A great option when visiting the city center.

I became a fan of Vessel Hotel in Nagoya, and this was my second stay at the Omiya location. I traveled by train. While I had some errands in Omiya, my main purpose was visiting Tokyo, so I stayed for two nights. Initially, I made a reservation through a certain international site but decided to rebook after hearing news about potential issues with reservations not being confirmed. Since it’s summer and involves sweating and lots of walking, I wanted a hotel with a large public bath where I could relax. Whether heading to Tokyo or Shinjuku, it takes about 30 minutes one way (an hour round trip). Considering these conditions and comparing hotels with public baths in central Tokyo, this hotel seemed less crowded due to its room count and bath size—and it turned out to be true! Even during busy times, there were only about six people at most in the bath area. Thanks to that, I could unwind comfortably. Plus, towels were provided right in the bathing area—a level of service above what I've experienced before. I debated whether or not to include breakfast this time. During my previous stay here, I did have breakfast and remembered how delicious it was. However, since there were other foods outside that caught my interest this time around—and knowing I'd likely overeat if breakfast was included—I decided against it. The welcome drinks, ice cream (and shaved ice which I didn’t try), were very helpful! The umbrella rental service also came in handy. And having an 11:00 AM checkout time was much appreciated. If you’re considering staying within Tokyo itself—this is absolutely worth considering as an alternative! While you might hesitate due to transportation costs from here into central Tokyo—if you use the Tokunai Pass for travel within Tokyo—it’s essentially no different cost-wise than staying directly inside the city center itself; just add ¥230 one way for your commute here instead! There are plenty of dinner options nearby too—many reasonably priced restaurants available! I’ll definitely be back again someday—thank you very much!
