    The Onsen is far away.

    Because I checked in after arriving on the last flight, the Onsen was already closed that day. I considered going the next morning, but it was quite far away and required walking through the airport, so I gave up. One disappointment was that the razor was dull and didn’t provide a satisfactory shave. Breakfast was buffet-style, and both the number of tables and the quality of the food were decent.

    New Chitose Airport

    I stayed in a runway-side double Room this time. The Room feels its age and has a sense of history, but it was kept very clean. I could see the runway from the window and watched planes taking off and landing every few minutes. The runway at night was beautiful too. Above all, since it’s a terminal Hotel near the domestic flights area, it was convenient for everything—souvenirs, meals, and the Onsen. I was also able to get the corn bread and cheesecake I wanted! I debated until the last minute between this Hotel and one near the international flights area, but choosing this one was absolutely right. It was perfect for fully enjoying New Chitose Airport all day. Thank you very much. If I have another chance to relax at the airport all day again, I would love to stay here again.

    Staying overnight at the airport is fun, but

    I stayed the night before my flight since it was a good opportunity. It was a bit fun being able to watch planes up close from the window. The building itself seems old, and the bathroom fixtures and bedside setup weren’t very convenient. Also, you can’t finely adjust the air conditioning in the Room, so it kept feeling too hot or too cold… The inside of the electric kettle lid was stained brown as well, so I didn’t feel like using it and went to buy coffee at shops in the airport instead. That said, since the Hotel entrance is at one end of the airport, going to shops is quite a hassle. It’s nice that you can use the Onsen in the airport, but it’s on the 4th floor so it’s a bit far, and perhaps because I went when it was crowded, it didn’t feel very clean either. As for breakfast buffet, there wasn’t much I found tasty; there were signs advertising seafood but nothing to be seen, and even though there were toppings for tea rice available, around that area was just messy and almost empty. If at least some of the side dishes had been warm, they might have tasted better… I think your impression will depend on whether you see it as “fine for free” or consider breakfast as part of what you’re paying for with your stay.

    This was my first time staying here.

    I stayed at this Hotel for the first time because my flight the next day was early. It was very convenient to be inside the airport, and I appreciated being able to use the Onsen Facility in the airport free of charge. The price is somewhat high, but considering the convenience, it felt reasonable.

    Extremely convenient for exploring the airport.

    This was my second stay. I stayed for one night again to enjoy the airport dining. Since it’s inside the airport, it’s extremely convenient. I can go out whenever I like, and when I get tired, I rest in my Room. Thanks to that, I was able to try quite a lot of the shops in the airport. The Room is standard. It was very clean and well maintained. The Onsen in the airport is outside the Hotel, so you need appropriate clothing. This time I went around 8:00 p.m., when it was less crowded, so I went in a sweatshirt set. As I wrote in my previous Review as well, some guests may not need the included breakfast every day, so I would appreciate it if you could reduce the price by even 1,000 yen accordingly.

    This was my first time staying at a Hotel inside the airport.

    This time, we traveled to Hokkaido to celebrate my 70th birthday and our 35th wedding anniversary. After returning our rental car, we used the Shuttle Service to the airport and stayed at the Air Terminal Hotel. The airport is huge—really huge! We used the Onsen Facility for free, but it’s quite a walk and feels more like a day-use Onsen in town, so it may be better if you plan to spend more time there. We went at night but didn’t use it in the morning. The Room with a runway view felt like looking at a miniature diorama!

    A well-maintained and excellent Hotel in every way.

    - This was my second stay, and I was happy to see that my previous stay history had been properly kept on record. - It seems that most of the Rooms on the runway side are singles. The airport view right outside the window and the sound of airplanes made it a wonderful Room for aviation fans. - In the Room, I could hardly hear any noise from adjacent Rooms, so I was able to relax in peace. On top of that, I could enjoy the Onsen in the same airport Facility free of charge, which made for a lovely time. - Free breakfast: The selection was so extensive that it felt like breakfast must already be included in the Accommodation Fee. There was also a soft-serve ice cream machine. - There was one short hair on the toilet seat, but it was within an acceptable range. Overall, I felt cleaning throughout the building was fairly thorough. Thank you very much for a comfortable and pleasant stay.

    I thought it was nice that breakfast was included, but

    The best part was that it connects directly to the boarding gate. It was truly convenient. I had high expectations because breakfasts at Hotels in Hokkaido have been great so far. There were fewer options than at a Business Hotel, which was quite disappointing. Please note that there is no safe deposit box in the Room. The Onsen was good, but it’s a bit far if you want to use it multiple times.

    Night view

    Watching planes take off and land from the Room kept us entertained the whole time. The in-room bath was spacious, with a large bathtub that was very comfortable and easy to use. We couldn’t have breakfast because our flight the next morning was early, which was a bit disappointing, but we had a great stay. Thank you very much.

    You can relax knowing you’ll always make it to your flight on time.

    Although you can easily make it by train from central Sapporo, I chose to stay overnight to avoid the hassle of getting ready early and traveling in the morning. It was more expensive than staying in the city, but it’s appealing if you want to enjoy the airport at night. The Onsen on the 4th floor was also fun to visit. The free buffet-style breakfast was very popular, and the food was decent. It’s worth choosing for the peace of mind that you’ll definitely make your flight the next morning.

    This is my favorite Hotel.

    I love this Hotel because you can see airplanes from the window and enjoy the Chitose Airport Onsen. However, lately I’ve started to notice signs of aging in the Facility. The air conditioning is weak, the bathroom lighting is dim, and due to the layout, the refrigerator door feels difficult to open. Since breakfast is free, it may be unavoidable, but it feels like the quality has declined. I hope these points will be improved.

    Enjoy New Chitose Airport

    This was an unplanned stay after two years. The courteous service from all the Hotel staff was very pleasant. (The cheerful morning greetings from the young cleaning staff were also refreshing.) The Room is spacious, so there’s plenty of space even with two suitcases open. One concern: the lighting in the Room and bathroom is a bit dim. (It’s a little difficult for reading or writing.) It was also nice to be able to use the airport Onsen for free as many times as I wanted. (You have to walk past airline counters and souvenir shops, so I paid a bit of attention to what I wore.) The soft-serve ice cream at the free breakfast was delicious. New Chitose Airport is fun. I really enjoyed it—trying Hokkaido gourmet food and taking my time choosing souvenirs, etc.

    Peace of mind

    The Facility is somewhat dated and there isn’t much that stands out, but the excellent location and stunning views alone make it worth staying here.

    It was very disappointing!

    I booked this Hotel for the first time on purpose, because if JR services were suspended due to the cold wave (and I stayed in Sapporo), I would have been stuck and unable to get home. I also had an early-morning flight. I was also staying after visiting the Lake Shikotsu Ice Festival, and wanted to warm up my chilled body in the Onsen. However, when I checked in, I was told the Onsen Facility was crowded and that I would not be able to bathe tonight. They said bathing would be possible from 7:00 a.m. the next morning. Because of my early-morning flight, I couldn’t use the Onsen at all and had no choice but to use the unit bath. Since the number of guest rooms is fixed and you know how many guests are staying overnight, shouldn’t overnight guests be prioritized over day visitors for access to the Onsen Facility? As a result, I boarded my flight still chilled to the core, and after returning home I developed a fever due to feeling unwell. I think this is an irresistible Hotel for fans who enjoy watching planes take off from their Room, but unless there is a very good reason, I won’t be returning.

    Relaxed by the Onsen and the night view.

    I stayed here during a business trip. The room was spacious, featuring not only a writing desk but also a table perfect for dining, giving it a luxurious and functional feel. Unlike many recent electric kettles that don't retain heat, this hotel provided one that does, along with complimentary bottled mineral water in the fridge. I especially appreciated being able to enjoy plenty of hot tea, black tea, and coffee. The highlight was the stunning night view of takeoffs and landings. Another great feature is the onsen within the airport that you can use as many times as you'd like. Although I could only visit at night, it was relaxing and helped relieve my fatigue. Breakfast was a standard hotel buffet; there was soft-serve ice cream available too, but I didn’t try it in the morning so I can't comment on its taste. New Chitose Airport is known for its gourmet options, making it an enjoyable spot to explore before or after check-in due to its unbeatable convenience. While some reviews mentioned feeling the facilities were dated or overpriced, I personally didn’t mind at all. Considering the night view and unlimited onsen access, I found it reasonably priced. If I have another business trip to Sapporo, I'd love to stay here again!

    Conveniently located at the airport.

    The room had a runway view, but since it was the farthest room, one window mostly faced the wall of the neighboring building, and the other window only offered about half a view of the runway. This was slightly disappointing. The Room was spacious enough and, although somewhat old, it was overall clean. However, there were some black debris inside the ceiling light shade, and there were stains between the toilet lid and wall. That said, as this trip's main purpose was enjoying airport gourmet food, having a Hotel located within the airport terminal was extremely convenient. On the second day, we extended our checkout by an hour since our bus to Northern Horse Park departed at 12:30 PM; this extension came at a reasonable cost.

    I was satisfied with the Room that had a clear view of the parking area this time as well. However, there was one strange thing. When I looked up while gargling at the sink in the Room, I noticed a few short hairs stuck to the ceiling here and there. Did someone really tall stay here? It's a mystery (lol). Other than that, I was satisfied and would like to stay again.

    Cost-effective and excellent accommodation

    Being an accommodation within the airport, the advantage of being able to choose souvenirs without worrying about transportation felt significant. The breakfast buffet was very delicious, and I ended up eating too much. If I have the chance, I would like to use it again next time. Thank you very much.

    The Hotel You've Always Wanted to Stay At

    I had always wanted to stay at this Hotel. This time, I used two Rooms: a twin and a single. The Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The bath Facility at the airport was nice to use, but it was slightly far and a bit inconvenient. Most of the restaurants in the airport closed by 8 PM, leaving limited options like ramen shops open until 9 PM, which was disappointing. The breakfast was satisfying for being complimentary.

    Overall, a recommended Hotel.

    The room facilities may feel a bit outdated, but the convenience of being located within the terminal and the staff's excellent service are highly satisfactory. It is an ideal choice for the first day upon arrival or the last day before returning home. Although I did not use the Onsen this time, I would like to try it on my next visit. Personally, I recommend this place.

    Convenient for golf trips

    I stayed for a multiple night stay and played golf. Although it was Hokkaido, the daytime was quite warm. However, being inside the airport, the air conditioning worked well, so I didn’t need a sunshade and enjoyed various meals and shopping. Breakfast was included, but the menu was the same every day, which wasn’t exciting for those staying multiple nights. The onsen inside the airport was also available with a wide variety of massage options. However, after evening hours, many guests staying at the onsen facility made it crowded and noisy. Despite being business hotel-style accommodation, I felt that the price was high; however, all rooms seemed to be fully booked. Considering it’s summer vacation season, I suppose it’s understandable.

    You can see many airplanes.

    When opening the room, there was a noticeable smell. The large public Onsen is located within an airport facility, but it’s quite far and closes at 11:30 PM. Returning to the room requires passing outside, so heading back 10 minutes before closing is recommended. Using the bath in the room might have been a better option after all. I didn’t have high expectations for breakfast, but there were surprisingly decent options available. The younger male staff provided pleasant greetings and smiles, creating a friendly atmosphere that was heartwarming to see. That kind of experience matters most. From the room, I could see various aircraft like JAL planes from Otani (sho jet), two Pokémon-themed planes, Kuroneko cargo planes, and many others—it was truly enjoyable! Before departing on my journey, I waved at one of the planes and both the captain and co-pilot waved back—it was such a touching moment!

    Convenient and Fun Prime Location

    Perfect location for domestic flights. The Onsen is a bit far, but it can be enjoyed both at night and in the morning, allowing for a relaxing stay. You can also enjoy plenty of shopping at the airport facility. However, the breakfast had fewer local Hokkaido ingredients than expected, which was disappointing. I wished there were seasonal fruits like melons available. The front desk staff were polite and warm, leaving a positive impression. I would love to stay here again. The signage inside the airport seemed small and hard to read, which might cause confusion. There were also few signs within the facility itself, making it difficult to navigate.

    First-time Accommodation

    I have used Chitose Airport many times, but this was my first time staying due to an early morning flight. After arriving in the evening and checking in, I enjoyed a fulfilling time dining, shopping inside the airport hands-free, and even relaxing in the Onsen. On the departure day, I had breakfast at the dining area and entered the airport within 5 minutes from the Hotel. The Room faced the airport side, offering a beautiful view of the night lights. I would love to stay here again!
