As I had to stay in Nagano on short notice, I chose this Hotel again as I had a good impression last time.\nSince the same class of Room as before was fully booked, I opted for the most economical Room.\nThe Room is indeed a bit small, but it wasn’t a problem. The staff were courteous and left a good impression.\nThe only disappointment was that my late check-in meant I couldn’t enjoy the complimentary late-night noodles or the sake tasting (laugh).

We stayed here for a senior girls’ trip. There was a somewhat famous Hotel next door, but we only needed a place to sleep, and this one was close to the station and reasonably priced. The Room is old, but the staff’s attitude toward service was excellent because of that. The free space on the 10th floor is especially great—if you have time, you can really relax there.1) Entrance – Cons The front desk is on the 2nd floor. You have to go up stairs from outside. The escalator wasn’t available, which was a bit tough for seniors. (There is an intercom by the stairs for guests with lots of luggage or who need assistance.)2) Front desk – Cons A very small area that feels full once a few people come in.3) Front desk – Pros They stored our luggage before check-in and also gave us sightseeing information—the front desk staff had a great vibe. When we came back to check in, our luggage had already been taken up to our Room. We played a game at the front desk and received bottled water and snacks.4) Room – Cons Because it’s near the station, there is some noise as expected. An old-style insert key for the Room; it’s large and bulky to carry around. Some Reviews mentioned that anyone can ride the elevator, so they were concerned about security. The bathroom is small and outdated, with signs of patchwork renovations here and there; the faucet overhangs too far from the sink so water splashes out easily. There’s no outlet in the bathroom, so we used the hair dryer in the Room. The lighting felt dim like typical Hotel lighting—I wanted a brighter spot for drying my hair and doing makeup.5) Room – Pros A decent size—more than enough space. You can see the station from the window, which was exciting. We were leaving from Nagano Station the next day, so being close to it was perfect.6) Amenities – Pros There’s a shampoo bar at reception where you can pour your preferred type into a cup to take with you. The shampoo provided in-room was also from a well-known brand and perfectly fine. You can choose any other amenities you need at reception (DHC products).7) 10th-floor free space Coffee/juice machines like those at family restaurants are available anytime—drink as many cups as you like for free. Alcohol service is offered during set hours (beer costs extra). All-you-can-read comics/manga books available freely anytime during opening hours . Warm soba noodles are served during set hours.I booked single Rooms , but we all gathered here together , drank alcohol , ate soba noodles , held mini girls party . We could discuss plans for tomorrow.The lady working on 10th floor was kind & helpful .
