    Spacious Room, abundant nature, and a relaxed checkout time

    ■Hotel The Hotel was clean overall and very comfortable, making for a pleasant stay. There is also a seating area outside the Hotel, which was great for relaxing while enjoying the natural scenery. Also, with checkout at 1:00 PM and breakfast available until 12:00 PM, it was wonderful to be able to take things really slowly in the morning. ■Room I stayed in the “Nordic Sauna” Room, and it was very spacious at 50 m² and extremely comfortable. Having a sauna in the Room separate from the bath was especially appealing, as I could enjoy it whenever I wanted. The refrigerator was also quite large, with plenty of space in both the fridge and freezer sections, which made it convenient to store lots of drinks and food. That said, there were a couple of minor points I noticed: - The Room felt a bit dark. If it could be made brighter, it would be even more comfortable. - I couldn’t freely adjust the air-conditioning temperature. It eventually became comfortable, but it felt slightly warm for a while after entering. ■Breakfast Overall, I was satisfied with breakfast. There were many drink options and soup as well, so it felt like a well-rounded offering—especially the quiche, which was delicious. On the other hand, perhaps due to limited staffing at times, there were moments when coffee beans remained stuck in the espresso machine or buffet items took a little time to be replenished. Still, overall it was a satisfying breakfast. ■Facility It was nice that there is a designated smoking area and that an izakaya pub and café are also on-site—there’s plenty to enjoy within the Hotel itself. Free bagged ice (rock ice) and water dispensers were also available, which was very convenient. ■Service All staff members were polite and kind throughout my stay. ■Overall Review Overall this was a comfortable Hotel where I’d like to stay again. With its spacious Rooms, sauna option, and well-equipped Facility offerings in particular، I would highly recommend it for anyone looking to relax at an unhurried pace. I would love to stay again if given another opportunity—thank you very much.

    Nishi-Karuizawa Hotel

    I had an errand in Saku City in the morning, and stayed here because it seemed convenient for traveling after spending time in Karuizawa. I chose a Room with a steam sauna and enjoyed it. The Facility was still new and clean. While the service is different from that of a typical Hotel, I felt it was efficient and well-suited for a simple short stay like this. The amenities were also well provided. I would like to use it again if I have a similar opportunity.

    For the price, it was a bit disappointing.

    I stayed in a Room with a sauna. The table in the Room didn’t seem to have been cleaned—there were clearly food crumbs and sticky residue left, which was unpleasant, so I didn’t use it. The overall design of the Room and the furniture were lovely. Check-in and check-out are self-service via a machine at reception. This may suit guests who prefer minimal interaction with staff, but I felt it was rather impersonal for the price. Dinner and breakfast could be added later. I ate at the Hotel restaurant, but both morning and night it seemed one staff member handled everything from serving to cooking, and I noticed used dishes from previous guests were left on tables without being cleared. There are quite a few tables, so you choose an available seat yourself. The food was average, and I felt this isn’t a Hotel you come to expecting great meals. The restaurant interior also felt somewhat cheap—more like a Business Hotel—which contrasted with the guest rooms. They offer ReFa hair iron rentals and L’OCCITANE amenities, so it might be nice for a girls’ trip. Overall, I felt the price didn’t match the service or hospitality.

    With a sauna

    The sauna was easy to use even during this hot season, and it felt so good that our family took turns using it. However, since we checked in after having dinner out, it was quite dark and there were hardly any shops nearby, so it may be difficult to find without a car. Parking spaces in front of the Hotel were already taken by guests who arrived earlier, so we had to park a little farther away, and it was pitch-dark. There was only one staff member at the front desk, and there weren’t enough towels and toothbrushes for our group, so we went to pick them up ourselves. The bath area and the Room were clean, so we were able to stay comfortably.

    We stayed here for my husband’s birthday trip and also requested a birthday cake. Throughout our stay, we felt the staff’s thoughtful hospitality, and it was a Hotel we would love to return to. We were also grateful to be upgraded to a higher-grade Room free of charge—every service was truly appreciated. The calm atmosphere allowed us to relax and enjoy our time. Thank you very much.

    A tastefully designed Hotel set amid tranquil nature

    It was a shame that it rained from evening until dawn, but the peaceful fields outside, the surrounding mountains and environment, and the comfortable Room were very soothing. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast with colorful vegetables, quiche, tantanmen, and more. We were able to relax in the lounge as well, where coffee and snacks were available. The spacious and spotless bathroom facilities felt wonderful! We would love to come again and explore various interesting shops and places in Miyota along with the Hotel. The layout—entering on the first floor and going up to a second-floor Room—is nice, but carrying heavy luggage upstairs may be a bit difficult for older guests. A handrail or similar support might make it feel safer. We truly had a relaxing stay all the way until our late checkout after noon. Thank you very much to all the staff!

    Plenty of potential!

    Check-in starts at 5:00 PM, which felt a little late. I made a Reservation for a Room with a sauna. Right after entering, there was a staircase, and the layout felt like a maisonette. Upstairs, the high ceilings and simple yet refined interior design made it an irresistible space for anyone who loves interiors. The sauna was steam-style, but it heated up properly and was comfortable since you can lie down inside. I was happy to find an Oropo set in the refrigerator. It was also a nice touch that the hair dryer, curling iron, and straightener were all ReFa. I chose the dinner-and-breakfast plan, but to be honest, it didn’t quite meet my expectations. What stood out to me was that the main dish at dinner was lukewarm and the vegetables didn’t feel fresh or crisp. For breakfast, the vegan tantan noodles had noodles that were too soft for my taste. The croissant was delicious. On the second day I had plans and checked out around 11:00 AM, but I appreciated that standard checkout is available until 1:00 PM.

    We had a pleasant stay.

    I stayed here because it was newly opened. I chose a Room with a sauna, and it was excellent. The mist sauna warmed me up gently and thoroughly from the inside. The amenities were convenient as well, with L’OCCITANE products and a ReFa hair dryer and styling iron, and it was thoughtful that extra towels were available. I booked a plan with breakfast only, and the salad vegetables and dressing were very delicious. Both check-in and check-out are self-service, so you can do everything without feeling pressured (the staff will help if you’re unsure), and I also liked being able to complete the process quickly and head straight to my Room. (I arrived at night, so I especially appreciated how smooth it was.) The staff were kind, with just the right amount of distance.
