Still, it's my favorite Hotel.

I always stay here when visiting Sapporo. This time, I booked a room in the new building as it seemed to have opened recently. However, it had a very different atmosphere from the main building—more cheap? modern in style. I requested to change to a room in the main building and was accommodated. I truly prefer the Art Deco-style, elegant rooms of the main building. Even if it's more expensive, I highly recommend staying in the main building! With inbound tourism increasing significantly across major areas of Hokkaido, this hotel also had many international guests. The spa (which used to require an additional fee) was extremely crowded and felt chaotic. It seems that now all accommodation guests can use it for free, which has made it quite busy. It's unfortunate because I used to enjoy its somewhat Roman bath-like ambiance. Still, if I can stay in the main building at this price point, I might return again! (Thank you to the staff who helped me switch rooms—I enjoyed gazing out at snowy Sapporo from my window and had a relaxing time.)
