An open-to-below space above the toilet seat

The Room itself was clean and nice, but the toilet seat was not heated and felt cold. Especially in winter, I would like it to be a heated seat. Also, since the middle of the building is open to the outside, it was quite cold. I was surprised that part of the Hotel interior is open to the outdoors.

Thank you very much for staying at APA Hotel & Resort 〈Midosuji Honmachi Ekimae Tower〉. While we appreciate your positive feedback regarding the cleanliness of the Room, we sincerely apologize for the discomfort caused by the toilet seat temperature. Please note that our toilet seats are not equipped with a heating function, which can be inconvenient especially during winter. We do have thick toilet seat covers available at the front desk and can provide one upon request; however, we regret that we did not inform you in advance. We also understand that you may have been surprised by the open-atrium design inside the building. As the corridors face outside air, the temperature difference compared to your Room may have caused inconvenience. While we provide a haori (light jacket) in each Room, we will strive to offer more considerate guidance on how to stay warm when moving around the Hotel. We take your valuable feedback seriously and will continue working as a team to improve our service so that guests can enjoy a comfortable stay within our current facilities.
