Kobe Kitano Hotel

A truly wonderful, antique-style hotel that feels quintessentially Kitano, Kobe. It felt like staying in a Western-style residence. It was like being invited to stay at someone’s private home. The bathroom was spacious and had a window, so it was bright during the day, and the bubble bath was incredibly relaxing. Checkout was nice and late, so I even enjoyed a morning bath. With the morning light streaming in, it was simply perfect. It even made me think I’d love to live in such a calm room.Breakfast was served on the terrace. They picked me up and dropped me off in a beautiful car, which made it feel even more elegant—absolutely wonderful. I’m grateful for the chance to fully enjoy such an extraordinary escape. Nothing to complain about!

In an elegant, tranquil atmosphere, we were able to enjoy a truly refined stay. Famed for having “the best breakfast in the world,” my wife had long said she wanted to visit someday. From the moment we stepped into the Hotel—perfectly suited to Kobe Kitano—she was moved by its distinctly international ambiance. The next morning, we enjoyed breakfast. The colorful vegetable juices lined up before us, seasonal fruit, breads and financiers, handmade butter and confiture—everything felt light and nourishing, and it was clear how carefully each item had been prepared. I’m not someone who can speak in detail about cuisine, but there were moments that made me think, “As expected.” The Hotel staff also treated us with great courtesy throughout our stay. When my wife returned to the Room after finishing her meal and accidentally bumped into a staff member coming out of the staff room through the door, they not only showed thoughtful concern at that moment but also spoke to us again at checkout—and even a manager offered kind words as well. We assumed they wouldn’t know who we were by name, yet they had clearly looked into it and communicated internally; I was genuinely impressed by their coordination. On top of that, we left something behind in the Room and received a call on our mobile phone so we could come back to retrieve it. Thank you very much for taking care of us in every way. Although described as an auberge, I believe this is a wonderful Hotel offering truly first-class hospitality. We hope you will continue providing such refined moments for your guests in the future.
