    Disappointing despite the staff’s best efforts

    This was our second stay, and it was even better than our previous visit in March 2019. The food, service, value for money, and illuminations were all more memorable, making this stay even more satisfying. However, perhaps the attractive pricing had a downside, as the communal baths felt completely out of control. One group appeared to be on an outing from a care facility. People who seemed to be caregivers removed several guests’ diapers in the changing room, left them on the floor, and then accompanied the guests into the bathing area while still fully clothed themselves. With several guests needing this assistance, the situation felt chaotic. At the same time, someone in another group had tattoos, and children were running around naked in the changing room. It was disappointing, as the baths themselves were lovely.

    As soon as we arrive...

    As soon as we arrived at the hotel and tried to take a photo at the entrance, a staff member kindly helped us and took a great picture with the scenery. While waiting at the front desk, there were Halloween decorations and costumes, and they happily let us dress up together and took photos for us. However, there weren’t many options for the welcome drinks, so I wish there had been a few more choices. The room was also clean. The dinner offered a wide variety of delicious local and seasonal dishes, and we were able to enjoy plenty of food. In particular, the fresh bluefin tuna and sea bream sashimi were excellent; the sushi rice was tasty, the toppings were generous in size, and even the chawanmushi was served piping hot and felt truly authentic. There was also a great selection of desserts that tasted wonderful, but I was too full to try many of them—next time I’d like to come back hungry enough to enjoy everything without regrets. Above all, when the food is this good, it really makes you want to visit again.

    About the 90-minute time limit

    Although we were told that dining time is limited to 90 minutes, there was already a long line at 5:00, and I believe we were seated around 5:10. Being told to leave at 6:30 felt unreasonable because it had not been 90 minutes yet. If guests who enter between 5:00 and 5:15 are required to leave at 6:30, that is not truly a 90-minute system. People eat at different speeds—some can eat quickly, while others can only eat slowly. Some guests may want to finish early to go to the pool, so not everyone will be eating for the full 90 minutes. For those who need more time, it would be appreciated if there were a little flexibility. Since some guests finish quickly, I do not think this would cause overcrowding or inconvenience other guests on weekdays. If you could better understand and accommodate different guest needs and paces, I believe everyone would be able to enjoy their meal more comfortably.
