The castle town of Odawara, known as the largest post station on the Tokaido during the Edo period, was a place where travelers rested before crossing the Hakone mountains. Located in this historically rich city, Hilton Odawara Resort & Spa welcomes many guests as a hotel offering a brief resort experience with its onsen, pool, and dining options. The "Bade Zone" features designs inspired by plum trees associated with Odawara throughout its space, creating a bright and open relaxation area. Guests staying at the property can enjoy playing in the pool or relaxing to their heart's content even before check-in or after check-out on their stay dates for an enriching hotel experience.

Room Design

"Hilton Superior Twin Room" A unique design is adopted where a "platform" is installed slightly above the floor, and a mattress is placed on top of it. This design reflects the traditional Japanese culture of viewing from a low position, allowing guests to relax as if sitting on an engawa (veranda) and enjoy the view outside the window while conversing with their travel companions. Additionally, pleated screens covering the windows feature non-woven fabric with a texture similar to washi paper, creating an effect reminiscent of traditional blinds. This type of room allows for easy placement of additional mattresses directly on the platform, accommodating up to three guests.

Japanese-Western style room

The larger space is adorned with motifs of black pine and lanterns, incorporating the scenery of Odawara and the charm of Japanese culture. The standard Japanese-Western style room can accommodate up to 5 guests, while the Japanese-Western style suite can accommodate up to 6 guests, making it an ideal room type for multi-generational families or group trips such as girls' gatherings.

Breakfast

Our seafood rice bowls, featuring fresh fish unique to Odawara, are very popular, and we also recommend the horse mackerel namero bowl. We offer a service where guests can create their own favorite rice bowl. Additionally, you can enjoy Odawara specialties such as kamaboko (fish cake) and dried horse mackerel, as well as omelets prepared by our chef right in front of you, all available in a buffet style.

Natural Onsen Large Bath

In the entrance hall, an ink-colored object made of natural stone softly reflects light like a garden stone in a Japanese garden, welcoming everyone. Entering the powder room, with wall art inspired by kumiko patterns in view, the approach to the large bath allows you to immerse yourself in an elegant mood. The interior is designed to evoke both excitement and relaxation while giving you a sense of Odawara's charm. Additionally, in the relaxation area where you can unwind after bathing, cherry blossom art adorns the walls, allowing you to enjoy a calm and serene time while gazing at Sagami Bay below and savoring the lingering effects of Onsen.

The source of the natural onsen large bath at Hilton Odawara Resort & Spa is "Odawara Onsen," drawn from 1,500 meters underground. The spring quality is a "sodium-chloride onsen" containing salt similar to seawater components, which is colorless and transparent with high heat retention properties that warm the body from the core, making it less likely for you to feel chilled after bathing.
