West-Karuizawa Hotel atelier blå by LONGINGHOUSE

We stayed here for my husband’s birthday trip and also requested a birthday cake. Throughout our stay, we felt the staff’s thoughtful hospitality, and it was a Hotel we would love to return to. We were also grateful to be upgraded to a higher-grade Room free of charge—every service was truly appreciated. The calm atmosphere allowed us to relax and enjoy our time. Thank you very much.

■Hotel The Hotel was clean overall and very comfortable, making for a pleasant stay. There is also a seating area outside the Hotel, which was great for relaxing while enjoying the natural scenery. Also, with checkout at 1:00 PM and breakfast available until 12:00 PM, it was wonderful to be able to take things really slowly in the morning.■Room I stayed in the “Nordic Sauna” Room, and it was very spacious at 50 m² and extremely comfortable. Having a sauna in the Room separate from the bath was especially appealing, as I could enjoy it whenever I wanted. The refrigerator was also quite large, with plenty of space in both the fridge and freezer sections, which made it convenient to store lots of drinks and food. That said, there were a couple of minor points I noticed: - The Room felt a bit dark. If it could be made brighter, it would be even more comfortable. - I couldn’t freely adjust the air-conditioning temperature. It eventually became comfortable, but it felt slightly warm for a while after entering.■Breakfast Overall, I was satisfied with breakfast. There were many drink options and soup as well, so it felt like a well-rounded offering—especially the quiche, which was delicious. On the other hand, perhaps due to limited staffing at times, there were moments when coffee beans remained stuck in the espresso machine or buffet items took a little time to be replenished. Still, overall it was a satisfying breakfast.■Facility It was nice that there is a designated smoking area and that an izakaya pub and café are also on-site—there’s plenty to enjoy within the Hotel itself. Free bagged ice (rock ice) and water dispensers were also available, which was very convenient.■Service All staff members were polite and kind throughout my stay.■Overall Review Overall this was a comfortable Hotel where I’d like to stay again. With its spacious Rooms, sauna option, and well-equipped Facility offerings in particular، I would highly recommend it for anyone looking to relax at an unhurried pace.I would love to stay again if given another opportunity—thank you very much.
