation in Jozankei offering seasonal Japanese kaiseki cuisine and free-flowing Onsen baths fed directly from the source.

A grove of trees adds even more charm to the traditional Japanese façade. We welcome you to a moment in Jozankei—an inner retreat away from everyday life. At night, the illuminated Shogetsu Grand Hotel reveals a gentle, warmly inviting atmosphere.\nYour Shogetsu experience begins in the lounge. Nature unfolds like a single painting beyond the valley-facing windows. In this space, Japanese and Western styles blend in harmony, while the flickering fireplace casts a soothing glow for ultimate relaxation.

  • We stayed as two couples (my parents and us), making a Reservation for two Rooms for four people, and they kindly arranged adjoining Rooms for us. The lounge service was available for a long time, so after the bath we relaxed for over an hour enjoying beer, honey, and more. The calm atmosphere makes it enjoyable even if you’re traveling alone. The large public bath was not crowded, so we could take our time in the open-air bath as well. Since the baths switch between men and women the next day, we were able to enjoy both comfortably. Meals were served in a semi-private setting, and all staff were very courteous. When we were looking for something we had misplaced, they helped us kindly; we found it later, but their thoughtful support really stood out. We were completely satisfied with everything, and my parents said they would like to go again—so I’m glad I brought them. I’d love to visit again in a different season.

  • Dinner was outstanding—the eel kamameshi and the whelk shinjo soup were especially delicious.
