    I was pleasantly surprised to be told at check-in that my Room had been upgraded! And there was also a gift of baked sweets included with the accommodation Plan. I was excited from the very start. I was completely satisfied with the wonderful Room.\nTo enjoy the breakfast said to be the best in the world, we used the Shuttle Service to a mountaintop restaurant. The breakfast was as delicious as expected, and the restaurant’s location was stunning.\nWhen I struggled to arrange shipping my luggage on departure, the front desk staff kindly helped me, which impressed me again. It’s a Hotel that truly makes you want to come back.

  • The breakfast we had...

    The breakfast we had been dreaming of—said to be the best in the world—was truly wonderful. There was a large selection of bread, and we were happy that paper bags were provided for taking some to go. However, we felt it might be nice to slightly reduce the number of breads and offer something else instead.The bath in our Room could be used as a jacuzzi, which was perfect for relieving fatigue.When we took a taxi from in front of the Hotel on our way back, a female staff member bowed outside until we were out of sight. It made us very happy.

Hiroshi Yamaguchi’s Profile

The world-famous French restaurant “La Côte d’Or” was widely acclaimed as “opening the door to the 21st century.” Hiroshi Yamaguchi, General Manager and Executive Chef of Kobe Kitano Hotel, served as the Japanese-side chef at “La Côte d’Or” in Kobe. In 2000, upon the opening of Kobe Kitano Hotel, Mr. Loiseau provided what was hailed as “the world’s best La Côte d’Or breakfast menu,” drawing attention from around the globe. Through continuous dedication to his craft, he was recognized as a “Kobe Meister” in 2008, a “Relais & Châteaux Grand Chef” in 2010, and a certified “Culinary Meister” (Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries) in 2015. He also received the French Republic’s Order of Agricultural Merit (Chevalier) in 2016, Hyogo Prefecture’s Distinguished Skills Award in 2017, and was named one of Japan’s Outstanding Skilled Professionals (“Master Craftsman of Our Time”) by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in 2017.
