Yunokawa Prince Hotel Nagisatei

My daughter and I took a whirlwind 24-hour trip to Hakodate. Even with limited time to spend at the Hotel, we enjoyed wonderful meals, an Onsen, and a Room with an amazing location. It was a truly lovely Hotel. Both breakfast and dinner were buffet-style, with a wide variety of options—everything was delicious, and we ended up eating far too much. We used the large public bath, and the view from the open-air bath in the morning was incredible. Since we checked in after sunset, it was pitch-dark outside when we arrived, but once daylight came, the view from the window took our breath away. As far as the eye could see was ocean—an unforgettable sight for someone who doesn’t live near the sea. The staff included many young people and international team members, and everyone treated us sincerely and with warm smiles, making our stay truly comfortable. The only disappointment was that our stay was far too short. Hakodate is quite far for us so we can’t visit often, but next time we’d like to stay at least two nights.

Although it is some distance from central Hakodate, I heard there was an Onsen and decided to stay here. In practice, it takes about 30 minutes by streetcar from downtown, plus an additional 10-minute walk, so it may feel a bit inconvenient for sightseeing in Hakodate. That said, the Facility is new, the breakfast was delicious, and most importantly the Onsen was just right. The price was also very reasonable, so overall I had a very satisfying stay. Thank you for your kind hospitality.A couple of points to note: first, the parking lot is a little hard to find. In particular, parking in the back area can be difficult due to the tight layout. Many guests likely arrive by rental car from the airport, so clearer guidance for parking would be appreciated.Second, from check-in through check-out everything felt very systematized with minimal staff interaction; amenities are also self-serve buffet-style—more like a Business Hotel service model. Of course some guests may prefer this style, but as a first-time visitor to Hakodate who would have appreciated even a little advice from the front desk staff, I found it somewhat impersonal. I would be grateful if you could keep such guests in mind as well.
