I stayed here with my husband in winter last time, and this time with our daughter as a group of three. The Room was beautiful and spotless, and the open-air bath was wonderful. The large public bath was also quiet, and we were able to relax at our own pace. The meals were truly delicious, and we enjoyed them with our eyes as well, served in refreshing-looking tableware. The staff were kind, and we had a very comfortable stay. Next time, I’d like to visit in spring. This is my favorite Accommodation.

Despite the reasonable price, the Room was clean, with a large bed that felt spacious and relaxing. The large public bath helped wash away travel fatigue, and the complimentary ramen service was incredibly delicious! The front desk staff were also very helpful—truly the best value Accommodation I’ve found. I’ll definitely stay again. Thank you for your hospitality.

We visited this Accommodation for the first time in March after it received the strongest “Absolutely!” recommendation among several options, and it was the first time in a while that we felt completely satisfied in every respect. From the courteous and accurate communication during the Reservation process, to the atmosphere, use of space, staff professionalism, and cuisine—everything met our expectations. With an Accommodation of this caliber, I wasn’t particularly worried about the food, and I had already seen photos of the interior on the website so I assumed there would be no surprises. In the end, however, what matters most is “people.” With group stays, requests often cause inconvenience and there are usually one or two small oversights on the day—but here everything was perfect. This time we came as individuals. We returned both to confirm our impressions and to be moved all over again. The entrance—still fresh in my memory as a favorite—is spacious and quiet. It harmoniously blends cutting-edge design with traditional charm despite being complete opposites. Personally, it may be my favorite part. Our Room this time was more compact than last time but more than sufficient for one night. The open-air bath is also spacious and easy to use even though it has privacy screening. The private dining room felt almost too large for just two people. The timing of each course and the staff’s warm smiles made for a truly comfortable—and delicious—meal. Overall, what stayed with me is how rare this Facility is: an excellent balance of new and old, genuine warmth from people, and employees who approach their work with sincerity—all coming together in perfect harmony. Newer Accommodations with a full resort feel are wonderful in their own way as well; however, as an Onsen Accommodation, this is a place I can confidently recommend as a distinctly Japanese stay where timeless tradition is beautifully integrated. Thank you once again for taking such great care of us. We are truly grateful for a relaxing stay that healed both body and mind. Thank you very much.

I always stay here the night before my departure from Hiroshima Airport. This time as well, I was able to relax in the welcome lounge, and I really enjoyed the delicious breakfast. I request the Shuttle Service between the airport and the Hotel every time, and this time the flowers in the lobby were even more beautiful than usual—I couldn’t help but stop and admire them. I’ll definitely stay again!

We stayed here to celebrate my mother’s birthday, and thanks to the wonderful hospitality, it was truly a great trip! Everything was spotless, the bath was very relaxing, and everyone’s thoughtful care was exceptional—we would love to stay again. Thank you very much for such a wonderful experience.

It’s a short walk from the station (bus stop), but I think it’s an easy distance to walk. The Room had everything we needed, and it was wonderful that drinks and light snacks were available until 10:00 pm. The snack cakes were delicious. All the staff were courteous and helpful, so we had a very pleasant stay. Thank you very much.

I was impressed by every aspect of this stay. First, the food was truly outstanding. Not only were the ingredients excellent, but the menu featured an abundance of seasonal items that are hard to come by in everyday life—such as longtooth grouper (kue), Shizuoka-brand eel “Deshiko,” pike conger (hamo), kuruma prawns, and Kamo eggplant—and I was moved by each dish. There wasn’t a single miss: the dashi flavor came through beautifully, and the balance of ingredients and seasoning in every course was exquisite. The overall satisfaction was so high that it honestly felt surprising to be able to stay at this price while being served cuisine of such a high level. The Onsen was also wonderful. The bath area is new and kept very clean, so it was comfortable to use. In particular, Umenoya’s unique natural spring water at around 30°C was perfect for this hot season. Alternating it with the indoor bath at around 40°C left me feeling refreshed after bathing and made for a truly relaxing time. I highly recommend trying it this way. Above all, what left the strongest impression was the hospitality of the staff. When I accidentally dropped my chopsticks during dinner, one staff member immediately noticed and picked them up, and another staff member who saw this brought me a fresh pair. Their seamless teamwork showed how well they communicate on a daily basis, which really moved me. The proprietress has such a warm presence—always smiling and speaking to guests in a friendly way. Despite her young age, her attentiveness to guests and her awareness of everything throughout the Ryokan are exceptional; I don’t often encounter someone capable of providing hospitality at this level. It was an Accommodation that left me completely satisfied with its cuisine, Onsen, and service. I would love to return in another season to enjoy more delicious food and the Onsen again.

We arrived in heavy rain and were feeling pretty discouraged, but this Hotel was so wonderful even in the rain that we were truly glad we chose it. On the second day, the weather cleared beautifully, and the Pacific Ocean stretching out right in front of our Room was breathtaking. The meals made great use of local ingredients, and every dish had its own charm. Thanks to dinner and breakfast being offered in time slots we could choose from, we were able to relax and take our time while enjoying the ocean view. After breakfast, we stepped out from the restaurant into the garden and came across many rare tropical plants—banana trees with blossoms and fruit, pandanus (adan), hibiscus, shell ginger flowers—and even hermit crabs. We also used the two private family baths twice, which completely washed away our travel fatigue. Everyone on the staff—from the restaurant to throughout the Hotel—was very kind, and they shared lots of local tips you won’t find in guidebooks. The Oshima Tsumugi Museum was also outstanding. It felt like we learned a bit about Amami Oshima’s history, making it a truly meaningful experience. Thanks to this trip, we also discovered painter Kazuo Tanaka (Isson) and became big fans. We would definitely love to stay at this Hotel again next time.

I found this Facility on IKYU and liked it so much that I made a Reservation. Just as expected, I thoroughly enjoyed the Facility, the meals, and the Onsen (ceramic bath). During a conversation with the staff at dinner, we talked about Hachimantai’s Dragon Eye. They told me they had gone there after borrowing rental boots and that it was wonderful. So I went the next day right away. Like Zao Okama last year, I was moved by the breathtaking scenery. It was a truly great stay—enjoying both the magnificent nature and the delicious meals at the Facility. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us.

Thank you very much for taking care of us during our stay. We truly appreciate your accommodating our food allergies. The meals were absolutely delicious. The Ryokan baths, the private bath, and the public hot springs were all wonderful. It was a shame we couldn’t visit all of the public baths, but we’d love to come back and do a full hot spring tour next time! As for amenities, we didn’t have any particular issues, but I happened to forget my makeup remover and thought it would have been helpful if the Ryokan had one available. We’re grateful for the lovely time we had. Thank you very much.

The antique-inspired lobby interior was beautiful. The Room was also comfortable. Meals were served in a private dining room, and since it was next door, it was convenient. The food was delicious and at the standard level for this type of Ryokan. The Onsen is not large, but it wasn’t crowded, so I could relax and enjoy it.

We stayed for one night and two days. After passing Kurokawa Onsen, the Accommodation appeared quietly tucked away. Inside was very clean with an elegant atmosphere. The Room had tatami flooring and a bright, stylish design. It seemed everyone was spending a relaxing time in their Rooms. The open-air bath was spacious, and no matter when we went in, we had it all to ourselves—such a luxurious time. The water quality was excellent, and we were very satisfied. The meals were well balanced and truly delicious. Since it is not in an Onsen town, this Accommodation is recommended for those who want to rest and relax at the Accommodation.

We had to change our travel Plan due to our own circumstances, and we truly appreciate your courteous and prompt assistance. This time, we chose Kikunoya because we wanted to take our time sightseeing in Miyajima. Its convenient location near Itsukushima Shrine and Daisho-in allowed us to enjoy the area with the Hotel as our base. Not only at the front desk but also during the Shuttle Service ride, we were able to hear stories and helpful local tips about Miyajima, which made our visits even more enjoyable. We were blessed with great weather this time, and the view from the in-room semi-open-air bath was wonderful. The Onsen may feel a little lukewarm, but it keeps you warm for a long time. We heard the meals had just been updated with new offerings, and everything was delicious. With all amenities provided, this Accommodation is truly appreciated for allowing us to visit lightly and casually. We would love to return again in different seasons. Breakfast in particular was excellent, featuring plenty of local ingredients, with each dish carefully prepared. It was beautifully presented as well, making for a luxurious start to the day. We did not have dinner this time, but after being so impressed by the breakfast and the hospitality, we would love to enjoy dinner on our next visit. It was a wonderful stay that will remain a cherished memory—the best Ryokan Accommodation we have ever stayed at.

It was an absolutely amazing stay. I was truly impressed by the outstanding, well-equipped Facility that anticipated every need. The staff were very considerate with the luggage we sent in advance, prepared a pool for the children, and even when an accident happened, their first words were to check on us. Talking with friends around the barbecue, setting off fireworks with the kids under the sunset sky, and looking up at the stars late at night—every moment became a wonderful memory. My only regret is that because it was so hot, we couldn’t enjoy the outdoor facilities outside the cottage, such as basketball and the trampoline. We will definitely visit again next year. The natural Onsen was very clean, with an alkaline spring quality that felt silky-smooth and wonderfully soothing. I used it three times. Since I could check availability, I was able to enjoy it privately without sharing with others.

My spouse and I stayed here together. We booked No Meals Included, but the Room came with a sauna and an Onsen, and the price felt almost too low for the Facility—we honestly felt bad about it. It may not be for those who prefer luxury Hotels or Ryokan costing over 30,000 yen per night, but as other Reviews mention, there are many small thoughtful touches. The service quality covers what matters without being excessive, and the overall calm atmosphere made our stay very satisfying. We hope to return again within this year.

Our family of four stayed for two nights in connecting Rooms. From our Room, we enjoyed beautiful views of Lake Biwa and different sunsets each day. The large public bath was also wonderful, allowing us to relax and recover from our travels at a leisurely pace. During our stay, we were able to unwind with complimentary drinks in the 10th-floor lounge as many times as we liked. The staff kindly spoke to us throughout our stay, which we truly appreciated. I had always dreamed of staying at this Hotel, so I booked a stay for my mother’s birthday. It was just as wonderful as I imagined, the signature breakfast was delicious, and the staff’s service was excellent. It became a truly special memory! I would love to stay here again!
