A Hotel you’ll want to stay at again

This was our second stay. Earlier this year, we used this Accommodation as a base and really enjoyed walking around Nihonbashi, Ningyocho, Suitengu, and Kanda, so after six months we stayed again in the same way. This time for dinner we bought takeout from two department stores and long-established shops and ate in our Room instead of having dinner at the Hotel like last time. The reason is that while the shabu-shabu we had was very delicious, the portion was a bit large for us in our 60s. However, when we saw the posted dinner menu information at the Hotel, it looked like there were also options such as “choose-your-set meal” selections and small side dishes—so after all that walking, it might have been nice to relax over that kind of dinner after enjoying the large public bath… We talked about it together. We may have missed out. We did have breakfast at the Hotel, and as always the miso soup was delicious. I would have preferred the salmon a little more grilled, but it was a comforting breakfast. Kazusaya has many sights within walking distance and very convenient transportation access. Being able to leave our luggage before check-in or after check-out is also extremely helpful because it makes it easy to come back. We also appreciate being greeted with “Have a nice day” and “Welcome back.” We will probably visit again soon. Next time, we’ll have dinner too.

A relaxing Hotel where you can unwind

I stayed in a single room with breakfast included. It was my first time back in Tokyo in a while and I was exhausted, but the front desk staff were very kind, and the moment I arrived at the Hotel I felt an amazing sense of relief. The large public bath was also a great feature. Breakfast was delicious, and I was able to enjoy my meal at a relaxed pace. They also stored my luggage after check-out, which allowed me to take my time sightseeing in Tokyo and made for wonderful memories. This is an Accommodation I would definitely like to use again when I visit Tokyo.

Satisfied with the location and breakfast

One stop from JR Tokyo Station and a 1-minute walk from Shin-Nihombashi Station—excellent access. The area is a business district, but there are restaurants scattered around, and Kanda is just 5 minutes away, so you won’t have trouble finding places to eat. The Room would have been better with a slightly larger desk and stronger shower water pressure. For breakfast, I had a Japanese set meal with miso soup, grilled fish, and rolled omelet; it was as delicious as its reputation suggests. If I have the chance, I’d like to stay here again.

    I used this Hotel on...

I used this Hotel on a business trip. From the name, I imagined an old-fashioned Hotel and was curious why such a place would be listed on IKYU, but when I checked it out, it looked clean—so I decided to give it a try. I also prefer not to have a bathtub, and the availability of a Room with a shower booth was another deciding factor. It’s still a relatively new Hotel and very clean, and the reception staff were pleasant and welcoming. Breakfast is Japanese by default, but they will prepare a Western-style breakfast if you request it. The Japanese breakfast was highly satisfying: miso soup that didn’t seem to use frozen vegetables, grilled fish, slightly sweet rolled omelet, seasoned nori from Yamamoto Nori (perhaps they have ties due to the area), ume-and-shirasu furikake—everything was delicious. The only disappointment was that the kettle seemed to be broken; I called to request a replacement, but no one ever brought one before I checked out. Still, I ended up liking this place quite a lot and would love to stay again if I have the chance.

    Favorite Accommodation

I have stayed here many times. The service is excellent, the meals are wonderful, and the location is convenient. One thing I noticed this time was that it would have been nice to have at least one bottle of water in the Room. Also, unlike other Accommodations, there was no small container to place used tea bags or coffee after brewing. I would love to stay again, so I hope you will consider these suggestions.

    To change breakfast ...

To change breakfast to a Western-style meal, I needed to contact the front desk, but no one answered despite calling many times. I also tried calling from an outside line, but still couldn’t get through, so I had to get dressed and go to the front desk in person. Could you set it up so guests can leave a voicemail and receive a call back? My Room only had a shower, so I went to the public bath. However, all six shower booths were occupied and there were 7–8 people waiting in line. In the end, I got tired of standing and didn’t use the public bath; I used the shower in my Room instead. The shower head couldn’t be adjusted and was inconvenient. There was reddish limescale discoloration in the corner of the floor that felt unhygienic. The Room slippers also felt unclean, as if they were being reused without washing. The drawstring on the pajama pants didn’t slide well and was difficult to use.

A Hotel in Tokyo That Feels Like a Relaxing Onsen Ryokan

This was my third stay. From my first visit, I loved the calming, Onsen Ryokan-like atmosphere—hard to believe you’re still in Tokyo—and I’ve been coming back ever since. While it feels like an Onsen Ryokan, the large public bath has modern, easy-to-use showerheads, and everything is kept very clean, making it very relaxing. The only disappointment in the bath area is that paper towels are provided instead of tissue paper. They’re fine for drying hands, but I find them too stiff for blowing your nose. I understand this may be for cost-saving reasons, but it was the one thing that stood out. That said, this is a wonderful Hotel with a serene atmosphere and excellent hospitality that more than makes up for it. The carefully prepared breakfast is also delicious, and I’d love to try dinner next time as well. For such a great Hotel, the pricing also feels very reasonable. I will definitely stay again.

Rain for the first time in 100 days

Thank you for your help. On the day of arrival, it unexpectedly rained in central Tokyo for the first time in 100 days. I arrived in Tokyo much earlier than check-in, but stopped by and left my luggage at the Hotel first. They kindly took care of it, which was a great help. The location is very convenient from Tokyo Station, and I would like to stay here again when I visit Tokyo. The large public bath was excellent.

    One of the fans

During dinner, the male staff member spoke too quickly while wearing a mask, and it was difficult to understand. I would appreciate it if he could speak more slowly. Also, it would be even better with a smile.

    Great accommodation!

The location is conveniently close to the station and easy to find. The staff were kind, and the breakfast was simple yet delicious. I appreciated having a bathtub, but it was disappointing that the water was not clean (and I am not overly sensitive). That said, considering today's times, this price and service are excellent. I would love to stay here again!

    A modern "inn" befitting Nihonbashi.

Stayed for one night on January 3rd with my husband, who is turning 60 this month, and our daughter. We left our luggage at the accommodation in the early afternoon and visited Suitengu Shrine. From the moment we first interacted with the front desk staff, their service left a great impression. When we returned to the hotel, our luggage had already been brought to our room with thoughtful placement. The room was a triple-bed setup, so it felt slightly compact but was well-designed with two sinks for convenience. It was clean and comfortable. For dinner, I had requested a small surprise for my husband's upcoming 60th birthday. After enjoying delicious dashi shabu-shabu, a monaka wafer served alongside wagashi revealed an adorable handwritten card when opened. This surprise made us all laugh as my husband isn’t fond of sweets but still gave it his best effort! It became our first laugh of the year—a warm and memorable moment filled with smiles. The dashi shabu-shabu we had for dinner perfectly brought out the flavors of pork and vegetables—an ideal meal after walking all day that warmed us up completely. The breakfast next morning included miso soup with vegetables and grilled fish—all delicious—and even details like high-quality roasted seaweed showed their attention to detail. For us (a couple in their late 50s/early 60s plus our daughter), we were full from what was served on individual trays without needing seconds—though it would have been nice if we could have! After checking out, they kindly stored our luggage again while we visited Kanda Myojin Shrine. When picking up our belongings later in the day during check-in time for new guests on January 4th, there were no delays despite how busy it seemed—the staff remained calm yet attentive throughout every interaction. Back home now, we've placed that birthday card from dinner on our refrigerator door—it brings back memories of such an enjoyable stay every time we see it. A week later, my husband and I stayed at a famous large-scale high-rise hotel in Yokohama known for its exceptional hospitality; however, comparing both experiences made me appreciate this accommodation even more! The staff here maintained such thoughtful attention reminiscent of traditional inns (ryokan), making them feel far more professional to us—even elevating this place above others as a hotel overall. If there’s one minor point: while I appreciated how quiet the public bath always was during use (a rare luxury!), perhaps because of that low usage rate—the water temperature felt slightly lukewarm at times which made stepping out feel chilly afterward. Staying only one night felt like not enough—I’ll definitely return again soon! Already looking forward to trying something new from their menu next time!

Disappointed with the bed in the Room.

I have stayed here multiple times. The large public bath is a great feature, and this is one of my favorite hotels! However, I was surprised by the bed in the room this time. The bed pad on top of the mattress was smaller than the mattress itself, leaving part of it exposed. It was completely insufficient. I wondered how housekeeping approved this setup. Although I love this hotel and often stay here, I felt very disappointed on this occasion. I plan to stay again soon, but next time, please ensure that the room has a properly sized bed pad. Additionally, there was a long strand of hair caught between the pad and sheet, which made me uncomfortable. This time around, I even felt like asking for a refund for my accommodation fee. As professionals in hospitality, please ensure proper cleaning and bed-making standards are maintained moving forward. Thank you!

An accommodation that makes you want to give 5 stars every year.

I use this accommodation every year, and once again, it’s a 5-star experience without hesitation. The timing of serving tea or water is truly perfect, always prepared naturally before I even ask—such thoughtful hospitality always impresses me. The facility is well-equipped with a Mirable shower and ReFa hairdryer, showing attention to detail throughout. This time, the staff surprised us with a cake and towel art as part of their service, creating a heartfelt gesture that warmed my heart. The sashimi we ordered for an additional fee was exceptional in quality, freshness, and presentation—honestly exceeding expectations to the point of feeling apologetic for its incredible value. From customer service to cuisine and facilities, everything ensures a comfortable stay that makes me want to return again and again. I look forward to visiting every year from now on!

    Courteous Hospitality

It was an accommodation where we felt comprehensive and attentive hospitality. Despite its convenient access from Tokyo Station, it is located slightly off the main street, making it very peaceful. The front desk staff were very pleasant, the room was clean, and the public bath with slightly hot water was extremely relaxing. The miso soup at breakfast was exceptional. We would definitely like to stay at this accommodation again.

This was my first stay at this accommodation. I love Nihonbashi, so I decided to stay here. It was great being close to Mitsukoshi as well. My daughter and I stayed in a semi-double room, but it was the same size as a double room, so it felt spacious. The hotel is clean, truly calming, and wonderful. I am very satisfied with my experience here. Even though it was my first time staying, this hotel made me want to come back again. The bath area is relaxing and soothing—perfect for unwinding. It feels like an adult-oriented hotel in the best way possible. The staff at the hotel are also excellent! However, there were no hair ties available, which might be inconvenient for those with long hair.

Highly-rated Japanese hospitality you can trust

I was curious why the reviews were so highly rated, but after staying here, I completely understood. The location is excellent, just steps from Shin-Nihombashi Station and within walking distance of several other stations. The room was more spacious and comfortable than I expected. There are two sinks, one inside and one outside the bathroom, which made mornings convenient for twin use without any congestion. Although the toilet and bathroom were combined, there was a separate large public bath available, so it wasn't inconvenient at all. Above all, the staff's service and demeanor were incredibly pleasant; their "heartwarming hospitality" truly lived up to its reputation. If I have another chance, I would definitely like to stay here again.

    It was excellent.

I had a business trip to Tokyo and decided to go sightseeing with my family the day before. While searching for an accommodation, I came across "Kazusaya" offering a triple room, and it looked clean, so I made a reservation. Even when I informed them that we would be checking in late on the day of arrival, they responded kindly. The breakfast was great, with free refills of rice and miso soup. The public bath was especially wonderful! Although it wasn’t an onsen, it had a calm atmosphere which we really enjoyed. My wife also mentioned that she liked the hairdryer (ReFa?). The room itself didn’t have any unique features as it simply had three beds lined up, but it was very clean and well-maintained. However, the toothpaste was hardened, which was slightly disappointing... Overall though, everything else was perfect! I’d love to stay here again if I get another chance!

Very close and convenient from Shin-Nihombashi Station. A Hotel with a Japanese taste, and I was looking forward to the Japanese breakfast. The portion was just right, the miso soup with plenty of ingredients and rich dashi flavor was very delicious, and the Yamamotoyama seaweed was exciting. Despite being in the city center, the Room was spacious, the bed was large and comfortable, and above all, it was quiet and peaceful as no noise from neighboring rooms could be heard. Just one thing: the shower head holder didn’t move well. Being petite, I could barely reach it, and since it couldn’t move up, down, left, or right, the water aimed at the door, making it hard to shower without adjusting my body position. That part was a bit disappointing. I could hold it with one hand, but I wanted to use both hands freely. Maybe I was using it wrong. If I have another chance, I’d like to stay here again.

    Bath Etiquette and Cleaning

I always choose a Hotel with a large public bath when staying in Tokyo. However, it seems increasingly difficult to relax and unwind in the bath as I used to. I believe this is due to a lack of awareness about bathing etiquette in Japan, but perhaps Hotels are also not providing sufficient guidance or reminders on this matter. This time, I encountered guests bringing bath towels into the bathroom and talking loudly throughout their bath. Another guest who used the hairdryer before me left an excessive amount of hair behind, making it impossible to place my feet properly; I had no choice but to clean up myself. Nowadays, with baths becoming more globalized, it seems that around 80% of users are international guests. To ensure they can truly enjoy Japanese baths, spreading awareness about proper etiquette is essential. Incidentally, at the Hotel where I stayed the night before in Tokyo, I noticed that cleaning staff seemed overwhelmed or disheartened by their inability to keep up with cleaning tasks. It feels like this issue is common everywhere. It would be beneficial for everyone involved to discuss and implement measures promptly. I sincerely request your attention on this matter. I will also send similar feedback to the Hotel where I stayed previously.

    Front Desk Service

The front desk service was excellent. I enjoyed the breakfast, but it would be better if there were more guidance for refills and such with a bit more ease. Regarding the Room, it might make cleaning more challenging, but having a dustbin and tissues in the washroom would be appreciated.
