    The Room was spaciou...

The Room was spacious and had a great view. Since it was a weekday, the lounge and other facilities were not crowded and easy to use. The welcome drink tasting corner was fun. However, the guest Room corridors and elevator hall were dark even during the day, which felt more unsettling than luxurious. I did not use the large public bath this time. Overall, the property seemed well cleaned, but it was disappointing that the air conditioner in the Room smelled musty when turned on.

    It was very comfortable.

The location was convenient for access from the station and the Bikan Historical Quarter, and the Room was clean and comfortable. The staff were warm and helpful while maintaining a comfortable level of attentiveness. Thank you.

    A Stylish Hotel

After staying one night in Miyajimaguchi, I spent another night in Kurashiki, a place I know well. I stayed at this Hotel—a stylish property built on the former Tenmaya site. The Room was spacious and chic, perfect for relaxing. While it wasn’t exceptionally large, I was very satisfied with the large public bath featuring a strong-pressure shower and a bathtub where you can warm up slowly. With a complimentary drinks lounge offering panoramic views of Kurashiki, it made for an elegant Hotel stay. If I had to mention one thing, it was disappointing that you can’t choose the main breakfast dish; I wish there were options like an omelet as well as fish dishes. It was far too hot this time, so I’d like to revisit Kurashiki in a better season and stay here again.

This Hotel is in a great location!

I’ve visited Kurashiki for sightseeing about three times, but this was my first stay at Royal Park. It’s close to Kurashiki Station, and the area around the station has Tenmaya Department Store, other shopping malls, and an outlet park, so you can buy souvenirs and enjoy plenty of restaurants for both lunch and dinner. Also, Shirakabe Street, the Bikan Historical Quarter, and the Ohara Museum of Art are all nearby, so I was able to take my time exploring on foot. The Hotel breakfast offers a wide variety of Japanese and Western dishes and was very delicious. This is a great-value Hotel. There are still many places in Kurashiki I haven’t visited yet, so I plan to avoid the hot summer season and stay here again.

    Razor

The razor has been changed to an eco-friendly type, but it doesn’t shave at all, so you have to press harder and it irritates the skin.

    Delicious breakfast.

You can enjoy a buffet plus one hot main dish prepared daily. It’s very delicious, and having it in the lounge with a great view really lifts your mood from the morning. I also personally loved the Room’s rain shower—it was excellent.

Three of us stayed with friends for one night with breakfast included.

We thought it would be a triple room for three people, but it was actually connecting rooms! It was spacious and comfortable. There’s also a large public bath, so it was convenient not having to wait our turn for the bathroom. In the lounge area, coffee and tea are free, and we enjoyed some cold tea after our bath. The night view from the lounge was amazing. At breakfast, in addition to the buffet, we were served a freshly prepared fish dish on a plate. It was very delicious. The location is convenient too, so we’d love to stay again next time! Thank you very much!

    It’s clean and nice.

Overall, it was wonderful. The large public bath and sauna were great, but it was a bit disappointing that there were no chairs for outdoor cooling down. I would also like plates and glasses to be provided in the Room. The service was good.

A Modern, Comfortable Hotel Directly Connected to the Arcade Shopping Street

When I hear “Royal Park,” as someone living in the greater Tokyo area, I can’t help but picture that Hotel near Suitengumae. That one is tied to a major developer, but this Hotel seems unrelated. These days, as shopping streets decline, it’s increasingly common for several vacated storefronts in an arcade to be cleared and redeveloped into new Hotels or apartments. This Accommodation appears to have been born from that kind of redevelopment. Being directly connected to the covered arcade means you don’t need an umbrella on rainy days, and access to restaurants and other spots is excellent—nothing but advantages. Check-in was at the reception desk tucked into one end of a chic, softly lit lobby. I was assigned a Room on the top guestroom floor, the 10th floor—about 29 m². The nearly square layout includes Hollywood twin beds, a sofa, and a separate three-piece bathroom setup. As it’s relatively new, everything felt very clean. Being on a higher floor also meant open views; you can look out over central Kurashiki city. The only odd point was the air conditioner: for some reason it wasn’t built-in but a standard home-style unit, which stood out against the refined interior. Functionally it cooled fine—but why that choice? After enjoying a delicious dinner at a nearby French restaurant, I took a bath. With a bathroom that includes its own washing area, you can really enjoy bathing properly. And if you prefer an even larger tub, there’s also a large public bath on the top (11th) floor. I slept like a log in this very quiet Room—and by morning yesterday’s rain had completely stopped. Then came breakfast time—the highlight for my wife (a true buffet enthusiast). The breakfast venue on the 11th floor offers stunning views with light from two sides, making it an uplifting start to the day. On this day quiche was served as the main dish; everything else—salads, soup, small dishes, rice, bread items (including pastries), desserts, and drinks—was buffet-style. As always only at breakfast time my wife moved with remarkable speed; she went from dish to dish so fast she seemed almost like an afterimage. Many of the small dishes were individually portioned in little bowls—easy to pick up and go—and there were plenty of local Okayama specialties such as mamakari (marinated fish), which was satisfying. Overall this was an exceptionally high-quality Hotel; however compared with its number of Rooms there seemed to be fewer elevators than expected and wait times were noticeable. This could likely be improved by optimizing elevator dispatch logic. All in all، it feels like one of the strongest candidates when staying overnight in Kurashiki.

Clean, but the extra bed is basic… Please note that stays for three guests require caution.

The room was very clean and conveniently located. However, when we stayed with three people in one room, the extra bed was as hard as a board and we could hardly sleep. We would have appreciated an additional mattress topper.

    Perfectly balanced and wonderful.

I stayed here on a solo trip. I often stay at other Hotels in the same group in different areas, and I feel their inbound-focused style sometimes works well and sometimes backfires, but the Kurashiki location was wonderful. The Facility was clean and the Room was stylish. Fewer Hotels greet you when you head out after check-in these days, but they kindly said “Have a nice day,” and the breakfast—each small dish carefully wrapped—felt very hygienic and was great (and delicious). It’s close to both the station and the Bikan Historical Quarter, and although it’s in a shopping arcade, it’s very quiet at night, so the location is excellent. Highly recommended.

    The location was con...

The location was convenient and ideal for sightseeing in Kurashiki!! It’s just a short walk from the station, and since the Hotel faces an arcade, we could get there without using an umbrella even on rainy days. The Hotel felt very luxurious, and the service was excellent. There was a dedicated cloakroom, and I appreciated that they stored our suitcases securely with dial locks. The only drawback was that the large public bath had too few showers, and the changing room was small with not enough hair dryers.

A sleek Hotel in a prime location

Conveniently located near the station and ideal for sightseeing. Dinner was not included, so I asked the Hotel concierge for recommendations nearby, and it turned out to be a great choice. The food was excellent, and I was very satisfied. The only drawback was the large public bath. Since it’s in the city center, I understand there is no open-air bath, but there were too few shower stations and the changing area was small—so cramped that it became difficult to change when three people were there at once. The sink area also seemed constantly in use, so I gave up and went back to my room. The TV shows crowding status, but it indicated “crowded” for women the entire time.

    I was satisfied.

I chose this hotel because it’s close to the station, has a large public bath, and is relatively new. The building smelled wonderful, and features like the self-service cloakroom really lifted my mood. The staff were also very pleasant and helpful. The bath area was stylish with illuminated tubs, though I would have liked the pot bath even more if it had been an open-air bath. Since there was no sauna in the women’s bath, I personally would have preferred a sauna over the pot bath. Breakfast didn’t have many items, but I enjoyed the view, so it was still a good experience. I’d like to stay here again if I visit Kurashiki in the future.

This was my first stay. For two people, the Room felt small. I made a Reservation at this Hotel because it has a large public bath, but the changing area was cramped, and I wish it were more spacious. I don’t think features like the ceramic bath are necessary; I would prefer a larger changing area instead.

Although it’s in a convenient location and relatively new, it was disappointing that there was no outside view and the miso soup felt poorly prepared.

I made a Reservation because it’s close to the station and relatively new, but the Superior Double Room had frosted glass windows with only a very small opening, so there was almost no view. Cleaning and other facilities were good, but I think this kind of major structural issue should be clearly stated in the Room description. Breakfast showed some creativity, such as handmade items prepared in the kitchen, but it was disappointing that the miso soup—an important supporting item—was a shortcut version made by diluting pre-made concentrate from a dispenser. Also, I booked while mistakenly thinking it was another well-known chain Hotel, so I would have liked it to be clearly indicated on the booking page that this is an Anabuki Group Hotel.

    Although the laundry...

Although the laundry and cleaning are outsourced, the quality was terrible. Items labeled “Do Not Dry Clean” were dry-cleaned anyway, causing discoloration, and were returned with a strong petroleum smell. The shirt finishing was also very poor. I recommend not using the laundry service.

    Satisfied.

I stayed here with my daughter. It’s close to the station, and the covered arcade meant we were fine even when it rained. It’s convenient for getting anywhere, and I felt it offered excellent value for money.

    We were very satisfied.

The Room design was wonderful, very functional, and made for a comfortable stay. The large public bath was also very relaxing. Breakfast was excellent—both the main dish and the buffet selection were delicious, and we were very satisfied. The complimentary drink service was also a great touch.

    Thank you very much.

Thank you for your hospitality! The Hotel has a stylish, sophisticated feel. However, the entire building—including the Rooms—was quite dark. Even the restroom on the first floor felt very dark, both on the way there and inside. Personally, I would prefer brighter restrooms and Rooms. The meals were excellent—everything was delicious. The bath area felt too small, including the changing area. I saw a mother changing her baby with the baby lying on the floor, which I felt sorry about. Although it should be secured, the automatic door didn’t close promptly, and I was worried because there were naked guests inside.

    Would like to visit again

The entire Hotel is impeccably clean, providing great satisfaction. The breakfast buffet, though limited in variety, shows creativity and matches the pricing perfectly, leaving us very satisfied. We were initially concerned about the distance to the Bikan Historical Quarter, but it turned out to be no issue at all. The overall lighting is slightly dimmer, which feels trendy but might be a bit dark for elderly guests; however, this seems unavoidable. I would love to revisit while my eyesight remains good.

Perfect as a base for exploring Kurashiki!

Stayed for a visit to the Ohara Museum of Art and the Bikan Historical Quarter. Less than 5 minutes from the station. Located within a shopping arcade, it’s less than 10 minutes to the Bikan Historical Quarter through the arcade, making it a very convenient location. It was great not having to carry luggage to the Bikan area, so choosing this close-to-station accommodation was a good decision. The hotel was clean inside and had a spacious public bath, which was perfect for winter sightseeing. After bathing, I enjoyed relaxing in the lounge with some drinks. Since only tea was available in the room, I took some tea from the lounge back to my room; it would have been even better if there were more drink options in an amenities corner. I would love to stay at this hotel again next time!

    The Room is relative...

The Room is relatively small, but the Facility is excellent, and the bathtub is wonderful, making it ideal for families with children. Breakfast was average but tasted delicious. It is conveniently located near the station and shopping malls, making shopping easy. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay!

    Onsen

We chose this place for a trip with three women. The Onsen was available, and it was very comfortable. It is close to the station and conveniently located near tourist spots like the Bikan Historical Quarter. The breakfast was in a half-buffet style, which we found thoughtfully arranged.

    This was my second stay.

I stayed here last year and this year. The Hotel is conveniently located just near Kurashiki Station, which was great. There are many restaurants around the Hotel, making it very convenient. The Bikan Historical Quarter is also within walking distance, which was perfect for sightseeing. The Hotel was clean as well. On the first day, the large public bath was quite crowded, so I think it would have been better to adjust my timing. The front desk staff were kind and provided attentive service, for which I am grateful. When I bought some alcohol, they kindly gave me bubble wrap to pack it securely—this was very helpful. I am likely to visit Okayama again next year and look forward to staying here once more at that time!

    Clean and comfortable.

I stayed with my elderly mother. It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but it’s only about 10 minutes to the Bikan Historical Quarter, and they kindly stored our luggage after check-out, which was very helpful. Since nearby cafes don’t open early in the morning, I wish I had included breakfast with our stay.

    The location is excellent.

First Time in Kurashiki We traveled as a couple with a large suitcase. The hotel's location is perfect, both for access from the station and as a gateway to the historic district. We arrived on Friday afternoon, left our luggage on the first floor, and enjoyed a thorough visit to the Ohara Museum of Art. After returning to the Hotel, we refreshed ourselves in the public bath before having dinner at an Italian restaurant we had reserved. Kurashiki is compact, with many attractions within walking distance from the Hotel. The connecting room was very convenient and allowed us both to sleep soundly. Breakfast was served buffet-style on the 11th floor with panoramic views of Kurashiki town—a healthy menu focused on vegetables and no oil. My husband found removing plastic wraps from small dishes slightly inconvenient but manageable! After checking out, we left our luggage again on the first floor while exploring Achiyama Shrine and Ivy Square at Shikibo's former site nearby. Unfortunately, El Greco’s piece at Ohara Museum was under restoration this time—but that gives us another reason to return! We would love to stay at this Hotel again when we visit next time!
