Hotel Monterey Kobe

The Room was spacious, thoroughly cleaned, and pleasantly spotless.It was great to be able to use the large public bath at the Hotel, and I appreciated that the in-room shower was a Mirable—it was a thoughtful touch.The front desk staff were polite, and their smiles were wonderful.Although it was a last-minute stay, I was able to relax comfortably and was very satisfied.Ikuta Shrine is right next door, and it’s close to both Sannomiya Station and Motomachi Station, so I think it’s also ideal for sightseeing in Kobe.

Conveniently located near Kobe-Sannomiya Station, with Ikuta Shrine nearby, and Nankinmachi (Chinatown) and Meriken Park within walking distance. The exterior resembles a European-style building, and inside the lobby is spacious with high ceilings, creating a relaxed atmosphere. Welcome drinks are available both before and after check-in. The Room is spacious, kept very clean, and mineral drinks are provided. The bathroom is a combined unit bath, but there is also a large public bath. Since it was the Obon holiday period and many guests were staying, the public bath was crowded. Despite the large number of guest rooms, the public bath area is small, with only seven washing stations. You can check crowd levels on the TV, but even when it appeared to be quiet and I went to the public bath, it was still crowded. Breakfast lived up to its reputation: there was a wide variety of options and everything was delicious. I was especially happy that there were many kinds of DONQ bread. I also really enjoyed the desserts. Overall, I was very satisfied except for the bathing facilities.
