Fairfield by Marriott Gifu Mino

I stayed here on a solo trip with no particular destination in mind.I wasn’t expecting much—my evaluation is simply based on being able to stay the night.The Room was more spacious than I expected, and I was able to rest well in the king-size bed. There were some stains left on the sofa, which was a downside.The amenities included everything I needed, so I had no complaints.As for hospitality and service, at check-in they simply explained things at the front desk and handed me the key card.It was nice that they told me about nearby sights and places to eat.The bathroom was a shower booth without a bathtub. That worked fine for me.I also appreciated that it was separate from the toilet.The only Facility I used was the ice machine in the shared area. My Room was at the very end of the second floor, so it couldn’t be helped that going to get ice felt like a bit of a hassle.Since I didn’t have high expectations, there were no major disappointments.

Without any preconceived notions, I made a reservation and stayed here, and it was excellent. Since Gujo Hachiman was expensive during the Obon holiday, I chose this accommodation thinking it would be nearby. In reality, it wasn't in Gujo Hachiman, so perhaps this choice was better. Although I gave up exploring Gujo Hachiman, the check-in front desk service was kind, the facility was clean, and the view from the room overlooking Nagara River was perfect. Exploring Mino town was also enjoyable, and the dining spot recommended by the front desk staff was fantastic. It’s a place I’d love to visit again someday. The breakfast bento box exceeded my expectations—it was very delicious!
