Hotel Keihan Kyoto Grande

I’m sorry if I simply overlooked it at the amenities bar, but I believe only toothbrushes were available. I would have liked toothpaste as well. Also, it would have been nice to have small bath salts. Other than that, I was very satisfied! Thank you very much. Please note that the convenience store downstairs closes at 11:00 PM (when I stayed). When I went to buy bath salts, it was already closed.

Although it was my first stay, everything—from storing my luggage before check-in to check-in/check-out and all other assistance—was handled very politely, and I had a very pleasant experience. The building itself may be old, but the facilities such as the bathroom are new, so it didn’t feel dated at all. It’s a unit bath, but the bathtub is fairly spacious and great for soaking. Except in the morning and at night, you can take the elevator directly to an underground passage connected to the station, so access is excellent and you don’t have to worry even on rainy days. The adjacent building has Shimamura and Seria, there are restaurants downstairs, and AEON Mall is just a short walk away—an unbeatable location. Only once when I returned, I noticed the window had been left open; it was raining that day, so that was my only concern. That said, even though I stayed in a smoking Room, there was very little of that typical smell when I entered, so they must ventilate well during cleaning—I assume they simply forgot to close it that time. Things like that happen sometimes. Everything else was so good that it more than made up for it, and I would definitely like to stay again.
