After returning home, my son and I stayed for one night to take a short break. They kindly accommodated our requests, and every staff member we encountered was consistently warm, smiling, and attentive, making our stay truly comfortable. We stayed in a corner suite overlooking Nagasaki Port. The spacious Room was wonderful, and we could also enjoy the Nagasaki night view from the bathroom—an incredibly happy experience. As someone who stays at Hotels fairly often, I especially appreciated how every small detail had been thoughtfully considered—for example, towels were placed exactly where you’d want them near the toilet and sink—so there was nothing to worry about. It was great to feel such careful attention throughout. There were both dry and mist saunas, plus an outdoor cold plunge bath. The sauna and gym area also had coin lockers and showers; while compact, it was clearly a Facility designed with comfort in mind. The view from the infinity pool and the lounge were truly relaxing as well—we’re already saying that next time we’d love to book a Multiple Night Stay and take our time. Breakfast was excellent in volume, taste, and service—completely satisfying in every way. This time we bought various local specialties at the station to enjoy with the drinks in our Room, but next time we would definitely like to dine at the restaurant too.

It was a truly welcoming and pleasant Hotel. As I was traveling solo, I was shown to a quiet seat with a great view for dinner, and I was able to relax and enjoy the meal. They kindly accommodated ingredients I don’t eat, and everything was delicious. The only regret was that the portions were a bit large for me, and I was almost full before the main course. Breakfast was exciting, and everything was delicious—absolutely wonderful! Since my Room was close to the guest lounge, I enjoyed not only staying in my Room but also spending time in the stylish guest lounge. The sauna, jacuzzi, and bedroom were all very relaxing—everything felt spacious and comfortable.

With only 10 Rooms in the entire property and a detached layout, it was very quiet and we were able to relax at a leisurely pace. The Onsen was surprisingly spacious for a 10-room property, and the large windows offered beautiful views of the forest, which was truly soothing. We visited the famous Nyuto Onsen the day before, but the water quality here felt richer—like a silky lotion—and suited my skin better. After bathing, my skin felt amazingly smooth; it really lived up to its reputation as a “beauty bath.” I’d love to come back during the Omagari Fireworks Festival season.

The moderately American-style Room decor feels thoughtfully different from a typical Business Hotel. It was a new, clean Room. I was surprised that the bath and toilet were clearly separated. (The bathtub and shower felt like something you’d have at home.) The lighting in the Room is well designed, there are plenty of outlets, and it’s highly functional—overall, the hospitality far exceeded expectations for this price. Breakfast was also very satisfying in quality, and the other guests gave an elegant impression. There were a couple of moments when I noticed the soundproofing, but it was quiet at night.

Everything was top-notch—the location, the bath, the variety and quality of the meals, the seasoning, the view from the large veranda, and even the bed. The staff were also very polite and full of kindness. When I visit Matsuyama again, I will definitely stay at Funaya. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for the wonderful hospitality. (Sorry for posting so late.) I wanted my old friends to experience your outstanding service as well, so we stayed here for our annual “Grandpa G Trip.” We walked from Kyoto Station, left our luggage, and first enjoyed some drinks in the lounge. After sightseeing at about four spots by taxi, we checked in at the Hotel. The gentlemen were delighted by the warm smiles of your female staff. (They’re simple like that—sorry!) Since it takes time for four people to take turns using the bath, we had considered going to a public bathhouse—one of Kyoto’s sightseeing highlights—but three of us said, “With such a wonderful bath here, we want to use this one.” So after dinner, we took turns bathing. Dinner was at Hanaroku. As always, an incredibly luxurious menu with thoughtful flavors. Since I’m the only one who drinks alcohol, this time I paired cocktails and three kinds of sake. Everyone kept saying how delicious it was. Breakfast was just as satisfying. On the second day we visited two more places by taxi before checking out. The 11:00 check-out time (extended until 12:00 for Diamond members) is greatly appreciated. Some people may not be fond of a group like ours from appearances alone, but we truly appreciate your warm hospitality. We hope to visit again soon.

Thank you for making my luxurious solo stay at the Ryokan even more special. Even though it was probably my last check-in, I was greeted by name as soon as I stepped inside, and you kindly accommodated a sudden change of plans. It’s rare to find a Room and bath so impeccably clean and well maintained. The meals were just the right amount and truly delicious. The courteous hospitality from everyone I interacted with perfectly matched the calm atmosphere of this Accommodation. It was such a wonderful Accommodation that I sincerely hope to return next time for a longer, more relaxed visit.

This was our first stay during the Obon holiday season. After sightseeing in the scorching heat, we checked in early, and from the moment we walked in, the interior was stylish. We could enjoy drinks at any time we liked, and above all, we were amazed at how pet-friendly this Hotel is in every way. We were also able to use a pet cart at dinner time, which made it easy to enjoy a comfortable walk and meal. The hot dogs were delicious, and breakfast was stylish with generous portions—we were very satisfied. We would be even happier if dinner service were available as well. All of the staff were kind, and we would love to stay again.

The Onsen on the 11th floor was great, with a sauna and an open-air bath that felt wonderfully spacious!

Our family of three stayed here. The guest room with an open-air bath had an amazing view of the trees through the window. The meals were delicious, and we loved the post-bath ice pops, late-night inari sushi, morning coffee service, board games, and the excellent loan services such as a rotating hair dryer and a NanoCare hair dryer. It was relaxing and quiet, and we were able to unwind from everyday fatigue. The Onsen water was also wonderful. Highly recommended Accommodation.

This was our second stay with children. Last time, we stayed after visiting Disney. Located inside Kasai Rinkai Park, it’s perfect for letting kids play. This Plan included breakfast, and the food was excellent—no surprise given it’s part of the Okura group. Dinner wasn’t included in the Plan, but we used the restaurant and it was delicious as well. The large public bath was clean and spacious. There aren’t many Hotels in Tokyo with such a large bath, so it was very relaxing. The staff were very kind and helpful, especially to our child. They also stored our luggage on both check-in and check-out days, and we could rest in the lobby and reorganize our bags, which was a big help while spending time in the park with our child. Thank you very much.

It was a very satisfying trip to Shirahama. This Accommodation is in an excellent location, close to Shirarahama Beach. The Room was thoroughly cleaned, and we were very satisfied. We love Onsen, so we were happy with the large public bath here. The food was delicious as well. All the staff were attentive and helpful—thank you very much. It was an Accommodation that exceeded its price. We were also blessed with good weather and could relax at our leisure. It’s an Accommodation that makes us want to come again.

After working hard decluttering my home during Golden Week, I decided on a last-minute treat—let’s go to an Onsen! So I made a Reservation the day before and stayed at this Accommodation. I hadn’t planned the trip in advance; I just wanted to relax with delicious food and an Onsen. I happened to find this place through a search, and it turned out to be truly wonderful—an unforgettable reward and a great memory. While chatting with the staff member who welcomed us in the parking lot, we mentioned Sora Terrace. After check-in, the attendant surprised me by bringing over a brochure, saying, “I heard you’re going tomorrow.” I was genuinely touched. Even though it’s a historic Onsen area, the younger staff were working hard, and everyone—from the dining staff to the front desk—was cheerful and friendly throughout our stay. It was an Accommodation filled with heartfelt hospitality that naturally brought smiles. The Room had been renovated in a modern Japanese style. There were plenty of power outlets everywhere (including by the bed), so charging devices was never an issue. I also loved being able to enjoy coffee, tea, and cold tea in the complimentary lounge area. Dinner served in a private room was excellent—not only delicious but also beautifully presented with small touches that made it even more enjoyable. I came hoping to unwind at a Ryokan, but exploring nearby public baths in yukata and sandals was also great fun. Since we went without much prior research, it made the holiday even more memorable.

We stayed here for a family trip with my parents. At check-in, the staff explained the building while we enjoyed the beautiful garden view, which helped us understand the Accommodation even better. The welcome sweets and tea we were served were also delicious. As I am pregnant, I mentioned that I was avoiding caffeine, raw foods, and alcohol. They kindly switched the coffee prepared in our Room to decaf, provided non-caffeinated sword bean tea, and changed the tea served with meals to black soybean tea. I was truly impressed by their warm hospitality. Dinner was excellent as well. They even accommodated me with a separate menu, and I really appreciated their thoughtful attention to detail. Every dish was delicious, the portions were just right, and it was a wonderful meal overall. The private Onsen in our Room could be enjoyed 24 hours a day whenever we liked, which was fantastic. My parents seemed very satisfied too. This was our last family trip before our baby arrives, and we are truly glad we chose to stay here. Once things settle down, we would love to return and stay in a different Room as well.

This Hotel has the atmosphere of a small auberge. Once again, I was comforted by the warm hospitality of the staff. Many of them spoke to us in a friendly way, and we naturally ended up chatting, which made for a very pleasant stay. The private bath was easy to use, and we were able to relax and fully enjoy Ikaho’s Onsen. For dinner, we chose the premium course. It was French cuisine that you can enjoy without formality, yet you could really feel the care taken with the ingredients—every dish was delicious. The foie gras and Joshu beef were especially memorable. With this level of service, dining, and Onsen, I felt the Accommodation Fee was not just reasonable but exceptionally good value. It’s easy to see why so many guests return—this is truly a wonderful Accommodation. Also recently, a community bus stop called “Chirorin-zaka” has been added right in front of the Accommodation, and Suica can be used as well. The buses don’t run very frequently, but it’s extremely convenient when heading to the stone steps area or toward the bus terminal, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Since the weather was nice this time, we took a Hiace-style community bus from here and went as far as the Ikaho Ropeway. The view from the summit was fantastic—highly recommended. This Accommodation offers all three: warm hospitality, delicious food, and high-quality Onsen. When I visit Ikaho again, I would definitely love to return.

I first learned about this Accommodation a few years ago, and finally had the chance to stay this time. It blends seamlessly into the Narai streetscape, with a presence that lets you feel its history. When you step inside, the garden’s plants welcome you, allowing you to fully sense the season. The Room offers modern comfort while preserving traces of the past, making it an easy and relaxing space to spend time in. My father, an architect, also praised it highly—saying that renovating a building of this caliber while intentionally leaving parts as they were is an incredible concept. Perhaps thanks to the spring water used for the bath, my skin felt smoother and seemed to pair perfectly with skincare; my skin looked great the next morning. The meals were also outstanding for their generous use of ingredients from Shinshu. The menu was abstract in a way that sparked imagination, and even wondering what would come next was part of the fun. I ordered the non-alcohol pairing, and the creator’s skill was remarkable—I would recommend it even to those who mainly drink alcohol. There was plenty of food, but because everything was fresh and high quality, it didn’t feel heavy at all. Breakfast too was seasoned so that the umami of dashi and ingredients soaked right in—I ended up eating a lot. Every dish was deeply nourishing and brought out each ingredient’s appeal to its fullest. Also, all staff members were wonderful—always smiling and fluent in English. Even understatedly put: 100 out of 100. It became a wonderful trip where I could fully feel history, value, and human warmth. Thank you very much.

The staff were incredibly friendly and kind! The Onsen was amazing, but what impressed me most was the hospitality. And the kimbap was unbelievably delicious. On the second day they kindly served inari sushi, but I liked it so much I wanted to eat kimbap two days in a row!! The building is old, but it felt like visiting the countryside, and everything was thoroughly cleaned and spotless.

The staff’s hospitality, the cleanliness of the Room, the delicious meals, and the large public bath—everything was wonderful, and we had a truly lovely time. They even lent us towels and parasols for going to the outside baths, and we really appreciated their thoughtful attention to every detail. I had always wanted to try “tap” mandarin orange juice, but I never expected to experience it at a Hotel—what a delightful surprise. Every dish in the kaiseki dinner was delicious. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety of items, all of them tasty, and our child was thrilled and ate plenty as well. If we have another chance to stay in Dogo Onsen, we would definitely like to stay here again! Thank you very much for such a wonderful time.

The Ryokan baths, the private bath, and the public hot springs were all wonderful. It was a shame we couldn’t visit all of the public baths, but we’d love to come back and do a full hot spring tour next time! As for amenities, we didn’t have any particular issues, but I happened to forget my makeup remover and thought it would have been helpful if the Ryokan had one available. We’re grateful for the lovely time we had. Thank you very much.

I stayed one night at Seito in Tateyama and was able to truly relax both physically and mentally. The Accommodation had a calm, clean atmosphere, and the staff were courteous and attentive, which made me feel at ease from the moment I arrived. From my room, I could see Tateyama’s gentle sea, and at sunset I found myself sitting by the window for quite a while just taking in the view. The meals featured plenty of local ingredients; in particular, the fish dishes were fresh and full of flavor, making the trip even more enjoyable. The semi-open-air bath was also perfect—the water temperature was just right, and it felt like my everyday fatigue slowly melted away. Overall, I felt this is an Accommodation with exceptionally high satisfaction for anyone who wants to spend time quietly. It was a stay that made me want to return in a different season.
